Full Name: Orynn Novium Novim
Age: 29
Wand: 9 3/4 in. Made from Yew and Stardust.
Looks: Orynn stands at just under 6ft, and has short white hair. His hair color seems unnatural on a man who appears so young. He has a defined face and a strong jaw, and his eyes are gray, which contrast very eerily with his hair. His hair is usually styled to spike in the front and forward.
His shoulders are broad. He is very slim and has a swimmer's build. His skin is warm and a very neutral color, as in he is not pale, but he's very far from being tanned either.
Orynn's attire changes according to the occasion. He can normally be found sporting a fitted black long sleeved turtle neck, with some nice dark trousers which float away from his leg and reach the ground. He's always wearing black shoes. A part from that, there are different accessories which he adorns, but they seem to change every time he's seen.
Pet: A spotted Snow Owl, named Crescent.
Personality: Orynn Novim is a very charismatic fellow. He is incredibly charming, and therefore easy to talk to, but Orynn will very rarely, if ever, go seeking conversation himself. If it were up to him, he'd be alone most of the day. He enjoys keeping to himself, which consequently allows him to maintain an air of mystery about him.
He is very driven in his work, and does all he can to deliver the best that he's capable of. He challenges his students, and those around him, not so much to see them fail, but to keep his own wits up to par at all times. Very rarely is Orynn ever caught off guard or surprised, and if he ever is he wouldn't hesitate at destroying the evidence.
Orynn can be very sly and manipulative with his words when he sees fit. He enjoys scheming, and is the type of man who plays big parts backstage, but is never seen by the audience.
History Orynn was a student at Hogwarts. He was sorted into Slytherin, and was perhaps the brightest boy in his class. His grades however, did not reflect this. Orynn was a boy who enjoyed his social surrounding more than he did his studies. He reveled in how easily people could be persuaded to believe what he wanted, and how each person reacted to different emotional stresses. In his early years, this was his greatest past time, a course which was unfortunately never offered at Hogwarts. As the years went on, Orynn concentrated more and more on his studies (those actually being taught) and managed to pick up his grades a great deal.
His parents are both pure blood, but his mother is deceased. She died in a muggle related incident, something to do with a what they called a "DUI." His Father is abroad, an adventurer of sorts. Orynn also had an older sister who attended Durmstrang. Their relationship was rather... strained. However, being that they went to different schools they rarely saw one another anyways. His sister, Vicera, is now working as a Criminal Psychologist. She had previously made a living as a kind of Historian, with a specialty in weaponry used throughout the ages. Used by both wizards and muggles.
Orynn was never raised around muggles, but he bears them no remorseful amount of ill will. Orynn does, however, judge individuals too harshly sometimes. Once you portray weakness before his eyes, Orynn will never see you as anything else.
After Hogwarts, Orynn immediately began to take specialized courses abroad. He learned the art of Legilimens, and Occlumens, through very respectful means. He also progressed in his natural talent to transfigure himself into smoke, and travel great distances while in this state. This skill specifically frightened many of those close to Orynn, seeing as the last wizard to possess such a skill was Thomas Riddle, The deceased Dark Lord.
He spent many of his years after Hogwarts abroad, so a lot of what he did remains a mystery. He traveled Europe, Egypt, Russia, India, and many other fascinating locations. In the end, he wound up right back to the place he had called home for 7 years of his youth. Orynn first began teaching at Hogwarts as the Ancient Runes Professor. That was three years ago, and he is now the Headmistress's Deputy, and Professor of Transfiguration.
Strengths and Weaknesses As mentioned before, Orynn does much better when he works 'backstage' on some grand plot. Nevertheless, he can hold his own when playing on the forefront. He is gifted at Transfiguration, Time Spells (and Charms), and is a skilled Occlumens and Legilimens.
Orynn is very quick and agile, but in a close-quarter duel with another wizard he runs out of options quickly. Orynn prefers to duel in wide open areas, where there is space to think, breathe and act. Orynn also has a very wide knowledge of Ancient Texts and Runes, but his worst subject by far is Potions. Not that he can't mix a perfect Polyjuice Potion, only that he can't be bothered.

Elsbeth's hand felt comfortable within his own. It confident, firm, but still soft and heavy. Orynn shook it while looking directly into her eyes. The half smile still plain on his face. His eyes smiling as well in that rare way that eyes sometimes do.
He heard the clambering of hooves outside the door, his ride had arrived. He retrieved his suitcase from where he had rested it before. As if to push him on already, his white owl came to perch itself on his shoulder, making a quick snatch at his master's face to demonstrate it's impatience.
He stopped just outside the door and turned back to look at Elsbeth once more.
"You are strong Elsbeth, of this you should have no doubt. Hogwarts is in good hands. My final piece of advice is that you listen to yourself more. The opinions and suggestions of friends and colleagues may be headed, but in the end it is your decision. You are Headmistress of Hogwarts, and you have the final say."
With that, he slid through the front doors of the castle. The doors shut and boomed the way they always did when announcing that someone had made their way out.

Orynn nodded, and for the first time in what might have been an extremely long time, a smile crossed his face. A genuine smile, the kind you have when you've been complimented and you're embarrassed and being modest. Just his lips though, his teeth were never shown. "My apologies." Orynn said with a slight undertone that suggested he was trying to funny by continuing the formalities.
A moment passed, as the former Deputy let Elsbeth's words wash over him. He then walked towards her and extended his arm out, holding open his hand to received hers. "Thank you." He said it as if it were long overdue.

Orynn didn't even bid adieu to the knight. Rude, and uncalled for... perhaps, neither of which Orynn cared for. Perhaps it was even unnecessary, as it was all but confirmed that their paths would cross again.
Orynn averted his attention to Elsbeth, his expression becoming a bit warmer. He obviously had not expected to be stopped on his way out the door. "Good day Headmistress." He welcomed her.

Orynn felt the poised needle make a stab at him. He shut his eyes and took a deep breath. He had made his peace with this place, an outburst would do nothing. There was no point in entertaining the knight, who was about as thickheaded as his armor. Orynn didn't need his trust, in fact he preferred it that way.
"I do not believe either matter to be of any of your concern. If you care so much about the former, you may ask her yourself." Orynn looked directly into the eyes of the night, as if to strike his point home. He didn't look as intimidating of course, he had no heavy sword, nor were his fingers stroking his wand. But Orynn had no need to attempt to strike fear into this man's soul, he todl himself it wouldn't be productive. Though he never even entertained the possibility that it may be because Orynn had no heart left.

"You can say that." Orynn responded to the man behind him. Orynn was dressed in one of his heavier cloaks, with a white scarf around his neck that made his hair stand out and his eyes fade away. He shut the Entrance door, and leaned on the stone wall right next to it, his suit case on the floor at his feat.
He blinked once or twice at the heavily armed man, a resisted the urge to make some snide remark. Burning bridges with the people here would serve nothing now. Especially now that he was leaving.

The echo of his booted feat sounded slightly throughout the castle. Coming down with a suitcase of some sort, and Crescent on his shoulder, the Depu--- former Deputy, made his way to the Entrance door of Hogwarts. Thought on this day, it would not be an Entrance way, today it was an exit only. He would not return for quite some time after crossing the threshold, if at all.
He pushed the door open a smidgen, and Crescent hopped off his arm and flapped it's wings. The owl would summon his mode of transport. His sister had arranged to arrive in their late father's carriage. She probably hovered above the winter clouds as to not be seen right now.
Orynn hoped that he would not be kept waiting for long, as he did not want to endure any... awkward farewell's. He had made his peace with this place, but he needed to make peace with another. That would require his full attention, which could not be done here. He was doing what was best for himself, his family name, and perhaps even all of wizard kind in the long run.

The Deputy was completely non-responsive to the approaching of Ms. Davinmir, and even after she backed off, all he did in response was right the password down. He had to record all the passwords, and then take the appropriate actions. Next, was the Ravenclaw house, which meant summoning another Professor. The Ravenclaw Common Room was by far the most interesting Common Room in Hogwarts. Creativity and intelligence were called for when it came to selecting a "password." "Lady Gray?" Orynn said out loud. When he spoke, he remembered that Minka was still in front of him. He sighed quietly, before raising his gaze and asking her. "Have you met the other Heads of Houses, Ma'am?" [This is continued in Password Collection]

Orynn blinked once, and then met the Professor's eyes. The two of them were locked in their gaze for a moment, but it didn't stop Orynn from speaking. Truth was, he appreciated Madame Davinmir's no nonsense attitude. Why make pleasantries when there was so much work to be done?
"You are correct Ma'am." He started, "As you know, each Common Room is protected by a password. As the Head of the loyal House of Hufflepuff, you have the right to choose the first password of the term."
Orynn finally broke the eye contact, as he looked down to his parchment and poised his quill in preparation to start writing as soon as the lady before him started speaking. He looked at her expectantly.

Orynn had been leaning on one of the great dining tables. The Great Hall was completely bare, and it was funny to thing that in no time at all it would be filled with gaiety and merriment. Something Orynn wasn't particularly looking forward to. He looked up at the Head of Hufflepuff House for a split second, before lowering his gaze again to his piece of parchment.
"Yes, I did." He stated bluntly as he pushed himself off the table and took a step or two towards the other Professor. He was about to speak again, and then stopped himself and resisting the urge to roll his eyes.
Orynn had wanted to get down to business right away, so that he can quickly move on to his other tasks and soon turn into his quarters for the evening. However, he thought that impoliteness was not something over-valued in a Deputy Headmaster. He looked at Minka from over his clipboard, before setting it down and resting in against his body.
"I bid you welcome Madame, to Hogwarts. I apologize for not taking the time to meet you before this, but I trust you've made yourself at home hmm?"

Orynn felt like someone had sped time on a global scale, and he just couldn't stop moving. Preparing for the new year demanded a lot from the Deputy Headmaster. Not that he was complaining or finding it difficult, but he did notice at some point that he would find himself heading over to do something he had already done earlier that day.
Currently, he had just parted ways with the Bloody Baron. As Head of Slytherin House, he was responsible for creating the first Common Room Password of the year. As Deputy Headmaster, it was his responsibility to make sure the other Heads of Houses did the same.
Orynn had on a fitted light gray long-sleeved shirt on, with no collar which was what the Professor normally sported. He had on a pair of regular black slacks, and his wand was within the sleeved of his arm.
As he walked away from the Dungeons, through a secret passageway and up the Grand Staircase, he held in his hands a clip board. With a quill in hand harsh scratching can be heard as he jotted more things to do on the paper. Without lifting the quill from the paper, he summoned out loud; "Fat Friar."
All that could be heard for a time were the steps of his feet against stone as Orynn climbed the steps, and the scratching of his sharp quill against parchment. Then, from his immediate left, as he was turning to climb the next flight of stairs; "Yes, Sir Deputy?"
The Ghost of Hufflepuff house merited his name in every manner, which was easy for anybody to determine. He was balding, in attire suitable for a monk, had a jaw that looked to be over stretched in it's afterlife. Still, Orynn never lifted his gaze from his writing.
"Where was it that you saw Madame Davinmir?"
"Duuh..." the ghost responded. "...I believe I saw her unpacking Sir. Though, I may have seen her heading towards the Library. I cannot say that I--"
"Please go fetch her and tell her to meet me in the Great Hall." Orynn had rudely interrupted.
Orynn whisked by the ghost, who had stopped moving and floated in place. Orynn walked briskly to the great heavy doors of the Great Hall, which opened freely for him with a wave of his arm. Orynn then entered.
Still obviously hurt, and confused as to where to start looking, the Hufflepuff ghost floated higher up the Enchanted Staircase.
"Oh Madame Davinmir! Mrs. Davinmir, where are youuuu." he called out for her. Out of all the ghosts, it was undeniable that the Fat Friar acted mostly like he was ripped out of a muggle cartoon show.
