Elsbeth was enjoying herself, watching the band perform. When they got to another lively song, though, she noticed something peculiar. As the bassist sang the first verse, he was looking directly at her. Strange, indeed...
The song ended, and Elsbeth clapped happily; it was a great song.
She tried not to laugh as Syhinad tipped his hat in greeting, merely responding with an "Indeed, it is a fine 'eve,' enjoying myself immensely. Glad to see you're having a good time, as well."
Before she could be pulled into further conversation with the quirky Charms professor, though, he got sidetracked and puilled onto the stage to perform with the only member of the band still there.
She watched with interest.

Kel clapped and laughed with the rest of the students, then grabbed a cup of water when they took a break. She couldn't tell exactly, but that bassist looked familiar with his helmet off. . . .
She looked up at the stage, surprised to see the Charms teacher up there with the naggingly familiar bass player, and they seemed to be preparing to play! She wanted to see this. She edged closer, managing to get quite close and heard one of the men say something about the afterlife. "Huh?" she said to herself, but they were going to start playing any second!

Lilianne had been enjoying the music a lot, and also the snacks. She also enjoyed the company of those three classmates, they were always nice to her. Maybe better company than her sister, who could be a bit hard to endure, as much as she loved her...
Lilianne looked across the Great Hall to spot her sister and her friends. She spotted Isabelle and Sera, still gossiping along, it seemed. Mary was not with them, though. She looked around, and nearly jumped in surprise where she realized she was coming right at her.
Mary had been hoping from group to group, goofing around playing pirate and dancing along to the music. She had finally spotted Lilianne back and went over to meet her classmates.
"Yarrr! There ye are, matey! I though ye'd fell off the ship! How bout ye introduce me to yer mates thar... SHIVER ME TIMBERS! Ninja! Me sworn enemy!" She jumped up in comedic surprise as she noticed Stevie, and unsheathed her sword, flinging it around dramatically.
Lilianne backed up nervously, worried her weird friend would get her into trouble.
"Arrr, ours is a fight we must end once and for all, ninja! I challenge ye!... To a danceoff!" Mary yelled at Stevie, catching the attention of the people nearest.
Lilianne strongy considered slipping under the tablecloth.

The librarian quickly stumbled in, having to accompany one student there. He had been reading a book, as had Daviv. When he noticed it was time for the Halloween Ball, in fact, he was really, really late for it, the student had already taken off running. He had constructed a suit previously as an 18th century King, wearing a very nice and seemingly real costume. He hadn't dyed his hair white, so he had to go as a king with black hair, and luckily, there was one. He simple strode in, heading straight for some pumpkin juice. He did so, and drank, leaning against a wall and watching the band.

Stevie blinked at her display, and held the dagger out, only to have it fall again. But then, she said danceoff.
"Mkay. Bring it!" Came the reply from the ninja, grinning behind his mask. He was going to have fun. Lots of fun. Of course, it would involve flailing and lots of spinning, but Stevie would be fine with it.
Remembering his secret surprise, Stevie quickly consumed the cookies. Now, he was sugar high.
Uh-oh.
He started hopping in place, motioning for Mary to go first.

Mary grinned at Stevie, revealing a tooth she had transfigured to look golden. She stepped to the table, grabbing a bottle of butterbeer, and downing half of it in one swing. She let out a throating "Arr..." as if she had just swigged half a bottle of rum, then slammed the bottle back on the table.
She sheated her sword, and, motionning for Stevie to follow her, if he dared, she moved further from the table, moving around a little tipsy-turvey. As the two guitarists on stage started their playoff, she started to dance, if you could call it that.
She was swaying and flailing her arms around as if she was trying to stand on a ship's prow during a storm... or as if she was drunk. She almost looked as if she was going to fall over a couple of times, but would catch her balance again.
Lilianne forgot her worries as she could help but laugh. This was pretty fun to watch, and a lot of surrounding students seemed to think so as well.

Stevie hopped along, following her. He seemingly couldn't stop hopping.
"C'monc'monc'mon let's go!"

Orynn turned on his heel for just a moment, arms crossed, and stared at the band members with a rather disapproving look that said he did not appreciate being singled out. The song went on without any other such acts though, so Orynn nodded his approval and turned back around and exited the Great Hall.

Kel, hearing something behind her, turned. Stevie was dancing. Kel rubbed her eyes, then looked again. No, he seemed to be hopping around like a maniac. He was dancing (if you could call it that) with a girl who seemed to be a fifth-or-sixth-year wearing a pirate suit, but she also seemed to be drunk. Or crazy. Kel couldn't tell. She laughed at them, seeing Lilianne across the circle the crowd around the flailing ninja and pirate had created. There actually seemed to be a beat to the flailing and lurching. It actually corresponded with the music!

Thomas walked into the ball looking scruffy and disgruntled. His costume was a ripped and worn shirt with a heavy metal band on the back, and a pair of ripped and torn cargo pants with various chains belted and strewn around the legs. A large pair of black and gray ears had sprouted from his head, and his face was elongated into a snout. His hands were a pair of large furry paws and through a pair of well worn and torn up sneakers fur could be seen peeking through. A large and rather poofy tail was protruding from his backside. He made a bee line for the refreshments and made a quick wave to Donall who he saw on the dance floor before wandering around and making small talk with some of the older girls.

You've done it again Syh, Left up right in the middle of what could have been a nice conversation.
He sighed slightly to himself, working a rift.
Ah well, hopefully we can manage to get a nice number or two out, i'll have to make it up with a nice glass of pumpkin juice or something, or a promise for something else, i just hope I'll rememeber.
He stopped his tuning, and his general small strums and looked the bassist dead on.
"He lived, he loved, he rocked?"
He smirks lightly and then begins playing the beginning chords, his fingers moving easily across the neck of the instrument. He's talented, it shows, as each note is struck true and simple.

She watched him as he spoke and couldn't help notice the smile that had suddenly spread across his face. "If you are lying, you are a tremendously good at it. Although, one thing you should bare in mind for the future is the fact that you shouldn't smile." She replied with a slight smile. Moving towards him slightly, she whispered "It gives away your game." Quickly finishing her sentance, she turned her back on Donall and watched the band.

(OOC: Pstt, Kel, Mary is a 6th year, not a first )Mary went on her crazy dance for a good while as Professor Taikal played. The skirt of her dress swirled around her madly as she pulled off a series of dance moves that couldn't be sorted out into a singl dancing style. It was quite a chaotic show. A small crowd had started to gather around them, clapping and cheering. As the first bridge of the song neared it's end, Mary suddenly stopped flailing around and pointed both hands dramatically at Stevie, inviting him to take his turn in the spotlight. She now simply kept swaying lightly in rythm to the music, so she could see what the ninja could do. Lilianne was now hopping along with the small crowd as she laughed and cheered with them. "Come on, Stevie!""Arrr, what's this mutiny? Aren't ye supposed to be on my side?" Mary threw back at her, grinning.

Stevie hopped around still, but started to spin. He soon was spinning so fast, everything was a blur to him. Eventually, he got bored of jumping and spinning, he simply fell down onto his shoulder and started running around in circles, but on the ground, on his side. It was truly a strange sight that was accompanied by a couple cheers, but Stevie just wanted to waste his energy. He lifted himself up on his hands, spun his legs in front of him until he was in a crouching position, then stood up, still dizzy. He almost walked over to something and crashed into it, but he had managed to stop and point shakily at Mary, shaking his head as he did so.

((OOC: Oops! I edited my former post. Sorry!))
Clapping as she laughed so hard she could barely stand, Kel was having a great time. Stevie was obviously on a sugar high, and she wasn't sure how long the pirate was going to be able to keep up with him. She glanced behind her at the stage to where professor Taikal was jammin' with the. . .'Darn! He's so familiar! If only I could see him better!'. . .bassist.
