The Plot
The year is 1959, and the world is teetering on the brink of disaster.
The muggle world is changing, in ways few could have imagined, and these changes are taking a toll on the Wizarding world.
The muggles are living in fear of yet another war as politics change, but so are the wizards. Hogwarts is open and functional, and under the control of the Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore.
The Ministry of Magic is under the control of the Minister for Magic and his second-in-command, Katelyn Arianna Griffith. The Auror Office is also under her control. Most of the aurors are merely loyal to the Ministry, but some are more suspicious. These aurors suspect the existence of a rebel uprising. These aurors will one day be known as the Order of the Phoenix.
Dark wizards from all across Europe have begun to gather. They are massing their forces, gathering behind one who calls himself Lord Voldemort. Few have ever met him, and only one speaks to him on a regular basis – his second in command, Michael Rhys Griffith.
The general Wizarding public is oblivious to the existence of the Death Eaters, but they can sense a feeling of tension, a feeling of danger and rebellion on the rise. For the time being, they live in peace, but the worried feelings within them linger, as they wait on the edge of yet another war.
The Ministry and the Aurors are doing whatever they can to prevent an uprising of the rebels. But there is a traitor in their midst. A traitor who sells out Ministry secrets to Michael Griffith and the Death Eaters. Katelyn Griffith is doing her best to keep the Wizarding world at peace, and keep the people calm and united while still sending her Aurors to track down the rebels. Michael Griffith is working hard to recruit new members to his master’s cause, while still keeping the group’s existence out of the media.
These are the Shadowed Years, the times that have been forgotten. What becomes of this time is up to us.
