Draelynn's new home is a very cozy little place, with Hagrid's old, huge bed near one wall, and herbs, dead animals and cooking instruments hanging from the weathered rafters. Draelynn had touched up his new home with knitted blankets (made by him), a cheery lighting arrangement which consisted of magical candles that dimmed and lit themselves depending on the sun's height in the sky and a myriad of plants in pots that were charmed to water the plants periodically. There were dark green curtains over the windows, filtering the bright but not particularly warm sunlight of early September into dim, greenish light that enhanced the sense of being lost in the forest that the dried leaves and stems dangling from the ceiling and the pots of herbs and medicinal plants on available flat surfaces already lent to the large room. And the books! Draelynn had books on science, plants, animals, forests, medicine, astronomy, geography, geology and tons of other subjects, including fiction, biographies, fantasy, sci-fi, non-fiction and assorted textbooks. The books that weren't on the specially curved and made bookshelves lining the room were on more shelves under the Grounskeepers' bed, in small stacks on small tables next to two large armchairs set by the gap in the bookshelves for the window, piled on top of Draelynn's clothes chest, which resided at the foot of the giant-sized bed, and lying open on the worn wooden table where Draelynn did his studying, or research if you'd rather call it that. The large heavy door is propped open by a long, slim piece of polished driftwood set into the ground for this express purpose. Draelynn himself sat on the stone doorstep, studying a sketch he made earlier in the year of the Aloe Vera plant, comparing to professional sketches in a book laying beside him on the doorstep.

"Hmm..." escaped a young boy's mouth as he looked around. He didn't see anything belonging to Shellivia, but he stayed away from where Shellivia's house actually WAS. Sure, her house probably was near, but Stevie hadn't found it yet. He will... One day...
But for now, he decided the Groundskeeper would be the next best thing. And here, he actually knew who lived here. Which is why he was here. He gave a few knocks, hoping that the Groundskeeper was here.
He had to tell someone about this... Thing. He had barely slept at all! Thinking about sleep, he yawned. Great. He hoped he didn't fall asleep standing.
(Hope it was alright posting here and not making a seperate thread >>)

((OOC: That's fine, I'll just pretend Draelynn is inside doing something, seeing as it's wintertime and not really a great time to be sketching outside.))
The door opened promptly and Draelynn stood in a green jumper and rugged jeans looking mildly surprised to see someone standing on his front stoop knocking on his door. "Hello there. How can I help you, Mister. . ." he questioned Stevie, still looking slightly disoriented.

"I need to talk to you... I think it would be best privately... Can I come in?" Stevie asked. He thought it would be for the better if he hadn't talked about it to other students. It might cause a lot of paranoia. Though, maybe that would have been for the better? Well, still, he would want to Groundskeeper's opinion on the beast first.

"Of course, come right in."
The Groundskeeper opened the door to his small home wider, and the delicious smell of chicken soup filled the crisp air outside the hut. There was a crackling fire in the grate, with a bubbling pot of soup hung over it. The books were in neat order, except for one on animal tracks that lay open on the table next to some drawings Draelynn had made of sketches he had seen in the Forbidden Forest and on Hogwarts' grounds.
Draelynn went to the table, putting the drawings into the book where the relevant tracks were, then shut the book and put it on a rare empty space on a bookshelf. He turned back to Stevie asking, "Would you like some soup? Or tea if you're not hungry."

"Um... Sure!" He said. It really didn't matter to him, but he thought he would accept the generosity of him.
"Okay... So... There was this... Thing. It was somewhere out near the edge of the forest, creeping about and being creepy. But, with some moves, it seemed to be in a lot of pain and sorta... Moaned. It looked like a big, mutated cat with... Things coming off its shoulders. It was late and it woke me up, so I really couldn't get s good glimpse of the color. But its eyes were definitely a bright green color. I figured you may know what it is... But should I tell the Headmistress?" Stevie said it all slowly, recalling the previous night. Though, for the life of him, he couldn't remember Elsbeth's name at the moment.

Draelynn set a heavy pottery bowl filled to the brim with soup in front of Stevie, along with a good-sized mug of sweet tea. He listened intently, though Stevie was being a bit vague.
"Hmmmm. . ." he mused, thinking over all the large cats he knew of. It sounded kind of like a cougar, or maybe a mountain lion. . . but that whole 'mutated' thing, along with the 'things hanging off its shoulders' didn't sound at all right. Draelynn was worried.
"Yes, telling Headmistress Pierce might be a good idea. In fact, it's a very good idea. We should do that now, in fact, unless you can think of anything else really distinctive about this cat-like creature."
Draelynn remained calm, not trying to scare the boy, who was obviously already disturbed.

"Not really. I could barely see it..." He sighed, and tried a bit of soup. It was hot. Really hot. But, at least he was woken up now. And plus, it was pretty good. He tried a sip of tea, it was good as well. And sweet.
He grinned.
"Thanks! I probably needed that... Didn't get much sleep."

Draelynn looked slightly disappointed that Stevie hadn't managed to see anything else, but wasn't exactly surprised. He felt sorry for the young boy; obviously, the reason he hadn't slept well was the creature he had seen. But he was looking a little more chipper than he had a few moments ago. Obviously, the tea was doing some good for the lad.
"Well, let's go see if the Headmistress can do anything about this strange creature." Draelynn said, getting up. "You may take the tea if you like. I guess it must have been pretty creepy, huh?" he asked kindly, grabbing his coat from the back of the chair he had been sitting on. He also donned a fur-lined hat and some thick, hardy looking gloves.
((OOC: If you want, you can post to say that Stevie walked off with Draelynn, holding his tea or whatever. I'll start the post in the Headmistress' office right now.))

"Yeah... It was..." He said, getting up, holding his tea. He liked it, though he hadn't tasted anything like it. He grinned once at Draelynn, then followed him...
(Just a small post. Hope you don't mind >>)

((OOC: That's all right. I'm just gonna end this, since there isn't really anything else to say. except:))
Draelynn ushered Stevie out, closing the door firmly behind them. He flicked his wand at the solid wooden door and the latch on the inside slid across the crack, sealing the hut from unwanted visitors.
He led Stevie across the grounds and through the castle to the Headmistress' office.
