Orynn hadn't dressed this formally for years it seemed. However, this was a special occasion which demanded the best of all. Welcoming new students to Hogwarts was an amazing honor, which Orynn prided himself in being a part of.
He had a very heavy looking black robe on. His arms were crossed over his chest, and the hood to his garment was down, his hair reflecting bright against the night's moon.
He stood half way down the flight of stairs that would lead into the Entrance Courtyard, beyond which was the Great Hall which the entire student roster and staff awaited those to be sorted and admitted into the school. This was a very exciting time, one that Orynn thought himself personally, to have been the best day of his life.

Althea stood on the stairs taking her place with the rest of the staff. her hands were clasped together and she smiled warmly, welcoming the new students to the school. She wore the traditional dark green robes of a healer, over which she sported full long white apron. Hermes, her black-footed ferret perched himself on her shoulder and also watched the students enter, his nose twitching in the air, learning the scent of any student who got close enough.
[[[Edit: sorry I misunderstood.]]
Althea waited in the great hall with the rest of the staff to finally meet the students. (in her case for the first time) She wore the traditional dark green robes of a healer, over which she sported full long white apron.

Stevie followed the man, up to this man. Stevie was, now, grinning from ear to ear, and couldn't stop. He just wanted to get in there, and see what would happen from there. But, nevertheless, Stevie would listen to what this man had to say, if anything. Though, he did feel rather stupid at the moment, holding his guitar. Oh well. He doubted anyone was judging him. At least, he HOPED nobody was judging him.
Stevie caught the man's smile who escorted him here earlier. He seemed like a nice enough guy. Though, that was just telling by first glance. Stevie thought most people were pretty nice at first glance. Except that guy who shoved a poor kid. There was NO way Stevie wanted to be around HIM, ever.

Neoma made an effort to keep up with the crowd. She found herself beside another boy, with a guitar with him. Neoma smiled, it would seem that non-magic things made their way into this world just as easily as anything else. The fact comforted her, maybe she could live in both worlds in harmony.
As they approached the steps, she began to slow more and more as the man in black robes came closer and closer without himself moving. His bright white hair and dull grey eyes made him look really eerie in the nights moonlight. Without meaning too, she spoke,
"Dear me..." She quickly quieted herself, not wanting to be heard by her neighbors.

Stevie gave a quick glance to a girl that had mysteriously appeared beside him. Actually, she probably just was following the crowd and ended up beside him. Whatever.
"Hi!" He said to the newcomer, still grinning. Maybe, if he was lucky, he could make two friends before the year even started. Then, he had more of a chance of being in the same house as one of his newfound friends. Or friend, maybe. Hopefully friends.

Neoma looked over to the boy beside her, she blinked and then returned the smile and the welcome. Finally, someone her own age.
"Hi." she said.
She wondered as to how dark is had turned over the course of a few hours. However, Neoma wasn't the least bit tired. She was hungry, and now she was much too nervous and excited. She turned back to Stevie and asked innocently;
"Do you know what happens now?"

"Nope, sorry," he replied, shrugging slightly. "But I WISH I knew." He added as an afterthought. Maybe this guy'll give a speech or something. Then all of the first years will go into the castle and... Then what? Stevie had no clue what to expect, but that's why he was so excited.
(Sorry it was so short >>)

The group of first years stopped just in front of the supposed Deputy Headmaster, who still hadn't said a word. Glancing over her shoulder quickly, she saw that some of the first years had still not quite made it. There were indeed alot of new admission to this... famed Wizarding School, this year anyways.
"Me too." Neoma giggled. Looking at the boy beside her again. "My name's Neoma, pronounced like n-AY-oma, even though it's an 'e' and not an 'a'.''

"I'm Stevie." He replied, smiling. "Sounds just like it's spelled." He added. He couldn't help smiling like an idiot. Here he was, at the famed wizarding school, Hogwarts. First day, diving right into it. How could he NOT be anticipating what's going to happen next? He thought he would give a speech, get the first years into groups, and have them go to their sleeping quarters or something, then wake up the next day, get familiar with the teachers... Stuff like that.

The crowd of eleven years olds had halted before him. Perhaps intimidated, but possibly looking to him for their next bid of instruction. Orynn waited until they had all caught up with him, and Orynn made a mental note to thank the Groundskeeper and Shellivia during the First Feast of the Term.
He looked over the first years, took a sharp intake of breath and began to speak. His tone was mellow, informative, and yet firm and did not encourage interruption.
"Welcome, all of you." During his address he would sometimes look at different students directly into their eyes. Before looking over to the next student. "There is a great feast prepared for you all, a hearty meal to make sure your first day within the castle is an inviting one. We are pleased to admit such bright youngsters into our well-established Wizarding School, of Hogwarts."
Despite the fact that the speech was very complimentary and kind, Orynn expressing didn't seem to reflect that. He looked little more than a robot, and hadn't even uncrossed his arms yet.
"During your stay at Hogwarts, we will be as your family away from home, and you will each be new additions to our proud family. First, you must be sorted into your houses. There is Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, and Slytherin. Where you belong, will be decided by very magical means indeed." Finally, the Deputy Headmaster smiled to the group before him.
He turn slightly to the right, and motioned for them to follow, and they did. Orynn walked to the front doors of Hogwarts. He turned back to the students. "Please, wait here a moment." He said seriously. He then opened the very tall heavy door, slipping in very quietly.

Stevie stayed dead quiet the whole time throughout Orynn's speech, watching him with intrigue. Stevie liked the sound of all of the houses, except Slytherin. Slytherin. Something about that name, Stevie didn't like.
He followed the Deputy Headmaster until he was told to stop, which he did. His eyes were now lit up like fireworks, there was going to be a feast! But, there were four houses. That's not the biggest chance in the world to be in a house with friends, and that made Stevie a bit uncomfortable. If you looked past his eyes, you could definitely see discomfort. He wasn't the BEST at making friends, some may see him as annoying. Sure, he was okay at it, but he doubted he'd socialize much if his friends weren't there. Even though he considered himself only having two friends so far, Keladry and Neoma, possibly not even Neoma, it would be a world of difference in Stevie, and to others who would meet Stevie.

Neoma looked up in awe as the Deputy listened. She was comforted by the words, but not by the way they were said. This guy could've dressed up as a statue for Halloween and won any costume contest held. She jogged after him when he motioned the to follow, and the rest of the youngsters.
She still hadn't gotten used to the robes she was wearing, and almost tripped on them once or twice. She was asked to stay put, and she didn't dare disobey. She looked to Stevie again, it was nice to have someone to talk to.
"I think I'm getting stage fright." And she tried to laugh it off.

Stevie turned to Neoma. "Don't worry about it, half the students probably are." Stevie was too overwhelmed by excitement and discomfort to BE nervous. Stevie usually doesn't get nervous at most things. He just feels other emotions more than nervousness, so he expressed those.

Finally, the Deputy Headmaster returned. He slipped through the large door, and looked at the nervous students in front of him. Some had the jitters, others looked like they would rather die than crack. Others were clearly annoyed already, while others appeared indifferent. No matter. Orynn though, it would all be over momentarily. "We're ready, follow me inside please." Orynn turned around, and raised his hands into the air. He rotated his palms, and pulled outwards, as if opening an invisible curtain. The large door that stood before the group creaked open, and was soon wide and ready to admit them. Orynn walked through, hearing the hushed whispers of awe behind him from some. {You should now post here.}
