It was around 11am on Christmas day by the lake. The day was nice and sunny, but cold enough so that the snow didn't melt. The frozen lake shone under the sun, and trees around it were covered in ice. The sigh was beautiful but almost blinding.
Isabelle was wearing her new blue scarf and gloves that she had received from her grandparents, and she had pulled the hood of her black school cloak over her head. She was walking ahead of a small group of first years towards a popular spot near the lake.
Henson, her flying-fox bat, was clinging to her shoulder, squeaking gleefully. When they reached the area, he flew off her shoulder to go cling to a frozen branch, licking it as Isabelle waited for the others to catch up.

Stevie was jogging along at walking pace, being the hyped-up-on-sugar Stevie that he was. So far, everything he had eaten was sugary. Really sugary. He was wearing a simply red jacket and black pants, with a pair of simple boots, gloves, and a beanie. He didn't wear scarves, not because he didn't think they were 'manly', he just didn't like the feel of them.
He did a dive into the next bundle of snow he could, Floyd jumping out at the precise moment not to be crushed in snow. He gave a small bark as prairie dogs do, and waddled alone, scurrying out of the way of wayward feet.

((OOC: I know I'm going to be leaving, but I decided I'd post here because Kel kinda has to be here. Just pretend she's participating, okay? And I give you all permission to control Tiria (she's my purple-eyed black half-Kneazle) if you want to play with her or something. Thanks!))
Kel trotted up to the snow-bank which Floyd had just hopped out of, looking around for his owner. She was getting cold, so she pulled down the flaps of her light brown bomber hat, hiding the warm plaid of the inside. She was dressed warmly in a warm chocolate-colored corduroy fleece-lined sweatshirt, thick, waterproof black gloves and jeans worn over her familiar fleece-lined boots. A forest-green scarf was looped around her neck, and she pulled this tighter about her neck to keep all the warm, cozy air inside.
Tiria padded over to the snow bank, which appeared to be moving slightly, and Kel curiously peered around the raven-colored cat as she nosed about in the fluffy snow. Kel spotted a familiar-looking boot, and she poked it.

Lilianne followed, giggling when Stevie took a dive in the snow. Once she arrived near Isabelle she took Dinsdale out of her cloak's hood and she set him down in the snow. He proceeded to waddle around in it gleefully, soon joined in play by Henson.
Wearing, as Isabelle, the set of winter accessories sent to her by their grandparents (except that hers were red), she grabbed a bit of snow and rolled it between her hands. The snow was nice and sticky. She sent the little ball rolling between Dinsdale and Henson, who raced to catch it.

Stevie sat up, shaking snow from his hair, the hat now lost. He searched for a bit, and found it quickly, putting it back on. Floyd scampered around, attempting to play with all of the animals here. And everyone seemed to pay more attention to the animals than him, so he sat against a tree, and opened his book, sure nobody was around him. He took the feather, casually, and began to write, peeking up to see if anyone was there.

As her sister was busy watching the playing pets, Isabelle grinned mischieviously, some distance behind her.
She took her wand out of her sleeve, and pointed at a snow covered pine branch, hanging directly over Lilianne.
"Descendo!"

Lilianne only had time to start turning her head as she heard her sister incant, before she caught an armful of snow all over her head.
She froze in place for a few seconds, then slowly turned to face her laughing sister, mouth agape, and stared at her silently for a while...
Then erupted in laughter, ducking quickly to grab snowballs to throw at Isabelle.

"Proteg..."Isabelle didn't react in time to shield herself before she got hit by a snowball. She stared at her sister for a while, then shrugged, putting her wand back in her sleeve, and she started collecting snow to fight Lilianne and Keladry the old fashionned way for a while, until she got a bit shortwinded and asked for a truce, laughing. Beating the snow off her hair and clothes, Isabelle looked around. Someone was missing. Where's that sugar-hyped boy? Sort of odd he didn't join them. She finally saw him, sitting againts a tree, and walked up to him. "Hey Stevie, what are you up to? Why aren't you playing with us?"[OOC: I took the liberty to assume Kel joins the fight, here... Just so she isn't left standing around dumbly because her player left ]

"Nothing!" He said quickly, dropping the pen and putting his book to his chest. He hoped she would think of it as a diary, though she may be a bit too cunning for that... Stevie hoped not. He silently prayed that she wouldn't be.

Isabelle frowned at Stevie. He was acting odd, but then again, she didn't really know the kid.
"Hum, shouldn't you be waiting until after something intesting happenned before you wrote in there? Come on, I said I had a surprise for you guys!"

"Um... Sure... Yeah..." He quickly wrote a goodbye and stood up, placing the book in his pocket.
"...What's the surprise?" He was excited now, although he wanted to talk more in the book. The person didn't really speak much, and when he did, it was some advice about things Stevie had never heard of, so oh well.

"Follow me then, everyone!"
Isabelle led the little group on, towards the frozen lake. The pets followed them, still chasing each other.
Once at the edge of the lake, Isabelle glanced over it for a while, then, with a satisfied grin, she stepped on to it, and walked some distance on it, careful not to slip. She then turned around and beckoned for the others to join her.

Lilianne kept glancing over at Stevie perplexedly. It didn't fit what she knew of him to just sit there writing in a book, while the rest of them were playing in the snow.
Especially when he had eaten so much sugar already.
She was worried something was upsetting him, but she wouldn't dare ask him, so when he caught her eye, she simply smiled nervously, and followed her sister onto the lake.

Isabelle was still smiling, as she approched Lilianne.
"Well then, you first. I'm sure you'll enjoy this... Merry Christmas!"
She pointed at Lilianne's feet, and yelled: "Res Rei Verto!"
Lilianne's boots transfigured into ice skates.

Lilianne gasped in surprise and lost her balance, falling on her bottom. She looked far from upset however, and looked at her feet, still sitting on the ice.
"Ooooo! This is fantastic, Isabelle! This is gonna be so much fun, if I can manage to keep standing!"
She giggled as Keladry helped her up. Once up, she started taking a few tentative slides around her companions.
