"Listen, we're just going to go meet up with a few people to discuss plans. Turns out some of the Gryffies found the room of requirement, so we're going to meet them there. Then, we'll decide-"
*creak*
Rudy's head snapped to the stairs and the young boy standing on them and cursed under his breath.
"Rudy-"
"Not now, Jason. You, what're you doing creeping away like that?" he asked as he began to take a few tentative steps forward.
"Rudy-" Jason said, a little more alarmed.
"What? I'm not going to hurt him!"
"Rudy!"
"What!?"
Jason lifted a finger, pointing at something outside the window.
"Someone's going off into the Forbidden Forest and doesn't want to be seen...their Obliterating their tracks..."
"Besides, aren't there aurors all over the place right now? Despite the risk of getting caught, I'm not sure what more we could do that they aren't doing right now..."

Mary was listening to Rudy, pondering, when she heard the stairs creak. She jumped up from her couch in such a panic that she tripped herself on her gown's belt and fell flat on the carpet.
She calmed down a bit when she saw that it was just a first year, after all she hadn't done anything to get herself into trouble, yet.
She collected herself up while Rudy was interrogating the boy.
"Someone's going off into the Forbidden Forest and doesn't want to be seen...their Obliterating their tracks..."
"What? Who is it?" She said as she joined Jason by the window, squinting hard to see.

Willem's eyes bugged out and his mouth fell open. "H-h-hurt me?" He looked at them, horrified, then turned around and sprinted up the stairs. He stopped at the top, turned around, grabbed his wand, stepped to one side, and pointed it right at the top of the stairs.
If they followed me I could disarm them. . . Hopefully.
He didn't know if he even wanted to disarm them but he didn't have much of a choice.
He took a deep breath and waited.
