Course Outline
Divination: An Overview
Professor: Madame Minka Davinmir, HOH Hufflepuff
Office: 6th floor, North Tower, below the classroom.
3rd and 4th year
Timeslot: Sunday- Thursday (Real Time)
Duration: 2.5 Hours
This course will provide an overview of the art of divination and will cover the differences between prophecy and divination and explore the different methods of catching glimpses into one’s future. By the end of the course students should be able to understand the symbolism of visions and some basic methods of prediction.

A deck of tarot cards
¼ pound of tea leaves
¼ pound of coffee beans
A set of runes in a velvet pouch
Candles (at least 2)
A bowl

One box of Frankincense
Important: Be sure to acquire materials that you feel the most comfortable with.

Course Policies
Lateness will not be tolerated, save for severe illness, injury or uncontrollable circumstances.
Absences will not be tolerated, save for severe illness, injury, or uncontrollable circumstances.
Participation is to be expected.
Homework must be handed in at the beginning of class.
Missing exams will result in a failing grade, save for illness, injury or uncontrollable circumstances, then a make-up exam will be given.
Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated. A failing grade for the course will be given with possible expulsion from the course.

15% - Participation
