It was the morning of Christmas in the Great Hall. Since the majority of the students were spending the holiday break back at home with their family, the remaining students tended to all sit together on the same table in the middle, instead of the usual house tables.
Isabelle was uncharacteristically alone that morning, since her two best friends were with their families. Her parents had decided to spend the holidays on a romantic trip, letting their daugthers experience christmas at Hogwarts. Isabelle was still a little bitter about it.
She slowly sipped a glass of pumpkin juice, waiting for her sister to arrive before having a good breakfast. She planned to skip lunch, since there would be a great feast that night for Christmas.

Elsbeth was full of cheer this Christmas morning, happy that it was oliday time, and festivity was in the air.
She smiled at the students and staff seated around her, waiting for the arrival of the last few stragglers.
Breakfast woldn't be a big production, but there would be festve food, and maybe some Christmas carols as well.
The Hall was decorated beutifully, with big trees on either end, sparkling with tinsel and lights. Wreaths hung on the walls, and chamed snow covered most o the floor.
There was one long table for everyone to sit at, no House distinctions for anyone.

Daviv was at the staff table, fairly bored. He had only gotten a few Christmas presents, most of which were books.
He didn't bring a book, though, because someone was bound to give a speech. Or maybe there would be Christmas carols. He wasn't a good singer, so he'd just sit quietly and applaud.

Stevie snuck in, but was probably easily spotted. He didn't know he was going to be late, but he took a small hint in the fact that nobody was in the halls.
He quickly took a seat, playing it off as though he was here the whole time.

Lilianne walked in with Stevie, and sat between him and her sister, whom she hugged.
"Merry Christmas, Isabelle!"

"Yeah!" Stevie said, with a grin.
"Although I don't even know you."

Neoma walked in, gleeful as ever. She looked around with her eyes until she spotted Stevie. She waved her arms in the air a bit wildly, before skipping towards her friend.

Arcturus wandered into the Great Hall, rubbing sleep from his eyes. He liked to sleep, especially when he got a choice to sleep. But, hey. Today was Christmas. So, he got up at the insanely early time of 10:12 and went to eat Christmas breakfast.
He plunked himself down, without thinking, on a bench next to a sixth-year Ravenclaw whom he had talked with, or argued with, in Ancient Runes. He gave a half-heartedly annoyed glance at her, just because it was Christmas didn't mean he couldn't be at least a little annoyed at people, before proceeding to stuff his face with cinnamon rolls, and other delectable holiday treats.

Stevie waved at Neoma, motioning for her to sit next to him.
"Hi! Merry Christmas!" He said, taking out the book. He looked it over for a bit, then decided to save it for later. Even if the later would be one minute. He simply left his blank, blue-violet covered book on his lap, for now.

Isabelle gave Stevie a friendly wink as she was hugging her sister, leaving the introductions for later as she saw what looked like another friend of his coming towards them. She chatted with her sister a bit about the gifts they had received while the table finished filling up, barely granting Arcturus a glimpse as he sat to her other side.
She was still bitter about the kid getting her into trouble in Ancient Runes, or so she had concluded in her own logic.
"So, who's your boyfriend there?" She asked, offering Stevie a mischievious grin.

"Me? Stevie." He replied, not paying attention to the boyfriend aspect of the question.

"He's not my boyfriend!" Came the expected, 11 year old defensive reaction. "He's just in my year. And house. That's my sister Isabelle, Stevie. She's a Ravenclaw."
Lilianne started filling her plate with assorted foods. "You said we'd spend the day together, Isa... What did you want to do?"

As would be expected from Stevie, he begun picking what would be the most sugary things. He's going to be hyped up after this... Maybe there will even be a worm encore. Although, the person who had the dance off with Stevie didn't seem to be here.

Isabelle served herself as she went on.
"Well, I though we could go by the lake. It's a nice day out, and I think Henson and Dinsdale would enjoy a bit of time together in the snow. I'll have a surprise for you, too!"

"Can I come?" Stevie asked Isabelle, thinking she was the head of the whole thing. He hadn't heard much from Neoma, but he hoped she'd come along as well.
