"Yes, Sir." Said Lilianne as she got up, putting Dinsdale in his favorite spot inside the hood of her cloak, and then picking up her bag. She turned to the girl who had been helping her out. "Thank you."
"Anytime, dear, you just tell me if you need anything!" the girl said, smiling warmly.
Lilianne walked over to Stevie. She made a motion to touch his shoulder, but refrained at the last second.
"Good night, Stevie... I'll see you later..."
As Lilianne was seeing Stevie, the older girl walked over to Nicholas, and adressed him in a low voice.
"Sir, if you're taking her back to the hospital wing, you might want to have the doctors check her out. She's bruised all over. It doesn't look serious, but some of those cuts looked like they stung a lot when I helped her clean up. She's so upset, I'm not even sure she realizes she's physically hurt..."
The girl raised an eyebrow, taking a step back before she went on. "You might want to get them to take a look at that, too", she said, pointing at Nicholas' forehead.

Lilianne looked up to Nicholas, feeling at lost.
She could only hope that Stevie was simply tired from all of the night's scary events, like many other students.
She though that maybe a night's rest was all that was needed for Stevie to go back to his usual, hyper self.
That would at least make one of us that feels better, she though gloomily, as she didn't see much hope for herself, not unless the night's events could be magically erased.

Lilianne stared at Stevie, looking very worried, though she winced slightly a couple of times as the older girl caught some bad knots in her hair.
"Woops, sorry. Man, your hair's really tangled, honey! I better be careful or I'll tear it all off from your head!" She joked in a low voice.
Lilianne ignored the girl and spoke up in a weak, troubled voice.
"Did you get hurt, Stevie?"

Lilianne looked up when Nicholas adressed Stevie. She had been worrying about him, but she was so tired and emotionnaly shaken that even simply talking was straining at this point. She was glad Nicholas questionned him for her.

After some time had passed since she went upstairs, Lilianne came back down with the older girl.
She was now wearing a fresh set of clothes, and all the blood, tears, dirt and food had been washed from all over her. The only signs left that she had been involved in the attacks were the nasty rashes all over her face and arms, and her gloomy mood. She was still clutching Dinsdale against her chest, and she held her schoolbag in her other hand.
The older girl guided her up to an empty couch where they both sat together as Nicholas was still reassuring the students, and the girl started carefully untangling Lilianne's hair with a brush.

An older student girl whom Lilianne didn't know walked up to her after hearing their exchange. She gently brushed some of Lilianne's hair away from her face and took a good look at her.
"I think we should get you cleaned up before you go back to see your sister, honey. No offense, but you look like quite the mess. Understandable with what you've been through, you poor brave girl. Come on, I'll help you get into a warm bath and then you can put some clean clothes on."
Lilianne, who winced at the word 'brave', nodded to the girl, who put her arm around her shoulder and guided her upstairs to the girls dormitories.
Lilianne glanced back at Stevie on her way to the stairs, still clutching Dinsdale. She wondered what was wrong with him, but figured she'd talk to him later, after Nicholas had had some time to let the Gryffindors know about what had been going on.

Lilianne went wide eyed at Nicholas' proposition. She hadn't expected him to change his mind, and had been wondering how she'd manage to endure until she could go back.
"Of course I want to go back, Sir." she said in her tired voice. "If you'll only give me a few minutes to get a few things and..."
She glanced behind her as she spoke, and saw the entire common room staring at Nicholas, waiting and whispering to each other.
Well I suppose you won't be leaving right away, anyway...

Lilianne stepped aside as Nicholas' children ran to him. A group of students gathered around her, flooding her with questions about her and her sister's well being.
"I'm okay...", she muttered simply as she moved away from the group and straight for Stevie's couch.
She picked up Dinsdale, who had remained near Stevie, not knowing who else to go to as he was wondering where his owner was. The hedgehog let out a worried squeak as she raised him to her face and burried her nose in his soft neck.
She glanced at Stevie for a bit over Dinsdale's back, but didn't say a word.
When Professor Lannsman adressed her again, she walked back slowly to him.
"Downstairs?"

Stevie could feel a tiny little wet thing poking his forehead.
Dinsdale the hedgehog was standing on the arm of the couch, looking at him inquisitivelly. He looked worried and confused.

[ooc: Not that don't want to reply right now, but I'm thinking that Lilianne probably won't make it back to the common room on that night. Not unless someone drags her out of the hospital wing by force. ]

Lilianne went through the rest of her presents, also mostly from her relatives. She got some food, more books from several aunts and uncles from her mother's side of the family, and her godparents had sent her a very nice set of Wizard's Chess.
When Stevie ran off to put his gifts away, Lilianne quickly went and did the same, running back with Dinsdale in her arms to meet with Stevie.
She kept the peculiar tiny book in her pocket.
"Let's go then!"

Lilianne still looked pretty confused and distracted as Stevie spoke. After looking at the card on her gift, she unwrapped it, looking a bit apprehensive, as if she was expecting it to burst into flames.
It was a tiny book, small enough to fit inside her palm. She looked at it's cover, then flipped through a few pages, holding it so that Stevie couldn't see what it was about.
Her face looked stuck between a frown and a smile for a moment, then she stuffed the little book, and the card in the kangaroo pocket of her sweater.
She acknowledged Stevie again, though she still looked lost in though. "...Yes, well, I'll be glad to have you with us. We can go once we're done going through our gifts. I'm almost done now..."
"... Who have you gotten gifts from?" She asked, after a short pause.

"Well, would you join us for breakfast? I'm sure Isabelle wouldn't mind... And I suppose we could see what she had planned, and if you're interested... I mean if you want to spend time with us for Christmas..." She added, now sounding like her usual insecure self.
She reached for the few remaining gifts as she continued. "Maybe she'll want us to take our pets to play in the snow by the lake, that'd be..."
Lilianne's voice died down as she looked at the tag of the small gift she had just picked up. Obviously, she wasn't expecting it.

"Pleasure. I hope you like the fudge, its a french-canadian recipe, my mom showed me how to make it." She giggled. "I knew sugar was your one weakness."
When offered, Lilianne reached for the beans. "Ooo, Bertie Botts, I love those. They're always quite an adventure... I just hope I don't get bacon, I nearly got sick on them once..."
She laughed again when Stevie reacted to the jalapeno. "Hey, I kinda like those." She ate the one she had taken from the box. "... Ew, grass."
She then went back to her gifts, unwrapping a gift from her sister, a witch beauty kit that she stared at puzzically for a while, and the presents from her parents, a nice new set of artist tools, and several novels.
"What were you planning on doing today, Stevie? I'm supposed to meet up with my sister at breakfast, and she'd said that she would spend time with me today, but I have no idea what she has planned..."

Lilianne was now wearing a handknitted sweater with a picture of a clabbert on a broom on the front. She also had a hat, mittens and two scarves that she was all trying on at the same time, gifts from her maternal grandparents.
She giggled as she looked at Floyd trying to fit himself into the sweater, and tried to offer the little guy a hand fitting his paws in the holes.
"I bet you'll make Din jealous, he can't really wear shirts!"
