She watched him walk back to where he was originally sitting. Looking back down at the floor, half of her wanted to follow him but the other half just wanted to leave. He was a Slytherin, this really wasn't like him.
Sighing, she turned on her heel and walked over to where he was standing,"Not meaning to sound nosey, but this really isn't like you. The person I met in Diagon Alley was like you, but this.. this is just not. I know you have no reason to tell me, but what is wrong?"
That was totally the wrong thing to ask. Blown the only chance for an alright conversation. But no.

"Well, that was a first. If you actually mean it, then ok a civil conversation would be ok."
Firstly, Alora couldn't believe that a Slytherin was offering to talk to her, let alone that it was Kennedy. Secondly, wishing she thought before she spoken, she instantly wanted to take what she just said back.

She let out a half laugh, half sigh before looking away from him, "What is there not to understand about this? She wasn't being funny, but she really had no idea what he was talking about.
What exactly is he trying to say? He wants to be alone or not? she questioned.

Being rather on the short side really wasn't useful in situations like these. Stopping dead in her tracks she looked up at him, her hands still stuffed in her pockets. "Sorry, thought you would prefer to be alone," she answered in a rather sarcastic tone. She raised her eyebrows waiting for some kind of witty reply.

Hearing his voice, she turned slightly towards him and put on a clearly fake smile before muttering "Kennedy". The smile from her face dropped quickly after, and she continued to walk.
Hoping he wouldn't actually begin to talk to her, she sped up with her head down, and hands in pockets.

It was one of those days, the ones everyone has where they just need to get away. Today was Alora's day. Taking a quiet stroll down by the lake was usually what cleared her mind from the stresses of Hogwarts work, students and teachers.
Wrapped up in a gray hoody with a blue scarf, she walked slowly towards the lake. Her slow walking the cause of thinking which, of course, was always dangerous in her case.
Closer and closer she got to an unknown figure, until she finally saw who it was 'Oh no, not again, she thought as she noticed Kennedy again. Honestly, she really was not ready for another argument so soon in the school year. But she felt she couldn't turn round and walk off, it would just look suspicious.
