Melissa Bay followed Minka out of the common room. He held her hand out in front of her, with a large shard of glass protruding from it. Her eyes were damp with tears, it obviously hurt. She kept looking back, hoping that her friend Marius would follow.
Minka walked quickly towards the direction of the hospital wing. Ekhart followed behind Melissa, looking up at her with his beady little black eyes. The expression on the marten's face was a severe one as if to tell Melissa to 'keep moving'.

Neville nearly ran right into Minka as he rounded a corner towards the Hufflepuff Common Room.
"Whups," he said, slowing down. "I imagine you've heard about the kerfuffle in the Great Hall tonight... I was sent to check on the students."

Minka side-stepped Prof. Longbottom evading the potential collision. "Yes. I did... I had a bad feeling, I didn't go to dinner... The Hufflepuffs are fine, just shaken-up, I would imagine that the rest of the students are the same... If you don't mind, I have to take Melissa here to the hospital wing to see Dr. Lannsman..."
The girl peered at Neville from behind Minka the marten was now making low rumbling noises at Neville. It didn't seem too happy with him for some reason.

"Dr. Lannsman has been seriously wounded. However, there are some doctors there from St. Mungo's tending to her, and they'll look after Melissa as well."
"Do you mind if I pop in on your students? I'm on orders from the Headmistress to check on everyone and make sure they're all right, and to offer my counselling if needed. Being that my mentor was Head of House Hufflepuff, I'm sure we'll get along famously."

"I see", she said in a rather dead pan tone, "That is a shame, at least there are other doctors." She raised an eyebrow at Neville's question. "Ja- of course go ahead- It makes no difference to me. Come now dear, hurry."
The girl shyly followed, eager to reach the hospital wing. The marten growled and hissed louder at Neville. Minka turned on her heal and grabbed the animal by the scruff of its neck. She scolded harshly in Romanian before dropping it on the ground again. It ran off down the hall ahead of them.

Neville quirked an eyebrow at the marten hissing at him, and filed it away in his brain for further questioning, as he needed to focus on his task at hand.
