Pet (if any): A black squirrel name Butter
Where did you attend school? Hogwarts
What House were you in (If applicable)? Ravenclaw
Family History (Go into detail, if possible):: Her mother, Alorah, was a divination lover, with an affinity for wildlife. After many years studying in the forest the ‘secrets of the stars’ with a centaur named Taroanin, she fell in love with him and became an animagi. Their union produced Shellivia who was unaware that she was part wizard until random things started happening and at the age of 11 she received a letter from Hogwarts. After a two year controversy over if she should be allowed to attend given her birth and unstable status as a member of the wizarding community, Shellivia was accepted at Hogwarts and was sorted into Ravenclaw. This event further caused some contraversy with the centaurs, who believed that Shellivia should not have tried to merge with the wizarding world. As things stand at the moment, Alorah and Taronin live in a seculded woodland to near Scandanavia and Shellivia keeps contact with them, though her original herd is still ratehr cool twoards her when she vists.
Physical Description: As a centaur she stands about 6 feet in total, about 14 hands high at her withers. She has a white dappled coat that has splotches of brown all through it, and deep brown eyes. Her hair is white with streaks of brown, and her tail is more brown with streaks of white.
In her human form, she looks to be a young woman in her early twenties. She is 5’6” in height, with mismatched blue and green eyes, pale skin with freckles and has the same white and brown hair.
Personality Description: (Go into detail, if possible)
Strengths: Highly intelligent, Shellivia is quick to react in any type of situation, and has the highest success rates in tracking down and retrieving rogue or AWOL creatures alive than anyone else in her department's history. Despite her defensive attitude, she is a very kind person who has a soft spot for those she sees as different or in need of protection. She has put herself in danger many times to rescue stranded magical or non magical creatures alike. She also has been on several ‘search and rescue’ missions for lost wizards and sees it not as a burden but an honor to help others.
Weaknesses: A loner by nature and conditioning, Shellivia dislikes large crowds, and urban settings. They make her nervous and paranoid, causing her to miss important details that would normally be necessary to her job. She is also very aggressive when insulted or belittled, and can anger quickly, usually throwing scathing insults and powerful kicks at the person offending her.
Why would you like to teach at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? Shellivia is specialized in Care of Magical Creatures, due to her extensive experience in the field with the wild beasts. She feels that it is best to teach what you know and love and thus would perfer that class.
What would you like to teach?
Have you had any prior experience (In character, and on other sites)? Shellivia taught for a while in an alternate universe, and the few classes she did teach turned out fairly well.
Please give us an example RP:
It was hot humid and damp. The leaves and twigs squished around her hooves and toes as she crept through the forest as silently as possible. Her flexed her arm and felt her wand pull against the straps that kept it secure against her skin. It was a comforting feeling, like the sling of her quiver over her shoulder or the way Butter’s tail was still curled against her back. She needed comfort right now, time was running out.
She looked back at the other wizard who was following her with some difficulty. He was new to the force, Borris, and his inexperience in the field was showing.
“Are you sure about the reports?” he asks, his eyes still searching the ground.
“Except for a few scuff marks a while back, I can’t see anything wrong here”
She looked back at him, and saw how tired he was getting.
“I’m sure; otherwise I wouldn’t have kept going. Now keep it down, you’ll only-“
A crash and a screech are heard at a distance and several spells are shot off. Borris freezes.
“What… who was…”
“Those were stunning spells, about 400 ft west of here.” She crouches low, well as low as possible. “With those cliffs, he’ll have to head south; otherwise he’ll get boxed in. we might be able to…” she looks at Borris who seems completely confused, “Let’s move!”
She galloped hard south, hoping to cut him off; Borris struggled through the under brush but eventually fell behind.
After reaching a path, she moves back to a high vantage point and draws her bow. Silent she waits, until finally she sees the figure moving out of the bushes.
It wasn’t a beast or a human anymore. Whatever dark magic that crazy wizard has used on the poor child had morphed it completely beyond recognition. Its arms were too long and the hands were clawed, it’s back humped and deformed, one leg was twisted backwards. She released her arrow. It hit a tree right about its head, making it jump to the side and crouch, then another hit the ground a few feet from its leg, and another to the other side of it, backing it against a nearby rock. It snarled in her general direction the fur on its back bristling.
“Stupidfy!” Shellivia screams and the force of the spell knocks the creature back and it cracks its head against the stone, knocking it out cold.
Butter was all chatter and fluff as she moved down from the little hill; she reached up to pet him as she moved closer to the creature.
It was alive, and it still has a regular heartbeat, but she was still careful as she hog tied it and gagged it. The reports on what it did to the two muggle animal control personnel made her tie each knot tighter.
“Don-t, you, su-pose you, could, sl-ow do-wn do you?” Borris pants heavily and leans against a nearby tree.
“No, I can’t. I need to get him back to the HQ ASAP. If you can’t keep up, find another unit.” She sent a signal up in the air to alert the other parties that the boy had been captured. Loading him up onto her back, she has Borris lash him down securely.
“Wait here for the others. Subject was captured without direct confrontation. One stunning charm was sufficient. Tell commander Artel I’ll be at the containment zone if he has further questions.”
Without waiting for a response she gallops off in the direction of the base. Timothy. The boy’s name was Timothy. He was only 9 years old.
