Character Name: Daviv Radaris
Character Age: 43
Wand: 13 inch, willow, stardust
Pet (if any): A small siberian cat, but looks like a big ball of fluff, named Mercury
Where did your character attend school? Hogwarts, all seven years.
What House was he/she in (If applicable)? Ravenclaw
Family History (Go into detail, if possible): His parents were a muggle wizard and a squib. The whole thing about his parents were opposites. One liked the color blue more, his mother, while his father liked orange. The only time they wore anything remotely the same was at funerals. But, as proven by Daviv's parents, opposites really DO attract. The Radaris family was always a tiny one, with only a mother, a father, Daviv, an aunt, and uncle, and a few distant relatives. They definitely weren't the richest in the world, but they came by food and drink sufficient enough.
Physical Description: He has a thin build, but he is tall. His height makes him seem even more thinner than he really is, but he's just tall. His skin is a dark sandy color, he had spent some time traveling the muggle world, then decided to just do away with that and take up a job at Hogwarts. His tan which was once very deep has now reduced to this, but he seems not to notice. Maybe he doesn't want to. Nobody knows.
His hair is normally changing styles. You'd never know what he'd do with it next. It's pretty long, and jet black. He has done so many things with hi hair, it's a surprise he hasn't run out of styles yet. Some students silently snicker behind their backs, and he snickers to himself about how they aren't willing to be daring and try new things.
He has icy blue eyes, yet them seem warm and friendly when he wants them to be. But, if he wants to, he can give one heck of a glare. And that's no lie. He has made many a student wither upon one look and tell what they've done wrong.
Personality Description: (Go into detail, if possible) To sum up his whole personality on one word, it would have to be inattentive. For a librarian, he is better educated than most. He also loves books, so this is the perfect job for him. The only thing that gets to him is study hall. He normally just reads and completely shuts the world down around him, normally inadvertently letting the students talk louder than normally in a library. But, sometimes he's caught without a book.
You don't want to get on his bad side, then.
He'll keep shushing you every time he hears you, but won't really say anything else. He has a laptop, and it's always positioned on his desk, turned slightly. Though, of course it does not work. He likes to seem imposing while actually not, it sort of lightens the mood. Many know the laptop doesn't work, Daviv knows it as well. It's like a silent in joke, but he DOES keep a REAL list of students who talk too loudly in his desk. The first time they walk out of study hall with that behavior, they get a warning before heading off. No harm done. But, if the person still walks into the library after multiple warnings and proceeds to disrupt the students trying to work, then he starts taking house points. Some students love him, some hate him, but most respect him.
Outside of the library, when classes are in session, he is normally seen, still, in the library. The one thing he enjoys more than books is company, and loves it when people come to see him. He then transforms into something you don't expect from a frail, tall, thin man like him. He makes jokes, observations, and basically tries to lighten the mood.
Strengths: Charms and DADA. He always uses charms to bring books to him when he doesn't feel like getting up, but you'd never think he's good at DADA. According to him, you never know when you might need it. Also, his glare.
Weaknesses: Potions and transfiguration. He always managed to just pour a little bit too much of the WRONG thing. The potion blows up. Never, ever, under any circumstances, let Daviv near potions. He never really caught onto transfiguration. Lastly, some students don't take him seriously because of his ever-changing hair.
Why would you like to take this staff position at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry? I want to play a staff member, and I think Daviv could be a fun character to play.
Which staff position would you like? Librarian!
Have you had any prior experience (In character, and on other sites) I haven't rped before coming here, so... >>
Please give us an example RP: Daviv sat at his desk, book in hand, hair tied up in a strange, lopsided yet intricate knot, reading. Some students were quietly studying like they should be, and others were snickering to themselves. He was quickly jerked from his book when one student boisterously told a "real" tale about how he and his parents went hunting for "mudbloods". He would not have that in this room.
He quickly stood up, and strode over to the table. The student knew what was coming. He leaned on the table, eyes burning right through the student. He was in for it now. But, surprisingly, Daviv laughed, showing how much of a distraction he was through doing the same. Some students giggled. Daviv didn't notice. He quickly reverted back to his glare in an instant, slapping his hands on the table and looking the student in the eye.
"Twenty points from Slytherin. Five for being a distraction, and fifteen for use of that word. Now, out." He definitely did not take this as a joke, which the student tried to play it off as.
"Out. Now." He said, giving one more glare at the Fifth year Slytherin. The student groaned, and left. All eyes were on Daviv.
One he made sure he was out, he simply returned to his seat, sat down, and gave one more message to the students.
"Carry on." With that, he turned back to his book and read, completely oblivious to students snickering and pointing at the Slytherin, who was looking into the library using the small window on the door.
