(( I believe you might have meant bassist, Kel )) The dark haired man looked to Syhinad and winked. " d*mn straight. One, two, three, four!" ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYsZc7NUXJk Mind the violin, it ain't there) They both began to play (I've talked to Syhinad, it's not Godplaying), Syhinad's electric guitar playing away as his fingers nimbly danced across the strings. The bassist's hands were like wild birds the way they flew about the strings, as he began to sing. The song was very much more 'heavy' than the others, but the bassist and Syhinad worked well with each other, complimenting each other's voices. They seemed to be having a blast up front, the drums charmed by Syhinad to play away with them, allowing the drummer to enjoy the show. The bassist was grinning as they played and looked down to Elsbeth, giving her a playful wink.

Elsbeth watched, curiously, as the bassist and the Charms professor played. It was remarkable how well the complemented each other's instrument playing.
She was, again, curious as to the bassist's actions when he winked at her. She looked closely, and thought that he looked rather familiar, though she couldn't quite place him in her mind.
Odd, indeed.

Don realized too late that his smile might have given him away. He wished it hadn't, he wasn't ready to really face the consequences of doing something nice for someone.
As he quickly contemplated that, he waved back at Thomas who had ony just arrived at the Ball. Interesting costume, Angelo. he thought. It was an interesting costume, indeed.
And then, Alora chimed in saying she believed him, that he didn't know anything about her shoes. And then... 'Oh bollocks, she knows!'
"Err... I'll keep that in mind for next time, thanks." he said, nervously. Then as Alora turned her attention back to the profesor and the bassist, he had a little trouble deciding whether to flee the scene or to honestly and directly face up to what he had done.
He chose the latter. Touching her arm, lightly, to get her attention again, he spoke. "Yes, Alora, with a simple charm, I fixed your shoes."

((Oopsy!))
The music pulsed through Kel, and she was dancing, her whole body moving in time with the music as she watched the bassist ((Ha!)) and Professor Taikal totally jammin' up on the stage. They were awesome! She had never known that the Charms professor, while rather energetic, could play so well!

Bullocks, we're almost over...
He kept his playing up until the very end, smiling at some of the antics of the bassist, even closing his eyes and letting the sound of the music wash up and over them.
When the song had finished, he smiled, glancing back over to the bassist.
One more? I need to play one more. But this one I get to do the singing, it's a favorite of mine. That allright?
He looked a little tired, but more from putting in a lot of effort into his playing and putting on a show for all watching. He even altered his image again, pulling his wand from his sleeve, he flicked it to alter his hair making it long and black, and frizzy, and his his mad hatter hat to charmed to come to him turning into a black top hat. Jeans replaced his black pants, torn at the knee, and a Denim jacket replaced the black one on his back. He smiled, looking at the bassist.
You'll pick up the moment i start.
He started the very familiar beginning.

He glanced catching sight of someone in a golden stag helmet off somewhere, and his mind wondered at why her hands rested always in her sleeves, but then it stopped wondering as it turned its attention to more important matters, i.e the song.

She hadn't really been expecting him to admit it, she just guessed that he may have had something to do with it. Focusing her attention back to him, Alora said with a slight smile "Well, honestly, I just had a suspicion that you had something to do with it, and you caved... pretty quickly if I do say so myself"
Watching everyone around the hall gave Alora inspiration to dance, and she wasn't planning on going into it alone. "You can say no, because I expect that you would, but do you want to dance?" She asked nervously, quickly returning her gaze to the floor.

With a small smirk, Don answered the Ravenclaw girl. "Well, I have this nasty habit these days of doing things least expected of me. So I suppose my answer'll be yes. Let's."
And with that he didn't wait for Alora, again, and went right into the crowd to begin dancing. He moved in time with the music, doing whatever it was that people did when dancing to that kind of music. [OOC: I have no idea!]

Mary laughed at Stevie's display. "Arrr, to Davy Jones' Locker with yer ninja moves! I could ne'er do that!"
She then started again her outrageous dance. She mixed doing the Robot with some disco dancing, and added a few ballerina like moves to the mix. Her dancing was a bit clumsy, but the drunken act made up for it in comicality.
After a good display to the clapping and cheering crowd, she stopped again, pointing back at Stevie. She was slightly out of breath.

Stevie was ready to bust out his secret weapon. We was all hyped up on sugar, so maybe he could do it without crashing into something.
He started doing the worm.
he had practiced it before at his house, just because he thought it looked cool. He never really got the hang of it until a couple days before leaving to go to Hogwarts. He did it a couple times, then stood up. He did the wave once, but at the end of it, pointed at Mary.

Isabelle had been spending a good while bragging about her costume before she noticed both her sister and Mary had slipped off.
"Uh. Where's Mary?"
"I don't know, she went to see other people a while back, I lost track of her." said Sera.
"Well let's move around, and see other people. No one's invited us to dance yet... Wait, is Alora dancing with Kennedy now?"
"Looks like. "
"Ugh. Seriously. Kennedy."
"Hey, maybe she'll turn the frog into a prince! He's already a good looking frog, anyway..."
"Eh, whatever..."
The girls navigated the great hall for a while, until they noticed a gathering near the snack tables. They went over there and slipped through the crowd to see what it was about.
Isabelle gasped in shock and Sera laughed. Their friend Mary was engaged in a fierce battle of moves with a first year. She looked quite ridiculous, improvising her dance moves while acting like a drunk pirate. The crowd looked quite amused at the display.
"Oh for Merlin's sake... I can't believe her... Come on..." Isabelle tried to drag Sera away from the crowd, hoping not to get associated with the embarassing friend. She stopped however as she caught a conversation between a group of older Gryffindors.
"Wow, Stevie's got the moves!"
"Saving Gryffindor's honor, he is!"
"That girl, isn't she in your year, Fred?"
"Yeah, she is, that's Mary Prawett."
Isabelle's face was struck in horror as her friend was recognized, and she tried once again to slip off before she could be noticed.
"You know, she's a pretty good dancer. Not bad looking either..."
"Yeah, I like a girl who's not afraid to make a fool out of herself..."
Isabelle was struck dumb again, her mouth falling wide open as she stared at Sera, who frowned while twisting her mouth uncomfortably before she grabbed Isabelle's hand and dragged her away...

Since she had gotten slightly separated from the dance-off, Kel could only see when Mery did her moves, because she was tall enough to show through the gaps Kel was peering through. She didn't see Stevie, but she could hear people cheering, and one person said "Yeah, Stevie the Worm! Haha!" so Kel got a pretty good idea what was going on.

He saw a group starting to form, and he raised an eyebrow. People were clapping, cheering, doing things people do. But in a circle. He wondered faintly what was going on, but he decided not to go over there. It wasn't like anyone was doing the worm or anything.
He walked over to a table, closer to the band, and sipped more pumpkin juice. He had stayed silent this whole time, and he hated it. Hated. But everyone seemed to be in a conversation. Except him.

Watching him walk away, Alora felt a bit weird about how nice he was being to her, but at this moment in time all she wanted to do was dance.
Following him to the dance floor, she couldn't help but laugh when she saw him dance. His timing was perfect, but his dance moves weren't. "Maybe you should slow down a bit." She said, as she leaned forward for him to hear what she was saying.

Elsbeth continued her wandering of the Hall, as the Charms professor and the mysterious dark haired bassist played their tune.
She smiled and waved at students and staff as she made her rounds, and then she came upon the school Librarian, Daviv Radaris.
Smiling in greeting, she gave a hearty "Hello Daviv!" and stepped closer for a conversation.

"Ah, Elsbeth, greetings!" He said, grinning. Finally, some conversation. Though most were younger than him, he acted like he was even younger, like a student just out of Hogwarts. He also looked half his age, which was a very good thing. Though, he had already settled here.
"I like the party." He nodded in approval. He always liked dressing up, and Halloween in general. He took another sip of the pumpkin juice. This stuff was good.
He got an urge to shout out 'FREE BIRD', but he didn't. It would ruin it. Or, they'd just play Free Bird and everything would get more awesome, but he ultimately decided against it.
