Isabelle shuffled her feet as she made her way to her head of house's office, after supper the same day of the last class of Ancient Runes before the holiday break. She would have procrastinated on going there as long as she could have, but Sera litteraly shoved her out of the common room, to get it out of the way instead of searching for more trouble.
The door was open as it often was, so Isabelle stopped in the doorframe, knocking on it.
"You wanted to see me, Ma'am?", she said, her bitterness too visible for her own good.

Zea was sitting on the windowsill, Bandy purring on her lap. She looked up when she heard a knock on her doorframe. She pursed her lips at the girl's tone of voice, but let it slide.
"Oh, Isabelle. Good. Come in, sit down, make yourself comfortable."

Isabelle came in and ploped herself down on the nearest chair, her arms crossed. She didn't say anything, as if she was just waiting for the Professor to start berating her so she could get over with it quick.

"Is there something wrong, Isabelle? Is there a reason you've lost interest in your studies? What's happening?"

Isabelle jumped up, surprised.
"What? What are you talking about? Aren't I supposed to be here because I talked back to that kid who made fun of me in class? There's nothing wrong with me, I haven't lost interest in magic, I'm good!"

Zea crossed her arms and leaned against the walls.
"There's no point beating around the bush about it. You've never been a troublemaker, but this year, it seems you've developed a bizarre new attitude. So what is it?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about.", she said stubbornly. "I've always been me, I'm not pretending to be anyone else. Sure, I'm not a 11 year old anymore, but if you're not expecting your students to grow up over the years..."

"I'm not expecting you to be an eleven year old. However, I do expect you to uphold the decorum and academic respect attributed to members of this House and this school."
"In your first couple of years, you were always in the library, always working hard, getting good grades... last year, you failed an OWL. And you're barely squeaking by this year."

Isabelle let out an overdramatic, exasperated grunt, looking up to the ceiling and sinking back in her seat.
"So just because I'm no longer spending all my time studying, because I got a life, I'm a bad girl now? I'm a good witch! I'm talented! Yeah, I failed one OWL, but it's not like that was all my doing there."
"It was pretty obvious that sword slinging freak didn't like me, probably because I'm not in his noble house!"
Isabelle sank further into her seat, muttering:"Pointless class, anyway."

"I'm not saying you need to spend all your time studying, that you can't have a social life. But from the way it looks to me, it looks like you're unable to find the balance, and that's what concerns me."
"And give your professors the proper respect. Nobody in this school marks students poorly because of personal grudges."

"Well he's not my professor anymore, so no problem there." Isabelle said rather harshly.
"So what exactly am I supposed to do to make you happy? Heavens forbid I actually try to enjoy my time in this school."
