Minka entered the classroom followed by Ekkehart her red marten. He climbed onto the stool curling up on the small pillow. She leaned back onto the edge of the desk, dropping off a rolled up map of some kind onto the surface. She wasted no time in getting the classes's attention. Scanning the group of students for the ones who might be missing.
"Good day class. I hope we are all ready to move onto the next section in the course. Last week we reviewed tarot cards, this week we will be looking at astrology in depth... Last year you should have learned the basics of how to create an astrological chart, and hopefully had plotted your own.
Let's see just how much you remember. About how long ago as the art of astrology developed and by whom?"
She posed the question to the class, hoping her students were awake enough to participate in a discussion.

Isabelle was sitting huddled with her two best friends, Sera and Mary. Divination was one of their favorite classes, though they were not decided on how they felt about the new teacher.
At the teacher's question, they put their heads together and started whispering.
"Wait wait wait. I know that.", Isabelle said, tapping her nose thoughfully.
"Mmm, wasn't it the Indians?", Mary said, rubbing her quill's feather on the edge of her face.
"No no, I think it was the Babylonians.", Sera said, flipping through her notebook.
"Which came first? I think it was the Babylonians, a couple millenias B.C..."
"I still think it's the Indians."
The girls were too busy bickering to adress the professor.

[pink][Uhg. I can't be bothered to run classes. They aren't fun. Instead I will be posting a short class description and a short list of questions at the beginning of the week on a divination topic and the first person to PM me with the correct answers will be awarded house points. Sorry for the inconvenience. If people no longer want to play my class, I won't be insulted.][/pink]
[yellow]"That's correct Miss Wesker. 5 points for Ravenclaw." [/yellow]
The class continued on about astrology and how to make complicated star charts and how the planets and stars play a big part in the art that is divination. She goes on to describe how centaurs value this type of divination above all else.
Minka, isn't a very interesting teacher when it comes to explaining things in class, but she seems to be very generous with the house points, since she doesn't seem to find that they hold much meaning... She does enjoy the gasps she gets of of students when she takes them away for the slightest misdemeanors. She always seems to smirk when she does get such a reaction. She shows no favoritism to anyone house.
