Inactive accounts will not be deleted, but instead your character's profile will be moved to an invisible board. If you are returning to us, and would like to use the same character and get back into the swing of things, simply ask one of the mods and we'll be happy to move it back.

Approved. Welcome to the Secret of Magic.
Classes are beginning up again, after the Winter Vacations. It would be natural to assume, I think, that your character should be treated as if she were around all year, and didn't just show up outta nowhere mid-year. If you had something else in mind, please let me know and we'll discuss it.
Please register for classes asap. I'm going to list you as a fourth year student now, thanks for joining us and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

"Yes, I am." Orynn said gently. He gave a small and kind smile. Her held his hands together behind his back as he looked about the room a bit.
"I can't imagine I am the first to arrive, as requested."

The Deputy sighed once more, as he heard voices coming from inside the Hospital room. Of course Althea would be doing her duty, hoping for something otherwise was a foolish wish on his part. Stomping it out of his mind, he slowed his walking pace 'til he reached the threshold. He poked his head in, and saw the Doctor tending to a student.
He sighed again, and decided that trying to run away would just be profoundly dumb right now. He felt bad interrupting her in her work, but to postpone this check-up longer would probably annoy her further. He stepped into the room and cleared his throat to make his presence felt.

Orynn jogged up the steps of the enchanted staircase. He had seen the notice a number of days ago, posted upon the Staff Room door. He had procrastinated the health visit for a number of days now, and finally succumbed to his responsibility.
He was approaching the Hospital wing. He wondered to himself, maybe the Doctor wasn't even in as of yet.

Orynn looked up and about, into the eyes of the doctor. He nervously licked his lips, and he drummed his fingers on the handle of his cane. Apparently trying to choose his words carefully.
"It--It's nothing. Thank you for your time, Doctor." He quickly nodded in her direction and he made his way out the door.

Orynn stood, barely paying any head to the red-headed hot-headed boy of a man. If Orynn hadn't known any better, he'd claimed he'd just witnessed a temper tantrum.
Then something happened that very few ever witnessed. It was a shame there were so few to see, as it very rarely happened and was even rarer when in sight. Orynn smiled.
He had gotten up and walked a step or two with his cane, his free arm raised up to act as a perch for his snow-spotted owl. He looked admiringly at his pet.
"Hello Crescent." He said. The bird looking at him and hooting. It shook itself, flapping it's wings to stretch, before it began to walk sideways up the Deputy's arm. Orynn kept looking at it, still smiling, it was almost as if he forgot where he was. When Crescent reached his shoulder, he reached out and untied a piece of parchment that was tied to his talon.
He held it in front of him, and unrolled the relatively small piece of paper. His eyes scanning it closely. His smile vanished as if stolen from his, and his expression changed to one of a man who received extremely ill news. His brows furrowed, as he took out his wand. He flipped the page over and pointed his wand at it. A small red spark flashed at it's tip, but that was all. Having finished writing his reply, Orynn rolled the parchment back the way it had been, and tied it around the same talon of his owl with the same chord.
Looking much more spiteful, Orynn held out the handle of his cane for Crescent to step upon, which he did obediently. Orynn then limped over to the window, lifting his cane high.
"Away." He said commandingly, the owl hooted and flew out the window.
He brought the cane down with a loud thud, which startled the Ravenclaw student in the room. Orynn didn't notice, he seemed lost in his thoughts at the moment, staring at the ground.

"It has." Orynn stated plainly as he lowered his pants back down over his leg. He then paused, realizing that, given recent events, he should probably not end his statement there. "Many thanks." He said to Althea, a look of 'oops' on his face.
Orynn was about to drown himself into thoughts that he had experienced the day of the duel, but was interrupted by a familiar rhythm of tapping. Orynn would recognize that sound anyway, and he slowly peered up at a high window, and so a familiar fowl starring down at him. Crescent was always persistent, and very impatient, especially when he had something to deliver to his master. The deputy did not smile at this, and his features seemed to harden, as if frustrated and embarrassed.
"My apologies Doctor, may I let him in?" His tone was edged with annoyance, as he raised his cane to indicate the window and the bird who was now tapping harder and faster. As if it thought it hadn't been noticed already.

"Hmph." Orynn snickered, as the corner of his mouth curled towards the ceiling.
For someone who thinks highly of respect, evidently, he does not think the same towards his superiors. Orynn turned around to look to Althea, who had finished her gesturing. Not alone in that school of thought I'd think.
He thought that there would be no good reason to dabble here any longer than required. He used his cane as support to walk over to one of the medical beds, on the opposite end of the curtained-in student. Orynn plopped down on the bed, and sung his injured knee over on the the mattress. Making it easier for the doctor to examine it.
