Althea gasped. "Oh no- not more!... What do we do? ... Is Orynn alright?"

"Yes, he is dear. He left last night and was in perfect shape enough to run away from the school." Nicholas said with the slightest hint of disgust. The Auror face became a mask."I'll bring this to the attention of Nathan and the Ministry workers. Also Shellivia. She might be able to help out with that, her specialty lies in that field of expertise. I'll bring this information to the Headmistress immediately, unless you would like to, Sir Silizar."
Nicholas' tone of determination flowed as he spoke. This matter would be dealt with one way or another.

"I had every intention to inform her... However I am unsure where she is at the time. Is she in the Head Master's office, or does she have other pressing matters to attend to?" He said to Nicolas. He could not help but see the resemblance between the two, he didn't like it one bit.

"She should be there. If not, be sure to ask around or send for me. It would be best to find her as soon as possible. I'm half tempted to send a patronus; it's a lot of ground for two people to cover." he said, noting the gravity of the situation if he wanted to use magic. "I'd rather wait unless if it were truly necessary to do that though."

After Nicolas spoke of the direction of where the Head mistress was he took off in haste. Yet each footstep he took was silent as if his feet never touched the ground. Not a single sound was heard as he flew down the hall and towards the head mastress's quarters.

Althea shook her head and simply said, "I don't like him."

Isabelle's health was improving nicely. She was now able to sit or lie on her back without much pain, though it was still hard to shift around. She was able to stand and walk on her own for a good length of time before she needed to sit and rest again, which allowed her to go to the bathroom or wash up on her own.
She had been offered the option to be transfered to her own bed in the Ravenclaw tower, as she only needed more rest and a daily checkup at that point, but she declined.
She preferred to stay in the hospital wing because it allowed her sister to visit, but also because she enjoyed the pampering and attention she was getting.
Another strong argument for staying in the wing is her hopes to see that cute Australian doctor again...
Isabelle had been visited by many of her classmates through the days she had been in the wing. Many had been impressed by her selfless act, and they were calling her a hero.
Though she was all smiles when friends were around her, something was haunting Isabelle. She enjoyed getting the attention of so many of her peers, but she couldn't hide her discomfort when the talk inevitably led to her acts in the Great Hall.
And when she was alone without anyone to distract her, she could spend hours staring at the same page in her books or magazines, lost in though.
-----
Isabelle was currently being visited by her two best friends Mary and Sera, their feud of course forgotten in the turmoil of the attacks. She was propped up on several pillows on her bed, reading a teenage witch magazine, while the girls were seated on chairs on either side of her, Mary reading a comic book, and Sera currently painting Isabelle's toenails. They were each busying themselves on their own task, breaking up the silence in a regular pattern to suddenly discuss some gossip.
If it wasn't for their location, you could swear it was business as usual for the girls.
Mary had noticed Dr Lannsman painfully heading for her office earlier, but Sera had kept her from going and offering support, guessing that it was something the Doctor had to achieve on her own. Mary relaxed when she saw the doctor's husband head her way.
But now however the three girls looked up together as a strange, hooded man passed them on his way out of the doctor's office. Mary shivered visibly and they looked to each other inquisitively.
"So who's the creep?"

"Sorry, dear, were you talking to me?...That was Redic Silizar, the new Head of House Slytherin." She slowly made her way over to Isabelle's bed. "It's good to see that you're doing much better... I'm sorry that I couldn't have been more help."

The girls looked startled for a moment, Isabelle in particular looking worried that she had been caught calling the stranger a creep by a staff member, but she relaxed when the Doctor seemed to disregard it.
Mary bounced off her chair to offer it to Dr. Lannsman. Sera's hand went unsteady at her mention of Silizar's function and she accidentally streaked nail polish across Isabelle's foot.
Isabelle smiled warmly at Althea and shook her head. "Likewise... to both of those statements, Doc. You got seriously hurt trying to save my sorry butt, I don't see what could be 'more help' than that. If anything, I'm the one who should be sorry that I got myself in a position where I needed to be saved..."
Mary looked at the Doctor in a mix of admiration and concern. "That was so amazing, what you did... Are you still in pain?"
"Wait." Sera interrupted Mary. "New Head of House Slytherin? What happened to Professor Novim?"
The other two girls gasped together in concern as the implications of the statement dawned onto them.
Professor Novim is quite handsome, after all.

"Don't apologize for something that was beyond your control- If it wasn't you or myself, it would have been someone else. There were 3 of those things, I couldn't fight it... So if you're going to do something dumb, do something right, hun?" She smirked.
"I guess House Gryffindor rubbed off on me a little..." She grunted, gritted her teeth and sat down on the chair that was offered to her. " Thank you, and yes... it still hurts, but I'm getting better."
She turned to Mary, "I don't actually know for sure why Orynn left. I do know that his father passed away recently, which could be the reason... Between the four of us, I'm glad he's gone. Nicholas and myself never really got along well with Orynn."

The girls listened to the Doctor intently, Isabelle having put her magazine down on her bedside table and looking pensive for a bit before she winced and grunted when Mary went to take a seat on the edge of her bed and accidentally sat on her foot.
"Oops, sorry!" Mary said before she shifted to an empty spot on the bed.
Sera had completely forgotten about her nail polish and was still holding the bottle and brush over Isabelle's foot, dripping little bits of red paint over it.
"I didn't know his father died..."
"But what about Transfiguration?"
"Is that... guy going to teach it?"
"Professor Novim was such a great teacher... I can't believe he's left in the middle of the term..."
"Does it mean we don't have to hand back that essay?"
"What do you mean you didn't get along with him?"

"Well girls, I don't know who will be teaching transfiguration, but I wouldn't worry about it too much, but if you can you should try to finish your homework, as the new teacher will most likely pick up where Orynn left off..." She sighed a little. "You should be more careful with that nail polish..." She cleared her throat, "We don't get along because of something he did to me when we were still students here at Hogwarts."

Nicholas' gaze remained locked on the door where Redic had left, trying to bring together an evaluation of the new professor.
The first impression wasn't comforting.
Finally, he shuffled over to where Althea was and put a hand gently on the small of her back.
"Orynn can be a hypocrite at times and was very much more full of himself back in our school days. Let's just say that I managed to lower his ego a few notches. And yes, he's gone. I saw him leaving some time after the attack in the evening. Seems he wanted it quiet." he said to the small crowd of women.

"That seems suspicious... Him leaving like that... It's up to the Aurors to find out what happened here." She twitched mildly when Nicholas touched her still bandaged back. "Ugh- I'm tiered of feeling like this. Please may we go and try to find my wand?" She looked up to Nicholas. "I feel so useless."

Isabelle and Sera started fussing in low voices over Isabelle's foot when Althea pointed it out to them. Mary however kept her attention to the Doctor, and then to her husband as he came over and put in his two cents.
"Hum... Surely you don't think Professor Novim had anything to do with the attacks?" she said in a worried voice.
"Scourgify! There you go, now will you please get off my... wait, what?" Sera, who had taken out her wand to fix her mess, did a double-take when she caught Mary's words.
"That's ridiculous. He's the Deputy Headmaster, why would he be involved in attacks on his own school?"
"Well, he is a Slytherin..."
"And a great teacher, too! You know we can't just throw all Slytherins in the same bucket, even if they usually make it rather easy..."
"There's no way he can be involved, nuh-uh. Doesn't make sense. He probably had a good reason to leave, it's just coincidence that it happened now."
"He probably wanted to make an exit because he doesn't like to attract attention. That's just the way he is... All secretive, and mysterious..."
"And grey eyed..." sighted Mary, falling into a day-dream again...
Isabelle cleared her throat uncomfortably as she seemed to suddenly remember the presence of school staff with them.
"Anyway..." She said, waving her hand in dismissal and looking over at Althea, "The Aurors should figure out what happened soon enough. I don't really know you guy's history with Professor Novim, but I just don't see him try and murder my sister."
She chuckled a bit before she went on. "Even if she's terrified of him for some reason..."
"They haven't found your wand yet either? That's odd. Hasn't the Great Hall been cleaned up already? I was just starting to think no one even bothered to look for mine..."
