The day had come for Elsbeth and Aesir's date, and she wasn't as nervous as she had initially thought she would be. Her plan had worked out, and she was sure he had no clue where they were going. It would be a complete surprise.
They were walking down the main street in the village of Hogsmeade, and they would be coming up to the desired location any moment. Aesir would have no clue what hit him.
She pulled at his arm as they walked. "We're almost there!" she said, a bit of awkward excitement showing in her voice.

Aesir walked alongside the Headmistrss, grinning like a fool.
A lucky fool, thank you.
He held Elsbeth's arm as he looked about Hogsmeade. "Well, after all this time I'm looking forward to when we can sit down and enjoy each others company. Been a few months you'd promised, my dear. And I've been hopin' it would be an unforgettable evening."
He dared to slip his arm around her waist. "So, tell me. Should I call you Elsbeth, or Headmistress? Cuz if so, then I'd like ter be called Sir. Makes me feel dignified." he said jokingly.

"Well, Aesir, I should call you child for the way you act sometimes, but how would that sound, the headmistress out on a date with a child, hm?" she answered, the same joking tone in her voice.
Elsbeth didn't move away as Aesir slipped his arm around her. She continued walking by his side, contentedly, anticipating the view of Madam Puddifoot's coming up in the near vicinity.
"And, call me Elsbeth," she said with a coy smile, "Headmistress makes me seem old and boring."

"On a date with a child? You know that's kind of illegal in many places of the world..." he began, giving her a mildly grossed out look. He winked. "And please, old and boring? I think you make it sound sexy and smart."
He fixed her with a coy grin. "So, what'd ye have in mind tonight? A little dancin', some singing and drinkin', a lovely supper..."
It'd have been nicer if we'd have stayed nice an cozy at the castle. Stayed by the fire, have some firewhiskey...

As they neared the corner of the street, at the intersection between Hogsmeade and High Street, Elsbeth nearly squeeled with glee as the front door to Madam Puddifoot's tea shop came into direct view. This was going to be too much fun to watch.
Pulling him into the building, she said "We're here!" and didn't elaborate further. The decor and atmosphere would tell him everything he needed to know.
Inside was small and cramped with decor on the tacky side of frilly (such as floating golden cherubs throwing pink confetti). It was a very girly place, and a rather tacky one, at that. For the cutesy type, who dragged their boyfriends everywhere without a complaint from them.
She shook her head, slightly, to clear her mind of the motives and plans running through her head, and looked around the room with a playful smile. Finally, her gaze landed expectantly on Aesir. She wondered what his reaction was.

Aesir stood stock still like a deer in the headlights of a truck. HIs eyebrows raised, and eyes wide, he stood with slack jawed shock at the girliosity of the establishment.
No...
The frills, the pink-
No.
The matching tablecloths and placemats-
No!
and the cute sets of-
NO!!!
Tea.
In a dazed stupor, Aesir looked about the room, hoping it would change into a pub and it was all just a bad dream.
Please oh please oh please turn into a Pub! I promise, I won't pinch any of the waitresses behinds, I won't exchange numbers or anything! Please, just don't be a girly tea shop in the name of all things sacred!
"It's...uh...'it's very....very pretty."

With a fake smile plastered across her face, Elsbeth responded. "Wonderful!" she added a giggle, just for good measure. Yes, this would be a great night, indeed.
"Let's sit over there, in the booth!" she said, without waiting for a reply, and walked over to the awaiting table. She slid in and placed a frilly napkin on her lap. She clasped her hands together and leaned them on the table, and looked up at Aesir. "So, what do you want? Tea, tea, or tea?" She had that wicked gleam in her eyes again.

A gun, a knife, rope or a cliff. I don't care which.
Seeming to be at a loss, Aesir looked around somewhat franticly as he laughed forcibly. "Well, uh...let's see...uh, I think I'll...uh. Maybe just have...Er...You know what? Ladies first, ye order first. It's only polite."
Crap crap crap crap crap crap crap. Never anger this one again. Ever. Noted.

Elsbeth stifled a chuckle; she didn't want to be rude, of course.
Instead, she signalled over the waitress, who just so happened to be Madam Puddifoot, herself.
Madam Puddifoot was quite old, and smelled like a grandmother. She had sickly sweet looking pink hair, and thick pink rimmed glassesperched on the tip of her nose. Her outfit matched the tackiness of her shop exactly.
"Yes, I'll have a mint tea, with a side of chocolate tea buscuits, please?" Madam Puddifoot smiled and jotted the order down, then turned to Aesir. "And what'll you have, sugar?" the waitress asked. She glanced at Aeisr, to let him know he should order something.

He was at a complete blank. He folded his hands looking to the waitress, then to Elsbeth. The waitress, to Elsbeth. The window, the waitress, to Elsbeth.
Well, their's always hope for spontaneous human combustion.
"Get me yer finest and most expensive things on yer menu. I want ter try yer best please, though I do believe nothing else afterwards will ever rival this fine establishment, Madame." he said as sickeningly sweet and friendly as possible, putting on a large toothy smile.

'Oh dear,' she though, 'He's really out of his comfort zone, isn't he?'
She grinned, not caring that all she had been doing so far was smiling her pretty little head off. 'Yes, let's see what happens if one of those floating golden cherubs comes over here with some confetti and throws it at him...' she cackled, on the inside.
"Aww, that was so sweet of you. I'm sure you'll remember this tea shop forever and cherish it for always!" she cried, as she placed her hand over his in a sweet gesture.
Madam Puddifoot returned soon after with her tea and biscuits, and a pink mixture of cotton candy flavored tea with cinnimon swirls and chocolate shavings. A plate of sugared half moon cookies accompanied his pink tea, and their order was placed quietly on the table. "Enjoy, dearies." said the waitress, winking at Aesir. "I won't disturb you, I know how much you young folk like your privacy"
'Wait for it, MacLeod, ordering something will be the least of your discomfort.'

Still smiling horribly, Aesir tested one of the drinks and cookies.
Dear merciful Lord, this thing is sweeter than winning the lotery three times in a row! I can feel me gut rotting away as we speak.
"So, Elsbeth, ye come here often? Seems like yer kind of place. Mind ye it seems a mite tacky and somewhat superficial with all those little pretty things floating about. A little stuffy though in here, don't ye think?" he said, his good manners being put the the test as he tried his best to remain civil.

"Indeed I do," she sipped at her tea, trying not make a face at the horrid taste of it. She despised tea, really. "Mmm... good tea."
She giggled, again. "Stuffy? No, not at all. Nice and cozy, I think."
Scarfing down a cookie, she avoided taking another sip of her tea, and kept quiet while she munched. At least she couldn't go wrong with chocolate tea biscuits.
Looking past Aesir, discreetly, she noticed a golden cherub gliding over their way ever so slowly. She suppressed an evil smile, and concentrated on her cookies again.

I should'v known better. She doesn't like me at all. it was all just some fib, some act ter lure me out here and humiliate me.
That's cuz yer a worthless Squib, Aesir. Why would a woman like her, a witch like herself want anything to do with you. You're pathetic.
Bugger off.
Yer lucky she's even devoted this much time and attention to ye, even if it's just ter embarass ye in front of all these people.
Aesir chomped on some cookies and downed some of the vile tea in silence. The fine hairs on the back of his neck prickled as he felt something approach.
Oh no.

Seemingly out of nowhere, the golden cherub sprang up behind Aesir, and threw a fistful of pink, red, and white confetti over him.
Elsbeth covered her mouth with her hand and tried to stifle a laugh. It didn't work. She laughed at the situation, to see such a ...manly man covered in pink confetti; what a sight!
"Oh... Oh dear. You might want to brush that off."
