Family History: Alora Edith Jannings was born to Roxanne and Austin Jannings. Before the birth of their only daughter, Roxanne had obviously told Austin she was a witch. However, Austin didn't believe such a thing until she showed him. Hoping his daughter wouldn't become 'one of them', he was releaved when she came out what seemed to be normal.
Living in a small town in the East of England, Alora went about her day to day life as a five year old. Go to school, come home, eat, watch a bit of TV and then off to bed. A little way into her first year at a new school, her parents recieved a strange call saying that Alora broken the Wendy House without physically doing anything.
Of course, her mother had suspicions that she was becoming a witch, her father wouldn't have any of it. He would tell Roxanne not to even think about it, Alora was no going to become like her mother.
After a while, more of these incidents happened. A table was broken, stones were flying without support around the playground, even another child was lifted into the air and floated there. It was unexplained. Three years past, and finally they took their daughter out of the schooling system, and began home schooling her.
On her eleventh birthday, it was explained via a letter that flew through her bedroom window. Her mother, of course, knew exactly what it was, and was ecstatic. Her father, on the other hand, decided to forbid her from going to Hogwarts.
After a lot of arguments, and her father leaving home, it was just her and her mother left to face this news together. However, Austin insisted on taking her to and from the station, Alora never found out why, but she just went along with it.
Time passed quickly, and before she knew it, she was on the Hogwarts Express. Finding some more first years pretty quickly, she hit it off with them right away. She got told stories about the Houses, Quidditch and the Sorting Hat. After being told story after story, she became nervous about the Sorting Hat. Alora already knew she did not want to be in Slytherin, but what if the hat thought that it would suit her best?
Years past, and in the sixth year the rules Alora decided to follow just didn't seem worth it anymore. She began to backchat, go into forbidden places and get detention after detention. It really wasn't like her, but her friends stuck by her and she went on how she was.
Just before her O.W.Ls Alora realised she was going to fail ever subject if she didn't knuckle down and study. Going back to her old 'following the rules' ways, she passed her O.W.Ls, which pleased her mother and the staff.
Physical Description:Cut in choppy layers, Alora's hair falls to just a little bit past her shoulders, always completely flat in that annoying way that doesn't even require a hair straightener. She learned at a young age that it was an absolutely hopeless case and never really bothered with it from that point on. From about the age of four her mother always used to tie it up, either complaining it needed to be cut shorter or why couldn't Alora do all this herself. Hogwarts changed that, being away from her mothers grip, Alora decided this was a time for change, and for once she could control those long dark locks of hers. At the present, she has gone for the very long fringe, that basically means you can't see a blooming thing. 'Cause of this, there is never any chance of seeing her eyes, which to her was a bonus because they were a painfully boring shade of blue.
Alora hates being your average looking girl, she has the average height and weight, boring eye colour and naturally normal hair. However, there is one thing about her that makes her different. Summer time is usually a time for family and fun, right? Well, in Alora's household its far from it. When one of your parents don't approve of Hogwarts, what can you do? In Alora's case, you make perfume- on strictly muggle terms of course. That is right, she makes her own scent. Usually a mix of freshly cut flowers and honey, doesn't sound like much but wait till you smell it.
Personality Description:Alora is a fairly simple girl, growing up in a small house in England does take its toll on a person. Usually, she is pretty upbeat and hyper around friends, but she is one of those people who can change their personality when they don't know people. Alora isn't very good at meeting new people, probably the most ethical reason for her shyness around unknown people.
Another thing about our lovely Alora is that she is trustworthy, lloyal and caring. These are always the qualities she has taken pride in along with her honesty, and always welcomes people who need to ask or tell her something. She hopes she is a reliable person who can keep a secret, however, sometimes secrets do need to be told.
One more thing, she always sees the best in people and has a bash at becoming their friend. Plus she lives for fun, and you can't have fun without friends.

If given the opportunity - would you take part in a Quidditch team, a Book Club, a Potions group or an Afternoon Tea party? Hard decision, Quidditch is THE sport to be in, but Potions is her best subject. Having to choose, Quidditch all the way.
If you found a wandering Kneazle, what would you do? Obviously take it in. Alora is a kind hearted person.
What House would you like to be placed in (This is to be taken into consideration, though the Hat will ultimately make the final decision)? Ravenclaw or Gryffindor, hard decision really, both such wonderful houses.
Why would you like to be in this student group and not the others? Well, for Gryffindor Alora has the brave heart and daring attitudes towards things. For Ravenclaw, she is never tired of learning and has the steady mind. There isn’t any reason why she may not belong in Hufflepuff, she would just prefer one of the others. But Slytherin, many many reasons not to be in there. Alora will not give up, but she will not resolve in using hexes or charms in order to get to her goal.
Please give us an example RP: Finally, back to Hogwarts. Arriving at the train station was a breeze, not a lot of traffic but a very awkward journey as it was every year. Having one parent who openly hated Hogwarts was hard, but having to travel with him to the station was worse. Sitting in the front seat of the car, Alora wondered whether to ask how he was going to say goodbye to her, if he was actually going to come into the station or just sit in the car as he had done the other six years. However, she decided against it as she already knew what the answer was going to be, and it would be a pointless question.
Coming to a halt, she turned to her father and muttered "Well, bye dad" before quickly giving him a kiss on the cheek and getting out of the car to get her trunk out. Surprisingly, he actually got out and helped. "Well this is a first" Alora thought as she watched her dad heave her heavy load. Without thinking, she gave him a hug and said "It's alright, I can go from here." Pulling away, she gave him a huge grin before taking hold of the trunk and pulling it awkwardly into the station.
It was more of a sprint, rather than a jog. For all the years Alora had been at Hogwarts, she was too excited to get onto the platform to just merely jog through the pillar, always a sprint.
Summer had gone so slowly, the temptation to use magic was getting increasingly high, but it was restrained-thank goodness.
Alora made her way, this time more subtly, towards the train. She had no one to wave her off, but with the nice thought that her father may actually come to terms with Hogwarts, she knew this was going to be a great year.
