Zea grinned at the girl.
"You can draw me a cat, if you'd like. I like cats."
As she spoke, Bandersnatch leapt up on the desk, murring. He was a rather ugly, nearly bald creature, with a sparse covering of peach-fuzz. She petted him on the head.
"Yes, I like you, Bandy. Keladry, meet Bandersnatch. I know he's not much to look at, but he's a good friend."

Kel smiled at Bandersnatch and rubbed him, not seeming to mind that he was pretty much hairless. If she met the worst, most awful Slytherin in the corridor, she would probably smile at them, she was that deliciously happy.
"Hello, Bandersnatch," she greeted. "I could draw you a pal. Would you like that?" she asked seriously, rubbing his little cat cheeks with her free hand.

Bandersnatch murred at Keladry, and then wandered over to the goldfish bowl on the windowsill to watch them.
Zea grinned at Keladry.
"Drop by and show me what you come up with next," she said.

Kel nodded loudly at Zea.
"I'll be sure to do that! Thanks again for your help." Kel said, carefully putting her now animated drawing back in its binder, along with her journal, tucking her pencil behind her ear and her wand into her pocket.
She slung her bag over her shoulder and got up, turning at the door to smile gratefully one last time at Professor Winters.
"I know this is like, the fourth time, but thank you." She waved, then disappeared down the corridor. Then appeared again going the other way, toward the stairs this time.
[I did mean to say 'nodded loudly,' by the way.]
