Personality[/u]
The first thing someone probably notices about Marian is how optimistic she is. Whenever something goes wrong she's quick to say "Well let's look on the bright side-" Some consider this her best trait, others consider it her most annoying. Admittedly in a near death experience your not exactly wanting to hear "Well let's look on the bright side, we're not dead..." mere seconds after. Her optimism tends to make her careless.
Meri tends to hide her hurts, sorrows, and disappointments behind the belief that everything is going to get better. This can be very bad; imagine laughing on the outside for everyone else's sake while your own heart is breaking on the inside. Also she tends to see only the best in people, and this naive trait can easily lead to her being deceived and hurt.
Miriam is a direct person. She says what she means not out of spite, she is a person completely free of malice actually, but simply because she doesn't know how to beat around the bush. Yet she is rather thin skinned herself and too easily hurt by a thoughtless action or careless rebuff.
A born entertainer, she is a gifted conversationalist, and a wonderful storyteller. Often she is able to catch the attention of an entire room. She likes confidences being shared with her and loves being asked for advice.
Meri has the problem of starting one project and then going off to the next before finishing the first. The reason behind this is she is easily bored of things and simply feels that she must "move on."
Meri is straightforward and honest. There's nothing underhand or secretive in the way she deals. She tends to be rather extravagant and wasteful.
Also the girl can be rather reckless and irresponsible and is known for her forgetfulness. Commitments are almost nonexistent, and promises mean little. Meri's emotions tend to be shallow. She is rather quick tempered but cools quickly.
Marian does favors for others and doesn't expect anything in return. She has a "no strings" motto.
Meri grows restless when indoors for too long. She loves the outdoors and feels like a trapped animal when not allowed to roam. She needs a lot of outdoor exercise to keep healthy. Out of all exercises she enjoys calming walks the most. In fact in dating she enjoys outdoor dates above all. Meri is quick moving even if she's not exactly always graceful.
Even though Meri has a slight paying attention problem she still enjoys learning a lot.
Meri tends to fall in "love" very quickly and falls out just as quick. She is drawn to romance because of the excitement, passion, and sheer adventure. Each love is like a learning experience for her, and she doesn't realize romance can leave behind a trail of wounded feelings. If an old love harbors resentment she is genuinely surprised. She doesn't look back with regret.
Marian isn't interested in a guy who lacks a sense of fun and doesn't like any sort of long term commitment, she is rootless. If she is unhappy she wont resign or compromise or even try to work things out; she will simply walk out. But in her defense she is also the type of girl who would marry for love, not money or social status.

One old one from you know where and all that jazz~
Rather quickly, before Meri really had time to grasp what had just happened, Alex had somehow fallen and was on top of her, (Which was uncomfortable and embarrassing enough in Meri's opinion) and to make matters worse Meri thought she just heard the door close. Alex seemed to have realized he was on Meri after a long moment and he jumped up and helped Meri to her feet. "Show us how brave you are now Gryffindor." Cadroc said through the door, nothing more. Meri blinked, unaccustomed to this sort of treatment when she hadn't provoked it. At the moment she didn't feel very brave.
"Alexeo, help me with this door," Alex said, and he started to try and ram the door. Clearly, he wasn't amused. This went on fruitlessly for a few minutes and then Alex gave up. "Ok, well we can't go out this way. There must be another way to get out," Alex said, as he began to look around. As he did so Meri started plotting in her head what she'd do to get her revenge on Cadroc. He wasn't going to get off easy for this.
"Ok guys. Grab a candle or two and lets go exploring," Alex said, with a candle he had just lit with sparks from his wand. Meri watched Alexeo grabbed on and then grabbed her own.
"Do you reckon we should stick together?" Alexeo asked.
Meri looked at the candle in her hand and did not feel much comfort. "This is going to save me?" She wondered aloud. "Honestly, when I get ahold of him," She went on, using many rather colorful words one does not use in polite conversation. "He's a dead man." She finished. The gryffindor looked around. "What way to do reckon we should go? I wonder if anyone is going to realize we're gone and come looking. I hope so..." She said looking at the other two. They didn't seem to find this a worrisome situation. Had they heard the same stories about this house that she had?
