BIO
Elsbeth Pierce is a pureblooded witch, whose family originates from Ireland, a few generations back. Her great–great-great grandmother, from her father’s side, was a metamorphmagus. However, the metamorphmagus gene waned in the next few generations, leaving Elsbeth merely with the ability to change her hair-colour and length on a whim, and nothing else.
Elsbeth grew up in a suberb of southern England, for the first few years of her life. During the second war with Voldemort, when Elsbeth was a wee gal of five, her family fled the country and settled in France. Her parents did not agree with the ideals of most of the pureblooded families in Britain and felt it necessary to protect them from any unnecessary harm that could befall them and their only daughter.
At the age of eleven, as most magical children do, Elsbeth received a letter of admission to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, but her parents declined the invitation due to their prevalent fear that not all was well in that Wizarding area of the world. Her paranoid parents sent her off to Beauxbatons, instead, and that is where she was educated in the art of foolish wand waving, Potion concocting and French.
Elsbeth’s schooldays were that of great learning and wonderful friendships. Her best classes were Potions, Flying, and French – And, subsequently, it would be in Potions that she would later on pursue a career.
At graduation, Elsbeth’s Potions Professor, who was the greatest Potions Mistress of the French region, practically begged her to stay on under her tutelage to one day become even greater than she had ever been. She saw much promise in the young woman, and this hope was not misplaced.
She dated a bit after her graduation, but those relationships did not last; the men were not what she was looking for.
By the age of twenty-two, Elsbeth had surpassed any expectation she had had for herself. She received remarkable results in her many Potions examinations and an “Exceeds Expectations” in her Potion Professor Tests. She began teaching at Beauxbatons, and tutoring Hogwarts students on the side (on Sundays).
At the age of twenty-three, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry took her on as the Potions Professor. Halfway through the year, she was given the job of Deputy Headmistress, due to the sudden retiring of the current wizard employed in that position.
Now, at the age of twenty-five, Elsbeth has moved on to become the Headmistress, even at such a young age. She knows what is right and just and runs the school accordingly. This does not, however, hinder her fiery spirit and sense of humour. She also enjoys a nice shot of firewhiskey on occasion, secreted away in her office.
