Neoma stepped off the halted train, with not as much nervousness as she would have before she had met Alora. The seventh year Ravenclaw had been very nice to her, but now, as Neoma understood it, they were to be separated. She was alone again.
The man who she had waved to on the train before floated right past her. Her eyes followed his broom as she couldn't believe it was airborne. She couldn't help but giggle with glee. Those who got off the train did not go for their baggages, as that was being handled by others. So she followed those who looked to be of her age, towards where the man with the broom had flown. Looking ahead, it appeared to be vast lake.

Character Name: Neoma Abby Tsylence
Character Age: 11, First Year.
Wand: 10 in, Cherry Oak, Alexandrite
Pet (if any): None, as of yet
Family History (Go into detail, if possible):
Neoma is an only child, and grew up with her mother and father in Burmingham. They lived in a quaint little corner of town, and were very rarely bothered by the outside world. Neoma went to school like all the other kids her age. Initially shy and timid at first, once befriended Neoma is a person you'll never forget. For a long time, this was her life and everything was picturesque.
It wasn't until her family moved to London that everything changed. Neoma was placed into a different muggle school, and it was then that she began displaying signs of magic. She had grown to love the friends at her old school, and making new friends was really quite difficult for her. One day, during lunch hour, she willed herself to vanish, and so she did. She walked around for hours without being seen, that when someone nearly sat ontop of her in class, everyone was shocked because they hadn't seen her sitting at her desk before.
Now, Neoma is being sent off to a boarding school. As if the former experience wasn't bad enough...
Neoma is the first to inherit magical abilities in a long time. She isn't aware of this, but the last known witch or wizard in her bloodline is a distant aunt on her father's side. The aunt was a horrible witch who reveled in the dark arts. Because of this, Neoma's parents have done their best to repress their fear of what Neoma might become.
Physical Description:
Neoma has very short blonde hair with milk-chocolate coloured eyes. She has a heart shaped face, with dimples that appear when she smiles.
She's fairly shorter than most children her age. Not significantly so, but noticeably nonetheless. Being very petite, she's very cute. She normally clamps her hair behind her head, to keep it out of her face.
Personality Description: (Go into detail, if possible)
One's first impression of Neoma is that she possibly doesn't know how to speak. She is very shy when meeting people for the first time, and one can almost see her completely hide herself within her shell.
When she feels comfortable, and is coaxed out of her shell, she really does shine. She's very witty, very smart, and has a way of naturally stealing the spot light. Her friends back in Burmingham loved her for her quirkiness and her laugh.
Strengths:
Team Player Sports of all kinds Charms The ability to see the good in others
Weaknesses:
Shyness and fear. She can freeze up when faced with uncertainty. Divination Doesn't reach out to people.
If given the opportunity - would you take part in a Quidditch team, a Book Club, a Potions group or an Afternoon Tea party? Neoma hasn't been told very much of the wizarding world, having been brought up by Muggles all her life. She likes the idea of Quidditch very much, and is more than willing to attend any and all social gatherings... that is... if she knows anybody else whose going.
If you found a wandering Kneazle, what would you do? Wonder what a Kneazle was, and then maybe take it home and feed it.
What House would you like to be placed in (This is to be taken into consideration, though the Hat will ultimately make the final decision)? Neoma hasn't got a clue where she belongs. Though she missed the close-knit quality that she and her friends had in Burmingham, perhaps a house that promotes such a quality?
Why would you like to be in this student group and not the others?
I'd like to get to know this character, from the inside out. Grow with her as best I can.
Please give us an example RP:
Neoma looked around her as the children laughed and played, paying no attention to her. She didn't mind that, infact she preferred it that way. She didn't want to make friends, she had liked that ones she had had before.
She sat alone in her corner, knees pulled up to her chest, arms clutching them tightly. Her chin and nose buried between them so that all you can see were her soft hazel eyes glancing back and forth. She had wanted to stay home, her parents denied her of that, but why?
"I don't want to be here." Neoma said out loud, to herself.
She wouldn't realize for quite awhile afterwards, but it was in that moment that Neoma had turned herself invisible. Made possible by a girl who didn't want to be seen by the world, as someone who had felt she lost everything.

Neoma nodded hastily before scurrying off and up the stairs into the tower, her letter clenched tightly in her hands. She quickly found an owl and sent off her letter to her parents. She was not as quite when she exited the tower, hopping that perhaps the Professor had retired to the night so that Neoma could return to the Common Room without being heckled.

"Yes Ma'am. Thank y-you, Ma'a-am." Neoma began to slink around the Professor, closer to the side of the Owelry. She quickly turned and began her first few steps toward the tower that housed the school's owls.
She didn't know why she stopped, but she did. She painfully turned around and was still staring at the stone around her feet.
"Miss, could I ask. Could I ask why it is that you are up so late?" Her tone could be taken accusingly, but Neoma actually meant to inquire if there was any reason that professors were supposedly patrolling this late at night. Was there something dangerous roaming around... something that could... get them?

Neoma hesitated, but she took the hand of her Head of House, only to snatch it back close to her body once she was standing up on her own. She could tell it was the Divination Professor now, she didn't know why she didn't pick up the thick accent beforehand. Neoma stared at her feet, her letter in her hand behind her back.
"I--I'm sorry Professor. I'll go...go back to the Comman R-Room now." Neoma took a couple steps back as she tried to make a discreet getaway.

Neoma froze stiff and her eyes widened as her breath caught in her throat. The hooded figure spoke at her accusingly and Neoma was indeed very frightened. She couldn't find her voice, and she tripped on her own feet and fell to the ground.
She swallowed as she stared up at the figure, and still could not find words to say aloud. What would the woman do to her, she couldn't even remember why it was that she was out so late.

Skipping along, the small Hufflepuff girl was beaming with a sealed letter in hand. She skipped and hopped up the hill and stairs to the owlery, eager to send a thank you note to her parents.
On her way there, she saw an owl soaring into the horizon towards london. She was too busy staring at the bird that when she looked back at where she was going, her eyes widened as she was headed for a collision course with a hooded individual. She tried to put the breaks on but feared she run headlong into the person.

With all the confusion with the whizzing balls of glass, Neoma wasn't quite sure what had happened. What was for certain is that it probably shouldn't've, especially with the reactions from most of the staff.
Neoma wanted desperately to know if Nicholas was okay, but her House Prefects were shoving her out the of the Great Hall. She glanced back quickly, and could see the cold gaze of the Deputy. Had he no remorse for what he had done?

Neoma went from excited spectator, to nervous and worried child. Why weren't they listening to her? She glared in shock and awe as the Head of Slytherin completely ignored the Headmistress's request to end the duel. Her gaze darted from one combatant to the other.
She had been speechless at Orynn's ability to completely disolve into smoke. It seemed to do him little good however, seeing as he suffered some sort of injury. When he then turned the Knight's armor into stone, Neoma had winced at the loud cracking sound it had made. The Head of Gryffindor awas too preoccupied with his much too heavy armor to perhaps notice the actions of his opponent. Neoma's eyes widened as the balls of water levitated and turn into harmful looking spheres of glass.
"He's out to hurt him." She heard herself whisper aloud in disbelief.

Neoma had completely lost her voice. The spells performed before her very eyes were things she had always thought impossible before. Nicholas was lightning fast, and seemed all the more heightened. Neoma was very confused as to why the Slytherin Head of House had done nothing but watch, but saw that he had had a plan.
When Orynn turned invisible, Neoma was reminded of the time she had done the same thing, but by accident. It was at her muggle school, and she wished to be alone and unseen, little did she know at the time that she had done just that.
When the rain began to fall she ducked and put her hands over her head to prevent from getting wet, but quickly noticed that the rain only occured inside the domed section of the hall. She was dry as can be. She thought it very smart of the sword-wielding Professor to use such a tactic, and now it looked like the Slytherin Head of House was going to be forced to give up the duel.
Neoma was beside herself with anticipation and excitement.

Neoma had a large break between classes, and had joined up with the others in the great hall. A grand display of magic, such as a duel, was not something she wanted to miss. She filled into the great hall and stood right on the edge of the barrier which made no sound. She looked about for Stevie and Kel, but couldn't find them. She sighed, maybe they'd find her later.
Right now she stared intently at the Headmistress and the staff. Waiting for things to get started.

Neoma felt like she was dreaming, and could she really be blamed? She felt like she was a ghost who was floating a long observing, but was not actually a part of anything. For how could she? There were things she'd seen today that were impossible. Everything defied what her eyes told her, everything... except for her heart.
Deep down Neoma knew it was all real, and not a fairy tale. This was her new world, and she may as well make the best of it. As it was now however, she felt like she had enough questions in her to cause her body to implode. Right now, the best thing she thought for herself right now would be too have supper, and sleep. She'd rediscover her fascination with this world, tomorrow.
Someone who announced themselves as the Groundskeeper announced that all new students should follow. So, Neoma hopped out of her boat and followed the rest of the first years.

Neoma couldn't help but feel like something had fallen into the pit of her stomach. She ravaged her memory banks for some kind of clue to an ingredient as she wondered to the edge of the forest alone, still believe that it would be best if she stayed alone this class.
She still couldn't clearly recall anything, until she looked down. Daisies!
She bent down to the three or four daisies that were growing wildly. She was about to pick off the flower to place it into her sack but she suddenly stopped herself. She could have sworn that when Miss Pierce had mentioned Daisies as a possible ingredient, she had meant the flower and not the stem or root, but Neoma wasn't a hundred percent sure. These flowers were very thin and fragile though, so she was careful when she proceed to try to dig the plant out and get at it's roots as well.

Neoma hadn't been this close to the Forbidden forest. She walked up to Elsbeth and snatched up all the she'd needed. She tied the pouch around her waist, as it had a string intended for such. She put on a pair of gloves, and held her shears in her right hand.
Despite that some of her friends were in this class with her, she couldn't let herself be pinned to them all hours of the day. Sometimes it was exclusively class time, and Neoma had a feeling that she was going to enjoy this lesson.
She waited patiently for the next instructions.

Neoma took in her lesson on the way in which students were separated at this boarding school she was going to be attending. She thought it a bit strange, but still interesting to some extent. She thought that such a method would divide a school rather than unite it, but maybe that was the goal?
Neoma smiled, she was very content with this new experience of being on a train. She leaned back into her cushioned seat and got comfortable. Her head lolled over to the side, as she stared out the window. The magnificent forest stretching far and wide, the beautiful trees, the clear lakes and rivers, the man on a broom, the cloudless sky---
Neoma did a double take as she sad straight up and blinked. She blinked again and rubbed her eyes, bringing her face much closer to the compartment window. Her eyes widened as she saw the man riding a broom. She wanted to scream, she wanted to laugh and she wanted to holler. None of which happened. She just continued staring, unable to find her voice. Her right hand raised and waved slowly at the man with red hair.
