Aesir eagerly leaned forward.
"I swear Doc, this thing was big. An' whatever twas, didn't look like no slow movin' herbivore. It was big. Pretty darn big. I'd say the size of maybe a mountain lion or some other big feline. Had these weird...things...on it's back too, an...from the height an distance I was at, it looked...deformed. It's shoulders an' back was all misshapen an'...it's eyes glowed...like...like a kinda glow-in-the-dark green and it sounded in pain..."Aesir actually shook himself out of the chill and goosebumps that run up his spine. "The thing bolted off into the woods not too long after I spotted it. I'm sorry, but it creeped the hell right out of me. I flew straight away, thinkin' the thing was gonna run back towards me and try ter eat me face or somethin'. I'm thinkin' o' talkin ter Shelly, maybe yer husband bout it. I was contemplatin' going ter check out where I saw it this morning, but I thought better of it. Thought I'd consult the experts. Then again, I was really drunk. So I'm just hopin', ye know..."

Syhinad wanders in from somewhere, and has, actually one or two twigs caught on his cloak, and a bit of a 'oh my head hurts' sort of look. He seems rather allright though still, despite his bit of a swagger and yawn.
He finally finds the instructors seats, pulling himself up with a bit of an effort before waving his wand. He seems to nod somewhat satisfied and he moves over down the table, looking for an empty seat, the smells of the food making him have an audible stomach growl.
"Oh my... sorry bout that."
He takes a seat beside Aesir.
"Wild night there boss.. wasn't it?"
He smiles to Althea.
"Hello Althea, how are you this fine and mighty early morning.."

"Ok, you should definitely tell the headmistress... Even if it turns out to be a bunny rabbit, the point is we're making sure that the kids are and staff are safe... that things sounds scary- In pain? Hun... This is probably a job for Shelly. She's the vet." She smirked. "Good morning, Syhinad. You look chipper and hungover... Another night of too many rounds, I see. I will kick your butts if you two flew home afterwards... It's not a good example for the kids." She pointed to an Article in the London Times. 2 killed in drunk driving related crash. "Point and case." [MORAL ALERT! ]

Oh good gracious me no, not a lot of drinking, in fact none at all, I was actually practicing a few tricks near the pitch late in the evening, and plum tuckered myself right into exhaustion, so...well, I decided to have a rest under the tree, and lo and behold..here I am, a bit stiff in the joints and a bit of a head ache as it got a little cooler out there than i'm normally used to sleeping in."
He laughed a little, pulling hearty chunks of food onto his plate.
"I'd asked my good friend Aseir about the 'wild night' because well look, he looks like he got dragged through a flobberworm's house heel up and head down while his face met due with the mud. And that's a compliment."
He said so more in a joking manner to his friend, and jokingly punched him on the arm.
"Seriously though, you look like you got up on the wrong side of the bed...everything alright?"

Elsbeth was seated in the middle of the staff table at her usual spot. She merely ate her food and stayed out of any serious conversations that morning. It had been a long night doing Headmistress things, and she was in no mood to babble away about frivolities.
[OOC: Elsbeth's around, but I didn't want to start her in something I couldn't finish.]

Aesir listened to all of Syhinad's babbling with a quirked eyebrow, the expression clearly reading 'Oh really?'. When asked about what was going on, he looked furtively about before looking to Syhinad.
"I think there's some sort of monster in the Forbidden Forest...it came out of the forest las night. I saw it Syhinad, it was a beast, and it didn't look friendly. I think that kids could be in danger, should I not have been hallucinatin'."

"Weird, hopefully it was just side effects from too little oxygen and too much alcohol. But maybe you should tell the headmistress.. if there's something wrong with the charms around the school grounds I should have a look at them."

She nodded at Shyinad's comment, "That's a good idea, together we should be able to figure this little mystery out..."
She turned the page of the London Times, and continued to read the paper. Vincent pined for the comics section, despite him not being able to read yet. She extracted the page and flattened it out in front of her son.
Edward who had lost interest in eating his cereal, began to try to throw the morsels at his father.
Isabelle was quiet and continued to eat.
