It was a day before Christmas holidays, and the castle was bustling with packing students, and cheerful professors, and the halls were decorated with Christmas decorations and decorated fir trees. There were also charmed mistletoe sprigs, which bloomed randomly throughout the halls.
Elsbeth stood outside of Aesir's office, wearing a Santa hat paired with black pants and a red jumper. She had a piece of parchment in one hand and a quill in the other. She was rechecking which staff wizards were staying over the break, celebrating Christmas with the other remaining faculty and students.
She was staying to have the festive meal with the remaining people, and she secretly hoped Aesir was, too.
She moved the quill to her other hand, and knocked three times on his open office door, to get his attention.

The door to Aesir's office popped open after some bumbling about. He stood with a sketching pencil tucked behind his ear, wearing thicker brown pants, his old combat boots, a dark red sweater with the words 'Naughty Nice' written across it.
As he opened the door, something small swung out from the top: a mistletoe hung on a rope with a small note of 'Season's greetings' on it.
He was frowning at first when he'd opened the door but his devilish grin grew across his features once more. "Hello, Headmistress. To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Elsbeth cleared her throat, barely glancing up at the mistletoe that now hung in the doorway. If she ignored it, maybe it would disappear...
"Yes, Professor," she said, emphasizing his title to remind him that this was probably a business meeting, not a casual rendez vouz. "I was going through the lists of which students and professors and the like were remaining over Christmas Holiday."
She waited, seemingly impatiently, to enter his office.

"Stayin' at the Castle, eh? Course, where the hell else would I go." he said shrugging, sounding somewhat bitter. He looked into his office and looked back to the Heaadmistress. "Ye can come in if ye'd like, but it's a bit of a mess. And don't touch anything on the desk please! Or next to it!"
He sounded somewhat nervous about letting her in. The office seemed clean enough except for the odd shirt here and there, but the desk was a mess of paper and pencil shavings, as well as measuring instruments and a long roll of parchment filled with scribbles that seemed mostly like numbers.
"Gettin' into the Christmas spirit, are we?" he asked, grinning a bit, looking to Elsbeth's Santa hat and jumper.

Ignoring the bitterness in Aesir's tone, she responded kindly. "Very well then, you can join us at the Christmas feast!" she said with a bright smile.
Elsbeth poked her head into his office, and, seeing the mess on his desk, decided against entering the office. "Oh, it's alright, you seem rather busy at the moment. I just really needed to finish this list, anyway."
"And Holiday Spirit? You know it! This is my favorite time of year; an extra reason to make sure my staff and students are happy and cared for."
She paused, realizing she had forgotten something, and quickly pulled her wand out of her sleeve with her free hand and muttered a spell under her breath. Her parchment and quill disappeared, banished to her office, and then with another muttering, a wrapped package appeared floating in front of her.
She picked up the package and held it out to Aesir. "Speaking of caring for my staff, here you go." It was a small trinket, of no real importance, merely a token of appreciation. She had decided to give all her staff members something small to raise their spirits.
[OOC: I have absolutely no clue what Elsbeth would have gotten Aesir, so you decide and write it in your post when you open it, pelase!]

Aesir looked actually surprised that she summoned a gift. He looked at it with caution as though it might explode if held the wrong way.
"Oh...er..well, thank ye Elsbeth. That's...that's very kind of ye...I uh, I'm sorry I don't...Come in, have a seat." he said, looking to be at a loss for words at the simple action of the gift. He moved aside to let her in and shook the gift a bit.
Okay, no ticking...that's a good sign.
He walked over to the back of the room, picking up his bass guitar from leaning on the chair, and put it back on it's stand. Taking the chair, he offered it to Elsbeth as he plunked down at his desk.
Gently, he unwrapped it, putting the paper aside on the desk. At least the mess looked festive now.
He pulled up a small phial and failed at repressing a smile. Popping the lid, he took a wiff of the liquid inside.
"Well, I hate to say it, but I don't have quite the form you do to keep it as hidden as you do Elsbeth, but I appreciate it. Thank ye very much." he said good naturedly as he held it up, smiling in earnest. He looked over to her, seeming to be almost playful in his humour.
"And a christmas feast ye say? Sounds...sounds like fun. Maybe I could play a few Christmas carols. Ye all seemed ter like my work with the Halloween Ball."

Elsbeth followed him into his office and sat in the offered seat. She smiled as he inquisitvely shook the gift then opened it. She smiled even widr at his appreciation, and humor. "I figured you'd appreciate a vial of your own, so you won't need to look at mine as much." she was obviously joking, because it was obvious that the firewhiskey was not what he was loking for, but rather in the middle of what he was looking at, usually.
"I don't think anoyone would ind if you... Wait a tick, that was you?! I mean I had a strange inkling that I had seen the bassist before, and he - you! Looked so darn familiar..."
She sighed and one handedly played with the end of her sleeve. "You had us fooled for a couple of months, Aesir."
Then, with a playful grin, she said, "Looks like there's truth to your tshirt, afterall."

Aesir smiled and popped open his drawer, pulling out the pilot helmet from inside and placing the phial in there. He put the helmet in too, and winked to Elsbeth.
"Unfortunately for you, more than ye know, me dear." he said with that mischievous gleam in his eye. He stood up and strolled over to her. "Speaking of which, I've got a gift for ye too."
He placed his hands on the arm rests as he leaned forward, still at a respectable distance.
"Seems I forgot to give it to you."

She watched as he took out the helmet from the Halloween Ball and placed the vial in it. A flash of embarrasment crossed through her mind, but she pushed it aside. She hadn't been the only one fooled.
As he closed the drawer to his desk and walked over to her, her eyes followed his movements.
"Please, do enlighten me. What would this gift be?" she said as she stared right into his eyes.

"Well, ye claim ye're in the Christmas spirit. But-" he said slyly, looking back to the door with the mistletoe stuck up top before looking to her again.
He moved forward and sat on her lap, a lopsided roguish grin upon his face. "Santa, mind if I ask ye what I want fer Christmas? I'll be sure to leave ye some cookies." he said playfully as he wrapped one arm over her shoulders. He crossed his heart. "I promise."

Elsbeth smiled a saccharine sweet smile, and replied to his foolish antics. "Yes, dear child ask away."
"...And, just so you know, I'm holding you to that promise of cookies."

Aesir simply smiled slyly and leaned forward a little closer, tightening the noose on his trap.
"Sure, so long as yer willing ter follow the rest of christmas tradition." he said, his eys flickering to the mistletoe.
He plucked the Santa hat from her head and plopped it onto his own.

Elsbeth rolled her eyes, and simply answered, "Fine, as you wish." 'Tis the season, right, Elsbeth?' she thought to herself.

Aesir leaned forward and planted a kiss on Elsbeth's cheek. "There ye go. That's fer the mistletoe."
He leaned in a little and whispered, "This one from me."
He landed a quick and sot kiss on Elsbeth's neck, the kind that left goosebumps running along her body as he gave her a wink and stood back up, tossing the flopped hat back away from his face.
"So-" Aesir said as he opened the bottom drawer. "thirsty? Or are you in need of more persuasion to say a little while longer?"

Even though she had somewhat expected this, Elsbeth still felt surprised as he kissed her cheek, and even more surprised as he kissed her neck. That one left goosebumps and a tingle.
She remembered the mistletoe from when she walked in, and that was alright, but the kiss from him, that was a Christmas present that she wouldn't forget so easily.
"Err.." she said, a little flustered. "Maybe I should... go. I have stuff to do... for the thing..." She was so flustered she couldn't even remember what it was she had been doing before she arived at his office.
