Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions is known to be the best robe shop around. It certainly is an asset to Diagon Alley, even more so than the shoddy Second Hand Robe place.
It was a few weeks before the start of term, and Dónall Kennedy was in Diagon Alley shopping for some school supplies. He had bought his new books, and quills already, and was just trying on some new dress robes. After this stop he would go on to Flourish and Blotts to purchase some new reading material and maybe some text books as well, if the mood would strike him, that is.
Madam Malkin was a friendly, squat witch who ran her shop with a smile. Dónall, however, treated her like garbage, especially when his parents weren't around, which was more often than not. This time was no exception to that rule.
"Get me the finest black and green dress robes you have, woman. And make it quick, I have a life, you know!" He barked orders at the poor woman, expecting her to cater to his every whim. She was a shop keeper, and that was their job, was it not?
Flustered, Madam Malkin replied. "Err... Y-yes sir, right away sir." And, with that, she disappeared into the back of her shop to look for the finest robes she could offer.
Moments later she returned with a few sets of robes, none by any famous designer though she rattled on of how much they cost and who was buying them these days. This was unacceptable to Dónall. He sent her back to find him something a real Wizard would wear.
Reappearing from the back of the store, Madam Malkin held a set of designer robes, with silver trimming and intricate celtic embroidery around the edges. The sleeves were a deep green, and the rest of the body was jet black. These robes were made by the famous wizard designer Samhain Munk, and were not in the least bit cheap.
With a look that somewhat resembled a sneer, he snapped, "Yes, I will try these on and see if they are acceptable."
Don hopped into a dressing room and quickly dressed himself in his finery. He pulled back the curtain that served as a door and looked in the three sided mirror in front of him. "These will do, witch." Then, without another word he returned to his dressing room and got dressed in his everyday clothes, again.
A moment later, at the front desk of the shop, Dónall simply dropped a small pouch with 20 Galleons on the counter and said "I assume this will cover the expenses," and then stalked out of the shop, without waiting for his change.
However, on his way out the door, he walked right into someone, not paying any attention at all.

Diagon Alley. The people, the shops and the hustle and bustle of wizarding life and today was no exception. From Madam Malkin's to Mr Ollivander's, most of the best shops with some of the best products witches and wizards could buy.
After buying most, if not all, of what was on her list, Alora set off for new robes for her old ones were now too small. Stepping into Madam Malkin's Dress Robes for All Occasions, she was rudely budged out of the way, by what looked to be someone she knew. After straightening up, she breathed deeply before saying "Excuse me! Do you actually mind looking where you are going? A sorry wouldn't go a miss." She watched to see if the person reacted to her. Before she could say anything else, she realised who it was, Dónall Kennedy from Slytherin.

Marian Bennet stood on her tip toes, her left hand shielding her eyes against the bright sun. The cobbled street known as Diagon Alley was crawling with students who were eager to buy their school supplies for the upcoming term at Hogwarts. Meri wasn't a tall girl, actually she wasn't even an average height girl, at 5 feet and one inch she was more on the petite side, so it's no wonder why she was now having trouble seeing over the tops of people's heads as she searched for Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. Finally a few shops down Meri spotted it. Impatiently, Meri made her way through the multitude of people, throwing dirty looks at the people who chose to stop in the middle of the walkway in huge huddles to gossip while making it impossible for other people to pass easily.
Already Meri had purchased her textbooks from Flourish and Blotts for the array of classes she was taking, as well as refilled her potion stock at the Apothecary. Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions was next on her busy agenda for this afternoon, although she wasn't too fond of the shop herself. Madam Malkin was a kind enough lady but Meri always felt uncomfortable standing there as enchanted tape measures did their job, much like how many muggles find it a bother to go the the dentist.
As Meri walked the last few meters to the shop she noticed next door a new racing broom being sold, and her head turned as she walked, while tucking a stray piece of brown hair behind one ear. Another person's voice brought Meri out of her wishes for extra pocket money. "Excuse me! Do you actually mind looking where you are going? A sorry wouldn't go a miss," it said. Meri looked toward the sound of the voice warily, afraid it might have been speaking to her, before she realized it was a girl addressing to a boy who had apparently just bumped into her. The pair were blocking the doorway so Meri hung back, in sight so they would know that they were in the way, but far enough to be able to enjoy the upcoming scene.

Dónall had walked right into a female someone. It was a seventh year Ravenclaw, he noted. He recognized the face, but he never made it a habit of being on a first name basis with anyone other than his core circle of 'friends'.
"Why don't you watch where you're going, Jannings!" he retorted, not caring that it really had been his own fault. "You Ravenclaw nerds walk around as if you own the darn place."
He glared at the girl, a look of disdain plastered on his face. He would wait for her to get out of his way before he continued on with his shopping. He would do her no favors by moving.

Alora glared back at him, but she couldn't help herself. Before long, she burst out laughing. "Ravenclaw? Owning the place? What about you Slytherin Boy? Think you are all that." She looked up at him. Even though she was quite short for her age, she could sure swing the argument. "Plus I'm not moving out of the way for you Kennedy. Its just true what they say isn't it? Slytherin's think of nothing but themselves." Alora blinked at him a few times before turning on her heel and walking away slowly, but it wasn't like her to walk away from an argument where she had a good chance of winning. What was happening? It was Kennedy. Just Kennedy.

...Slytherin's think of nothing but themselves The Ravenclaw girl then walked away slowly, leaving Dónall standing there wondering where the argument had gone.
He yelled after her, "You couldn't be more wrong, Jannings. You know nothing of Slytherin House." Lowering his voice to nearly a whisper, he continued, "And nothing about me."
And with that, he turned on his heel and finally left the shop, haughtily brushing past a familiar looking girl on his way out. He continued on his way to Flourish and Blotts.

Hearing his words frustrated her, she turned back and watching him walk away she suddenly edged forward to follow him. Merlin's Beard,I'm not following him!? She had no control over herself. As she paced after him, she felt herself trying to restrain but just couldn't.
Soon enough she caught up with him outside "Well, if I don't know that much, then you tell me." Although her voice began as more of a yell, it broke half way through and became a whisper. She couldn't bare to look up at him, her eyes were focused on the ground. You have done it this time Jannings, you really have she thought to herself as she examined her shoes.

Orynn hated outings like this. He delayed coming here, to Diagon alley, whenever possible. However, he couldn't any longer. He was in desperate need for new robes, and with the beginning of school just around the corner, it wouldn't reflect well if he was ill-prepared. Even though he wasn't commonly known for sporting robes at Hogwarts anyways, having one or two pairs was required for those special occasions.
At the moment, Orynn had own a crimson colored fitted long sleeved shirt which was loose and wavy at the wrists. This caused his hair to stick out as if it were a beacon on a dark night. His eyes were the same color as his hair, making him appear to be almost dead-looking. Upon his ears were a few studs, and a silver chain which linked two of these studs. His fingers as well, sported matching rings. The Transfiguration professor had a pair of dark green trousers which were on the borderline of baggy and professional.
At the moment, the Professor was trying to tear himself away from some interesting reads from the Book Store; Flourish & Blotts. Books were so much more fascinating that dress attire. Still, he needed to purchase some before the day was done. So, he exited the book store and made his way towards Madam Malkin's.
Orynn walked with his hands held behind his back, and his wand was snug inside his left sleeve. He looked directly at the Robes Store he was headed for, and recognized a number of students from Hogwarts. One of which, from his own house, seemed to be coming straight towards him, with an older Ravenclaw student following after him.
"Mr. Kennedy, Miss. Jannings?" He nodded curtly at the two of them, and immediately got the impression of much tension. Which was not uncommon whenever a Slytherin was about.

Don turned back to look at the Jannings girl. 'Stupid over-achievers...' he thought to himself. He continued walking, not paying her any attention until he was spotted by his Hogwarts Head of House. It was strange to see a wizard of the school staff outside of the castle, especially during the summer holiday.
"Professor, sir, how may I help you on this very fine day?" Throwing in a bit of cheek, Donall cocked an eyebrow in his Head of House's direction, ignoring the girl behind him.

"Yeah, obviously you think of other things." She thought as he completely ignored her, wasn't he just saying that she needed to know more about the house? But apparently it isn't acceptable to ask.
Suddenly noticing someone else talking to her, the looked round Donall just to see te Slytherin Head of House looking back at them. "Good Afternoon Professor" She muttered under her breath before, what looked to be, hiding behind Donall. However, really she was going back to her original position, waiting for an answer from him.

Orynn raised his eyebrow at the Slytherin's eagerness to serve. He was mildly taken aback, perhaps these students were caught off guard seeing a Professor out of the classroom. Orynn repressed the urge to roll his eyes, did they think he never spent a moment outside of Hogwarts? Ridiculous nonsense.
"No help required Mr. Kennedy." Orynn snuffed the offer like it was a bug. He quickly spoke again though, addressing both the students;
"It's fortunate I've run into the both of you. I don't know if I ever got the chance to before, but I wanted to congratulate both of you on the Outstanding grades you both achieved on your Transfiguration Ordinary Wizarding Level exams. Well done." Orynn was sincere, and gave a respectful nod to both of his students. Nonetheless, he could've been congratulating a colleague on a successful business transaction and one wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Were Donall's ears decieving him? Had his Head of House just congratulated him on his Transfiguration OWL? Even more so, had he just congratulated the obnoxious Ravenclaw girl that was still standing behind him? He clenched a fist in annoyance.
"Erm... Thank you, professor." He managed to get out. "I suppose it must have been because of the genius professor we had."
It was times like these that Don loved the fact he was able to lay on the Slytherin charm as best as the rest of them. It was his way of dealing with those in authority, ithout having to share any sort of information or interact for too long. Usually, the professor would get annoyed and decide to end the conversation, or take off House points for his cheekiness.
In this situation, however, Dónall wasn't too sure how he could get away without having to wait for the Professor Novim to leave on his own. And, even then, he would still have the blasted Ravenclaw girl to deal with.

Peering out from behind Donall, Alora couldn't actually believe the Slytherin Head of House was congratulating a Ravenclaw, of all people, on her O.W.L's. A slight smile spread across her face, since she was one of the youngest seventh years, she was pleased a professor thought she did well.
"Oh, thank you" She muttered hoping she didn't recieve an evil look from Donall. "Thank you so much Professor."

Orynn's face was almost expressionless, which brought doubt into the sincerity of his words;
"Oh, not at all. Students' hard work should be acknowledged, if nothing more." Orynn nodded towards the two students.
"If there is nothing more, I will then leave you both to your day." Orynn side-stepped around the teenagers, and began taking steps backward and away from them both.

As soon as his Head of House was safely out of sight, Dónall turned around to face the persistent girl behind him. He glared at her, with annoyance and malice in his own eyes. He didn't like when people pried.
"Why are you still here, silly girl? I don't have to answer your foolish questions, and you are wasting my time."
