"Yay!" Kel exclaimed jubilantly, then immediately started off for the door back into the castle.
"C'mon!" She tossed back over her shoulder, then kept going, the large mug of hot chocolate flying around in her imagination spurring her onward.
{Yup, I guess this is pretty much over with. . . we could start up a thread in the kitchens, I guess, but maybe there isn't much to talk about. . . ?}

Kel turned to Fay, waiting for her response, the prospect of that hot chocolate in her minds eye, her mouth watering at the thought of the warm, creamy, lovely, chocolately liquid sliding down her throat as she gulped it down. . . pure bliss.

Kel, who had just had another load of freezing snow dumped on her from an anonymous source and was acutely unaware of the lack of feeling in her toes and legs, replied gratefully to Arcturus' suggestion.
"That sounds great! Why don't we head in and find some hot chocolate!"
Surprised a little at this idea, which had just popped out of her mouth without planning, the damp 'Puff found that she liked the prospect a lot, and smiled around at their little bedraggled group.

Kel shook snow out of her face, and managed to open her eyes in time to have an extremely heavy Arcturus MacDougal hit her legs. She tumbled over him, landing. . . she didn't know where. She seemed to be enveloped in wetness, though. She fought her way out of the constricting cocoon of snow, spitting half-melted and totally-melted snow out of her mouth, blinking profusely to get it out of her eyes. Arcturus had had ample time to stand up, get a couple dohnuts, blow Stevie to kingdom come, visit the restroom, get a college degree or three and glug a nice cup of hot cocoa. Kel looked around her warily, a handful of snow at the ready.

Kel heard everything Fay and Arcturus said and quickly decided to make her entrance quick, surprising and powerful. Quietly scooping snow into another snowball, she tensed her muscles. . . then jumped up, tossed the snowball into Fay's face, leaped over the wall. . . straight onto a tussling Arcturus and Stevie. She started shoving Arcturus off Stevie, but his hands were firmly gripping the younger boy and he was heavy, so she wasn't sure if this tactic would work all that well. Her 'overpower the opposition' plan wasn't going exactly the way she had planned, but she quickly changed her idea and attacked their fort, grabbing a handful of the snow forming the walls and pegging the seemingly still-stunned Fay with it. Breathless, though all of this had taken a mere ten or so seconds, she turned back to the males.

Kel, seeing Stevie charge, ran as silently as she could up the hill, tossing a few snowballs over the walls when she got close enough. When Stevie dove into their old fort, she figured the oldies'd be too busy with hand-to-hand combat to see her, so she grabbed more snow and hurried up to the fort, hiding outside where the wall of snow met the stone of Hogwarts.

{OOC: N'kay, so since none of the 'oldies' have seen me, then I'll just go:}
Kel, in position behind a large tree as close as she could get without being seen to the back of the oldies' fort, stuck her gloved hand outside the tree line and gave the spot she had last seen Stevie a nice big thumbs up. She quickly pulled her hand back, then stuck one eye around the large trunk of the. . . she looked up. . . oak tree she was concealed behind.

"Sounds good." Kel nodded back at him, giving him an experimental thumbs up, then rubbed her hands together and almost cackled, she was getting so hyper.
'Whoa. That was kinda weird.
But fun, you hafta admit! It's nice to cackle sometimes!'
Kel cackled for a bit, deciding she liked to do it on occasion, then grabbed another couple of handfuls of snow and set off through the trees, being careful to stay back a bit from the edge so that the watchful oldies wouldn't see anything.

Kel, hearing the whisper, spun around and hurried over to him. Wanting to know what had happened and where Fayette and Arcturus were but easily able to tell he had something up his sleeve (figuratively), she looked at him expectantly.

Kel stayed behind the thick evergreen trees, occasionally peering out at the hilltop fort from between the branches of the pines. She wandered a little deeper so she couldn't be spotted by the older kids, then called softly to her wayward fighting companion. "Stevie? Stevie, are you in here? If you can hear me, holler!" Kel stopped, listening to see if she could hear him yelling.

{Wow, Arky. I'm impressed. That was extreme.}
Kel sat quietly in her fort, occasionally peeking out into the world. She was getting bored waiting for Stevie to show up, and was contemplating making a dash for the trees to go search for him. She stopped contemplating, looked over the walls at the fort atop the hill, then made a mad dash for the closest area of the scrubby forest, heading for the thicker evergreens, scooping up a handful of snow for a snowball as she sprinted.

{Arcturus, I resent the fact that you referred to me and Stevie as 'firsties' 11 times in your last two posts.}
Kel had stayed behind the tree for a while, then finally realized she was facing away from the castle and both forts. Feeling exceedingly stupid, she snuck back towards where she thought the hill with her fort and the other students were, but ended up in a small valley. Extremely confused now, she went back to the patch of scuffed snow where she had met Arcturus. She followed his footsteps back to their fort, then hopped inside. Peeking over the top of the large rock, and not seeing anyone, the slightly snowy 'Puff pulled her head back down and set about making 'balls to keep her hands busy, and to replenish her nonexistent ammo.
'I wonder what happened, she thought, slightly worried for Stevie. She hoped he wasn't being help hostage. If he was, she'd have to either (a) try and rescue him, (b) go and get someone else to help her rescue him; or - and this was very dastardly - (c) leave him to his fate and camp here until Fay and Arcturus came for her.
Musing over this, Kel again popped her head up and over the ramparts of her fortress, her dark bomber hat contrasting with the white snow around her.

Kel blasted Arcturus in his wildly yelling face, then ducked behind a bush, planning this out. Since they had obviously noticed her and decided to do something about it, she decided to make it as big and flashy as possible to give Stevie the distraction he needed. She grabbed and handful of snow and tossed it at Arcturus, who was still charging for her, but since it wasn't packed, it made a miniature blizzard: just what Kel wanted. She tossed a few more handfuls of snow up into the slight gust of wind she felt on her flushed cheeks and ducked behind a tree, then slowly eased herself around it until she could peek around the cylindrical trunk to see the Ravenclaw.

Kel, confused but not arguing, grabbed a few snowballs and started down the hill, not drawing too much attention to herself, but making sure that she wasn't being so sneaky that Fay and Arcturus didn't actually notice her. She didn't want it to be obvious that she was being a decoy, but she didn't want to be invisible, either.

Kel saw what Stevie was doing, and kept firing 'balls at and over the large rock/circular mound of snow that the two older students were scheming inside as she scooted over to help him in between shots.
"What's the plan?" Kel asked in a low voice. "If, indeed, there is one," she added as an afterthought. "Do we just sit here and wait for them to come up and attack, or should we launch our own offensive?"
{OOC: Hee hee! If we arrange it right, they'll both arrive at each others' forts at the same time and no one will be there!}
