Nicholas quickly hobbled his way towards his fallen wife and the young Wesker siblings. On his way, he drew his wooden training sword and his wand, jamming the wooden spellcasting toll into his neck and quickly casting a "Reenervate" spell to sharpen his senses.
He quickly kneeled over his wife, facing the direction of where the last of the creatures was. Observing the wounds quickly, his felt his heart hammering at a deadly pace. There was so much blood...
"Torpeo Morsus." he muttered quickly, waving his wand as to dull the pain in her body. He quickly grabbed Lilliane by the shoulder and looked her square in the eyes. "Lilianne, Lilianne, look at me. Dear, I need you to be brave. I need you to be strong. Alright? I'm going to help your sister and my wife, but I'm going to need your help, alright? I need you to watch my back while I bring them to safety. You just need to stick close and warn me if that thing is coming towards us, alright?"
His tone was brisk, commanding and firm. His eyes held hers with grim determination. Nicholas was going to get them to safety. There was no other option.
And if that creature was still alive when he did so, it wasn't going to remain so for long.

As she watched the new events unfold before her unfocused eyes, Isabelle though she was going insane.
Especially when Nicholas appeared.
The ringing in her ears going down, she made out part of what Nicholas was telling Lilianne.
Silly... Knight... Won't let me live this one down...
Coughing a bit of blood before she grinned painfully, she squeezed the small hand that was joined in hers, and released it, giving Lilianne a small push.

Sir Lannsman was asking for her help. He was trusting her, again. Even if she was nothing but an unexperienced child who could barely hold a wand...
His wife might be dying, just like Isabelle, but there he was, composed, firm and determinded. He would have every reason to lose it, but there he was, caring for Isabelle and her, even when it would be quicker to just take Dr. Lannsman away from them.
How could I ever dream to be as brave as he is?
Lilianne felt Isabelle's hand squeeze her own, and her sister gived her a soft push.
She let go of Isabelle, and stood up on wobbly legs, staring at her shaking wand.
She took a deep breath, wiped her arm across her blood and tears covered eyes, and nodded silently at Nicholas.

"Get them out of here, Nicholas!"Zea yelled, still fighting with the creature, whipping it and dodging. "I've got this one covered!"

"That's a good lass. We Gryffindor's need to stick together, especially in times like this. We rise above it." he said, half to her and half to himself, remembering the words of his own Head of House. Quickly, he pointed his wand to Isabelle and cast the pain dulling spell on her as well.
He soon after levitated his wife, and picked up Isabelle, draping her over his shoulder after sheathing his training sword. He slowly but surely began making his way towards the students and teachers who had been fortified on the raised dais. He saw Professor Longbottom directing traffic over there and was hoping he'd reach him in time before the they left the carnage that was the Great Hall.
They'll be alright, Nicholas...they'll be alright. Focus, just focus.
The crack of a bull whip and Zea's shout bolstered his morale.
She's got us covered. Now Lilianne will be safe too.
Slowly but surely, they pressed on.

As Neville started to go, the other kids did. Stevie followed, but less enthusiastically. He gave one look behind at Lilianne, who looked like she was being saved. Good. That would be much less of a burden on Stevie's mind...
Then he saw the other kids. He frowned. They wouldn't just leave them behind, would they? They would come back after they bring Aesir back, right? The staff will be able to help them... Right?
Momentarily, his mind was brought off the steady mantra of 'It's all my fault'.

The speared creature lay in a pitiful heap, trying to get up, but it's strength was leaving it's body quickly as the copious amounts of dark red blood spilled from its grievous wounds. It moaned aloud, not able to do much else; even it's tentacles upon it's shoulder simply writhed and slithered on the ground.
The last remaining creature on the other hand, was putting up a desperate fight. It's right eye had been swollen shut by a rather nasty strike from Zea' bull whip, and it was definitely disoriented from the amounts of spells it had been hit by. Dozens of gashes covered its body from where it had been struck by the whip and drops of blood dripped to the floor, spattering wherever it went.
It slowly backed away towards the door as it fought madly.
Zea could see it clearly in it's eyes.
It wanted to leave, to escape. It was afraid. But terrifyingly enough, it knew it stood no chance now.
The suits of armour now blocked off that one escape route. Weapons raised, they came crashing towards it.
The noise distracted the beast for a few moments; it turned around to attack them instead. It succeeded in promptly knocking off one of the shield arms of an animated knight and proceeded to them at bay, but leaving itself completely open to Zea.
It had panicked.

Zea cracked her whip, loudly, and struck, lifting her wand at the same time. She was screaming a succession of dueling spells, one after another - Disarming, Stunning... anything that came to mind.
As the monster turned on her and ran towards the students, she gave it everything she had.

The knights continued their work against the creature, keeping it occupied and fighting as hard as they would have in life, ignoring what would have been mortal wounds. The fight looked even enough until Zea nailed it rather hard with a Confounding Hex. The effects were immediate; it lolled to the side heavily, trying to maintain it`s footing with difficulty. The tentacles missed the knights with higher frequency.
One was succesfully lopped off by a battle axe strike and another knight managed to strike from the side with a pole axe, pinning the thing to the ground. The enchanted armour struggled to keep it from escaping, the others helping to pin it down with their own weapons.
Still it struggled, mewling in agony, but unable to escape cold steel.

Lilianne followed Nicholas quietly, holding on to his cloak and keeping a lookout for his back as he asked. She felt relieved as the Ravenclaw Head of House covered them. It look as if they'd be safe.
She could only pray it wouldn't be too late for Isabelle and Dr. Lannsman. They'd both lost so much blood... Isabelle could barely breathe... What if...
Move now, panic later... don't be a burden, Lilianne... He doesn't need this on top of everything else...

Slung over Nicholas' shoulder, Isabelle raised her head again, still trying to look over Lilianne. She still winced in pain, even though the professor had greately dulled it.
She caught a glimpse of Professor Winters making an Indiana Jones out of herself.
"Wow..."
At last feeling hopeful that her sister would be safe, Isabelle finally allowed herself to drift into unconsciousness.
Mary and Sera were with the group of older students forming a protective barrier around the younger ones as Professor Longbottom led the evacuation.
Caught on in the flood of panicked students and having been unable to help Isabelle and Lilianne when they realized what was happenning, they fought off the feeling of powerlessness by helping protect the younger students.
They watched helplessly when Isabelle and Dr Lannsman got seriously injured, Mary digging her fingers so hard into Sera's arm she drew a little blood.
When it finally looked as things were getting into control, they felt much relief, and were ready to leave the scene with the evacuees.
Noticing Stevie was looking back, looking pretty bad, Mary let go of Sera's arm, and moved up to the Gryffindor, taking his hand.
"Come on, ninja. I think they'll be okay, we need to go, now. They'll be okay. I promise." She said, trying to brighten her tear streaked face with a half-hearted smile.

She was floating now and the pain subsided.
I'm dead... So this is what it feels like...
And then it dawned on her: she was going to miss everyone, specially Nicholas and her children. Her parents, her friends, her cousins, her co-workers- heck even the milk man back home. Tears ran down her face.
Nicholas...? She wasn't sure if she said it, or thought it.
She tried again, "Nic-...."

''You're doing a great job Lilianne. We just have a little more to go. Still with me?'' he'd begun to ask until he heard Althea speak Nicholas' name. His resolve almost shattered at how pathetically weak her voice sounded. Choking back a sob, Nicholas tried his best to maintain his composure.
''It's alright, love. I'm right here and you're going to be safe. You here me? Alright, Althea? Just hold on, dear, please...'' he said, almost begging, a slight quiver in his voice betraying his storming emotions inside. He had to maintain his composure, this had to be deal with first, he couldn't give into fear just yet, Althea and Isabelle's lives depended on it.
He pressed on towards the fleeing staff and students.
''Longbottom!!!'' Nicholas roared in panic. ''Wait!''
Please, for the love of all things sacred wait...
He looked to the crowded students, and teachers. ''Will someone please help me carry them!?'' he screamed in abject terror and frustration. Nicholas seemed on the brink of rage.

Neville, hearing his name, turned his head. He steeled himself against the sight of the carnage, and gently lowered Aesir's body back to the ground.
"I need three seventh years to get him to the hospital wing, now. The rest of you, get the rest of the students out of here, go back to your common rooms and stay there."
"Zea! We need you!" he yelled, jogging across the Great Hall to where Nicholas was. He dropped into a crouch by the bodies.
"We'll levitate them, get them to the hospital wing ASAP. I need to contact St. Mungo's now, otherwise we won't be able to do anything."

Zea curled her whip up, attaching it to her belt. She pushed her sweat-soaked curls out of her face, and jogged over to the group of fallen, panting.
"We have to get them out of here, now," she said. "Neville, take Isabelle and get to the hospital wing right now, get St. Mungo's. Nicholas, levitate Althea. There's no time to panic now, let's just get this done."
