Hearing an odd kind of 'whoomph' sound, Kel turned to Stevie to ask him what was going on, hearing a sort of war whoop sound as she did so. She sighted Arcturus, sprinting back to his base, hollering as he did so. Kel automatically loosed a snowball at the back of his fiery red head and saw it splatter onto his ridiculous hair. She grabbed another one and shot it toward the rock where she knew Fay still was, making sure she could not give any help to the Scot, then quickly formed another ball out of the snow around her.

Kel noticed the more frequent snowballs now arriving from the older students' fort, but mostly ignored them, except when they came close enough to hit her. She glanced once or twice over to Stevie's progress, which was okay, even if some of his snowballs looked. . . odd. I mean, they were just going to throw them at people, so who cared how they looked?
Kel continued work on their walls, building them up higher and thicker, in anticipation of a charge or other offensive attack. 'How redundant.' she thought of this last comment.

Kel thought this over.
"Sounds good. Let's get higher up, though. C'mon." She crawled slowly back up the hill, a snowball in hand just in case either of the older students took a shot at her. She finally stopped at the crown of the small hill and pushed a hill of snow in front of her, a preliminary fort, for now.

Kel, laying in the snow, had seen Arcturus' crazy run-and-explode thing, and was trying to figure out where he had gone. Then it hit her, and she sprinted down the hill after the slightly staggering Stevie, seeing Fay emerge from the castle and join Arcturus in their fort!
She joined up with Stevie near the bottom of the hill and tugged him down behind a snow drift before Fay or Arcturus could see them. "We have the high ground now," she whispered. "What should we do with it?" she asked, still whispering, and stole a look over the fluffy snow of their hiding place at the rock and walls that used to be their stronghold.

"My sentiments exactly."
Kel broke and ran, dodging and weaving with three snowballs in her hands. She saw Stevie going right, so went wide left as the huge ball of snow rumbled down the hill toward their one-time fort. She ran, then suddenly dropped, hoping not to be hit. She popped back up again, ran, weaved, dropped, crawled a ways to the right, then jumped up and ran screaming bloody murder up the hill.

Kel snuck a peek over their growing ramparts, and saw a large lump of snow. She was confused for about three nanoseconds until she saw a snowball fly out from behind the snow, and then the snow moved together a bit. She was confused for about five more nanoseconds, then it hit her. Well, okay, not really, but she did start piling snow onto the small walls they had. They were situated by a good-sized rock, and she pulled the snow that had piled up in front of it into the small hill of snow she and Stevie were laying behind, then started forming curving walls around the rock so that there was a hollow in the lee side of the rock.
She nudged Stevie. "Look," she whispered, gesturing toward the lump of snow, which was randomly chucking snowballs in their general direction every so often. "I think he's trying to either make a wall or a bomb, and I don't want to know which one it is. Help me build up the wall." She continued working on the wall, using the easy-to-pack snow to form snowballs as well. She wanted to be prepared when the attack came.

Kel grabbed another handful of snow, having seen Arcturus plonk some poor, unsuspecting. . . was that Stevie? Kel threw caution to the winds and ran over to Stevie, dropping down beside him. "I say we team up, what d'you think?" she asked breathlessly, shoving more snow up onto their defenses.

"AIIIIIIIGH!!!!!!!!" Kel screamed. She whirled around, instinctively dropping her snowball and grabbing for her wand, tucked up her sleeve. She spotted a bright orange tuft of hair, and immediately assumed what had happened. She scooped up a handful of snow and pegged Arcturus. "That was cruel." she informed him, her fright gone, righteous anger taking its place, almost immediately replaced by laughter. "Ahahahaha! But totally perfect!" she guffawed. She couldn't be mad when she knew full well that was exactly what she would have done.

Kel, after changing into better snowball fight clothes - a large fur hat with folded-down earflaps, the same fleece-lined boots she had been wearing inside on the staircase, a sunshine-yellow scarf and jeans over leggings - stepped outside, taking in a deep breath of the slightly crisp late-winter air. She looked around, noticing that neither Fay nor Arcturus were there yet, then got a dastardly idea. She scooped up a handful of snow, then darted behind a large willow tree, packing the snow into a serviceable snowball. She aimed a quick peek around the base of the tree, but it was still clear.

((I'm baaa-aaack! Thanks for keeping me busy, you guys! Or rather, Kel! )) "Wheeee!" Kel skated clear of Isabelle and Lilianne, skating a small circle around the flat figure of Stevie - still obviously hyped up on sugar - and out a little more. She didn't go too far, though the ice was quite thick; she didn't want to fall through in ice skates, no way.

((OOC: I know I'm going to be leaving, but I decided I'd post here because Kel kinda has to be here. Just pretend she's participating, okay? And I give you all permission to control Tiria (she's my purple-eyed black half-Kneazle) if you want to play with her or something. Thanks!))
Kel trotted up to the snow-bank which Floyd had just hopped out of, looking around for his owner. She was getting cold, so she pulled down the flaps of her light brown bomber hat, hiding the warm plaid of the inside. She was dressed warmly in a warm chocolate-colored corduroy fleece-lined sweatshirt, thick, waterproof black gloves and jeans worn over her familiar fleece-lined boots. A forest-green scarf was looped around her neck, and she pulled this tighter about her neck to keep all the warm, cozy air inside.
Tiria padded over to the snow bank, which appeared to be moving slightly, and Kel curiously peered around the raven-colored cat as she nosed about in the fluffy snow. Kel spotted a familiar-looking boot, and she poked it.

Erm. . . well, okay, I know this is lame, but I haven't been doing anything 'cause no one else has. I kinda figured that since basically no one's been on for the last couple of days, I would just wait until more people have actually been on, and then try to initiate something. I mean, if only Redic and Althea and sometimes Elsbeth and Arcturus and I are even on, then what's the point of even posting something all new?!
I know, kinda crappy excuse. I hate that word. . . it's my reason, not excuse. So there. -feels slightly better- ~Katie
