Aesir stood outside at the Quidditch pitch, his head nodding as he hummed loudly to a song only he could hear, occassionaly bursting into song as went through, organizing the brooms.
"I'm burning through the skies, Yeah! Two hundred degrees, that's why they call me Mister Fahrenheit. I'm trav'ling at the speed of light! I wanna make a supersonic man of you!"
He smiled as he sang the famous Queen song, his goggles still plopped upon his head, his gloved hands dexterously mimmicking the guitar to the song on his broom with remarkable accuracy. He wore a white tanktop along with dogtags that hung around his neck, and an old and faded brown leather aviator's jacket.
He watched the students coming, keeping the music confined to his head as he saw them, picking up his list of students. He began to write a few of them down, checking the list.
Alright, Aesir. Let's try this again. Maybe today they'll manage not to get the broom in the crotch.
He sighed inwardly.
Actually, it'd be kinda funny to see that again. one can only hope.
He smiled, hoping against hope.

Neoma walked briskly outside towards the Quidditch Pitch. It was a beautiful day and Neoma was smiling in appreciation to the good weather. Although not the class she was excelling in most, she certainly did like that Flying took place outside. But then she wondered, what would they do come Winter?
She was still trying to solve the problem in her mind when she arrived at the pitch, where the Instructor already was along with a couple of student. She absentmindedly bit her nails as she continued to ponder.

Stevie came walking up to the pitch, hoping that he wasn't late. It didn't seem like he was. Good... Veeery good. He stopped next to Neoma. "Hi!" He said, somewhat quietly. Of course, he wasn't about to talk when class starts, but he had time before it started now, so why not?

Kel ran up to the pitch, glad she wasn't late like last time. "Hi Stevie! Hello Neoma! Good morning, professor!" Kel greeted, smiling happily. It was a beautiful morning, and Kel was happy to be alive. She spun around in a circle, arms out, closing her eyes and basking in the September sunshine, light summer robes floating around her, revealing khaki capris and a sunflower-yellow t-shirt with the Hufflepuff badger embroidered on it in jet-black thread.

Aesir waved hello to the other students as they arrived and stopped moving when Kel bounded into the field, bouncing with glee and so happy Aesir was tempted to lower his goggles, it hurt to watch.
And that's why eleven year olds should never be on drugs.
He steadily began to sort some of the brooms as he looked to the group of gathering first years. "Alright, Groundlings, get yer brooms one at a time please. No stampedin', will ye? Today, we're gonna practice the take-off for the slow pokes an' practice hoverin'."

"Hey there!" Neoma smiled delightfully and her friends, waving as they came close by. She had only spent a short time at Hogwarts but was already thoroughly enjoying herself.
She perked up attentively, getting a broom without any hustling this time. She moved back to where she had been standing and looked to the instructor for... well... further intructions.

"Hi!" Stevie replied to Keladry, waving as he did so. He walked over and got the broom he had last time, it had a few distinguishing features. He thought it would be better if he get his same broom, maybe these brooms had somewhat of a mind of their own. Maybe he'd be... Somewhat 'registered'. He stood where he was previously, broom in hand the correct way. Now, it came naturally to him how to hold a broom. That would always be good.

Aesir looked at the students now holding their brooms.
"Place them on the ground, and call them to you. Your warm up for the day." he said sharply as he looked at each of the students. When he got to Stevie, he gave the boy a wink.
Aesir looked to the young boy who had gotten nailed in between the legs with he broom last class.
Come on, crotch shot!

Stevie almost grinned knowingly at Aesir, but a slight nod, barely noticeable, gave notice to him. He set his broom down.
"Up!" It flew right in his hands, he knew the right tone of voice for it. He grinned.
I'm on FIRE! he thought, grin plastered on his face.

Kel grabbed a broom, then put it on the ground next to her. She gathered her power, using her stubbornness and used her most commanding tone, putting all her willpower into it as she commanded it: "Up!" The broom sprang neatly into her hand. Kel smiled at it, wondering if there was any such thing as positive reinforcement for brooms.

Neoma placed her broom on the ground per Aesir's instruction. She placed her open palm above it. "Up?" She said unsruedly. Nothing happened.
Frustrated, she hit ground hard with her right foot. At the same time saying loudly "Up!" The broom flew up to her hand. She smiled brightly in reaction to her small success.

Kel looked around after she had succeeded. Most of the students were standing triumphantly with their brooms in their hands, though Neoma didn't seem to be having so much luck. As Kel watched, she got frustrated with her broom and stomped the ground while telling it angrily "Up!" Kel smiled and looked around at the other students. One boy had falteringly said "Up. . . ?" while seeming to pat the air with his hand and his broom had twitched so violently that it had whacked him across his shins hard enough that the whole class heard the loud "Crack!" it made as it connected with his spindly legs, toppling him over on the mistreated broom.

Aesir watched the students summoning the broom into their hand. A good number of them had grasped the concept and managed to acquire the brooms without a problem. Some were still struggling, and one poor boy got the broom smacked across the shins.
Aesir winced.
It's no crotch shot, but, you take what you can get. Let's get to work MacLeod.
Helping the boy up from the ground, he gave scolding looks to the students who had begun to laugh at the boy.
"Oi. Keep them laughs ter yerself unless ye'd like to ter have yer brooms stuck someplace that ain't in the least bit comfortable. Understand?" he said sternly.
One boy kept giggling.
"You, yer running laps. All class. Leave yer broom where tis and run the perimeter of the pitch, and keep doin' it till I say so. Ye stop movin', I'll be sure ter stuck ye on the end of me broom and teach ye sky divin' lessons. Start joggin'!"
For one moment, he looked at Aesir with a stare of incredulity. Aesir's wilting stare was all the boy needed to confirm he was serious.
It was going to be a long class.
Once the boy began to jog, Aesir looked around the gathered students. "Anyone else thought that was funny? No? Good. Now, standard take offs and practice yer balance and yer hoverin'. Don't try ter compensate should yer broom start tiltin': all ye need ter do is use yer knees and hands to keep her steady. Lean forward, lean low and hands outstretched and holdin the yoke like I told ye. Spread the weight out as much as ye can so ye don't dip. Should ye think you'll fall, don't try to break it with your feet or hands; that'll cause ye te break something, but not yer fall. Just hold on ter the broom."
He looked among the students once more before hopping up onto his own broom. "Should ye be able ter keep yer balance and ye think ye might want ter dare somethin' different, try turnin. In place. Not moving around and banking, but turnin' left and right. We'll see how far ye get today before we do anythin' else."
(( OOC: I'm very sorry for the lack of activity as Aesir in this class. School has been getting more intense with it being the end of the semester, and I've just started work. I'll do my best to make the other classes more interesting and interactive ))

Stevie didn't laugh at the boy, he didn't normally laugh at people's misfortune unless they were laughing, too.
He quickly got on the broom, and did as Aesir said, hanging in the air. He was still as a statue, and nothing was moving at all. He looked to have not much trouble balancing. Truth was, he wasn't. He didn't start turning until he thought he was in the best position he could be in, and he started. Slowly. Over time, he increased the speed, but not much. Maybe at the end of class he could spin fast, in place. He knew he'd have fun with that, but for now, he was going at a good pace.

Neoma smiled when the young lad had fallen. Moreso because she couldn't help it than because she thought it was funny. She stopped immediately when told to. She didn't feel the least bit bad abouit the punishment that was handed out to the other lad. He was a Slytherin after all, and it seemed like all students under that banner had a certain mean streak about them.
Neoma saddled her broom like she had been told to. She gulped, hard, and her palms were all sweaty as the grasped the yoke of her broom like she had been shown last class. She inhaled and exhaled deeply, and shoved herself from the ground, keeping her eyes shut tight. Her face contorted in fear and shock.
The pain she expected to feel from crashing back to the ground never came, she cracked open her eyes. She was in the air on her broom, hovering on the spot. She began to laugh uncontrollably, panicking in the way some people do when they get excited. She swallowed again, trying to calm herself down. Taking in deep breaths.
