Kel had nodded to Arcturus' statement/question about them meeting at the Halloween Ball and decided not to tell him he had been disgracefully drunk. She winced slightly at his outfit, but appreciated the fact that he was being original. She herself was wearing a large, slightly poofy bun with two Quidditch team flags stuck through it, along with her wand, a pencil, a pen, a ruler and a candy bar. Thank goodness she had so much hair, otherwise she would need a bigger bag to carry all her stuff. Well, not really, considering the messenger bag she had was already magically enlarged and had quite a few pockets designed solely for the purpose of carrying all her junk. But hey.
She smiled and waved at Aesir as he drew level with them, noticing his purple hat fairly quickly. It seemed quite a lot of people were being interesting today!
"It's going great, professor!" She said loudly, to be heard over the babble of the students on the stairs above, below and beside the trio.

Aesir smiles to the students responses, laughing a bit at Arcturus'.
"Well, I could easily say yer all too lazy ter fly." he said in a sly tone. Looking down, as he continued his slow flight upward, he glanced back to the students. He plucked the hat from his head and placed it onto Kel's. "There we go. Purple and yellow go nice together. Jus' make sure that Syhinad steers clear. Bit of a hide'n'seek, capture the hat or flag combination, ye know?"

"Accio Hat."
The purple hat that was in Aesir's hand slips from his fingers and zooms down a flight, followed closely there after by Syhinad himself, resplendent in robes of silver and black. He takes the hat and mutter a quick "Finito Incantatum." over his hat restoring it to its silver and black state.
He glances up at Aesir with a squint.
"You know, i should send you to the headmistress's office, but that would only encourage you."
He glances at the other students.
"Hello there, he hasn't been misbehaving has he?"

Fay looked over at Professor MacLeod, and stifled a laugh as he placed the silly purple hat on Keladry's head and then watched in wonder as the hat went soaring in the air to Professor Taikal's hands. It looked as though the professors' game had come to an end.
In answer to the Charms Professor's question, Fay replied, "Well, if by misbehaving you mean lounging about on his broom, I'd say 'Sure, Professor!'" She flashed a bright smile to emphasize the humor.

Laughing good naturedly, he looks to Syhinad as he moves his broom over the staircase and plops onto the ground. "Oi! That's cheatin'! We said no magic, an' what was that? Speakin' of misbehavin'. Settin' a bad example right in front of the kids here."
He takes a few steps forward, slinging the broom over his shoulder. "So, what now?" he asked, sounding somewhat bored.

Kel pouted a bit as she large hat left her head, but she laughed along with Fay as the slightly grumpy Charms professor replaced the hat on top of his own head.
"Well, I'd say brooms are a type of magic, seeing as the can only fly because of spells placed on them, but still."
She smiled at the comment that telling the Headmistress on Aesir wouldn't do any good, because it was all too true.

He fixed Kel with a disgruntled look, saying "You're not helping."
Trying to, but failing to keep his angry face, it dissolved with a bit of laughter and left him with his charming smile. "Yes, but I didn't cast it, so-"
He snatched Syhinad's hat and plopped it onto his head. "I win."

Kel laughed, then raised her hands in a signal of defeat. "I cede." she told him, still shaking slightly with laughter. She turned to the Charms professor "I think you should, too. He's got ya." she informed him.

"Whether or not he's cast them he's still using it to his advantage, as in I can't even hope to keep up to him on that. Beside's, he's quick enough that he should have been able to snatch it out of the air, or maybe his seeking skills are a little more rusty than i've assumed."
He grins though good naturdley and glances to the others.
"I hope that I'm not keeping you from your classes.."
Back to Aesir.
"We should continue with that work we were doing on those.. prototypes."
taps his nose knowingly.

Kel grinned.
"No, you're not keeping me from any classes. I was heading to the library to start a sketch. I stopped to help Fay; some Slytherin didn't care enough to move three inches to the side, so he just plowed right into her." Kel exaggerated a little on the 'plowed' part, but she thought it was close enough to the truth. She sounded a little sarcastic as she said the 'three inches' part as well; I mean, it was true! He didn't care enough to move a bit to the side to avoid walking into someone! Ugh, Slytherins! They made her sick!

Fay smiled at the professors, turning her attention more toward the Charms professor and his question. She nodded and muttered 'Darn straight' as Keladry spoke, and then added in her own two cents. "That's right, professor, some seventh year Slytherin git shoved past me a bit too hard and made me drop my pile of parchments and pouch of special inks and quills!"
"Kel here was delightfully helpful in retrieving my things, though." she said with a grin, and nod toward the younger girl.

Kel grinned back at Fay, the praise making her feel warm and tingly inside.
"Well, I suppose I should be on my way. See you guys later!"
Kel waved, then trotted off down the stairs, heading for the library. Then, suddenly, she stopped and turned back, her abrupt movement causing her bag to swing around with rather unnecessary force, thumping a small Ravenclaw in the stomach as he hurried past.
"I'm sorry!" Kel cried, immediately bending down to rescue the winded boy. He was wheezing, but scurried off as if he expected her to pull out a knife and start waving it around. Kel looked after him, concerned, then shrugged and waded her way back up the stairs.
Finally, back where she had started, she informed them "I just decided that I'm going to go outside. Anyone for coming? I'm going to see how good the snow is for packing. . ." Kel trailed off, a roguish glint in her hazel green eyes.

Fay half waved at Keladry as she went off on her way, and almost flinched as she saw her bang right into a small Ravenclaw boy. The Hufflepuffs weren't having the best of luck today, for sure.
At Keladry's return and question, though, she answered nicely, saying, "Sure, I'll join you. The library's not going anywhere, but that snow out there wont last forever... Thank Merlin!" She gigled at her last comment.
"I just need to drop my things off in my dorm room, but I don't feel like going back and forth. Or, hey..." Fay then turned to the Charms professor who had yet to be on his way, and asked him with a sweet smile, "Professor Taikal... You're such a great Charms professor, would you mind maybe helping me with my banishing charm?" She batter he eyes for effect, playing the part of flighty Hufflepuff very well.

"The prototypes! Yes! Let's go!" he said eagerly, as though just remembering. He swung the broom off his shoulder and moved to the banister of the staircase. "I'll meet you in my office, get yourself comfy for outside!"
Without waiting much longer, he jumped off the staircase, not even bothering to tuck the broom in its riding position. His joyful laugh could be heard as he plummeted downwards.

Kel chortled as she watched Aesir plunging dare-devilishly down, then turned back to the Charms professor and Fay.
"I'm going to head down there m'self, so if you want me to take your stuff, I'd be okay with that." She told Fay, who was - it seemed - trying to get Professor Taikal to help her with a Charm. "I wanna dump my stuff, and maybe grab a pair of more substantial gloves and my winter coat. I mean, I wear the rest of the stuff I need so I don't freeze in here, but I'm sure I'll need to be even warmer out there." Kel said, jerking her head toward one of the tall windows set into the wall of the castle, through which you could see a blanket of pure white snow stretching as far as you could see (the Forbidden Forest was behind the opposite side of the castle).
Momentarily captured by the astounding view, Kel pulled herself gently away from the lovely white hills and back to the staircase.
