Syhinad gives the candies to the children and then looks back to the people he's with.
"Aye, I remember Orynn. But right now that's the least of my worries. I'm more concerned with seeing if i can still boogey down like I used to when at the pubs in Manchester and even here during the festive balls of the school!
I'll have to loose my hat, but i think I'll live."
Syhinad laughs and looks up at the stage, quirking an eyebrow.
"My my, that voice sounds familiar, I was wondering where he was, but now my insufferable curiosity is satiated for a little while. Do have a good evening you three, and the little ones too, tell me you should join Nicolas, i know it's not your forte of style, but you were pretty good on your feet i recall, besides, to dance to this is easy, you jump up and down and bump other people. I saw it at another pub once when we were trying to reverse a poorly cast reverb charm on the speakers there... almost blew the roof off the place..."
He laughs again.
"Anyway, I'm being long winded, and I'll need my breath for some dancing. Take care."
He bids his leave and walks out onto the dance floor, where one or another older student might be dancing properly to this music and joins in.

When the music started, Shellivia jumped a little and her wings flared slightly in a realistic manner. Calming down once she realized what the noise was she smiled pleasantly Syhinad when he approached. She listened politely and gave some distance to the pair when they started discussing past events. Wandering through the room she smiled and nodded to a few of the students but normally kept to the side lines, not really mingling in the crowd much.

With a nod, she began to walk towards him."Bands good, they look better close up." Alora told him with a quick smile. Turing to look up at the stage, after a while her eyes were drawn back to her shoes. With a twist on her heels, she faced him and asked"You don't happen to know how my shoes magically became, well, better. Do You?" Raising her eyebrows as she spoke, she knew that he had something to do with it. It was the playful smile he had given her, it gave his game away.Anyway, shoes don't magically change without magic.

Nodding as Orynn spoke, Eslbeth then answered. "Very well, then. If this isn't your 'scene' you are not required to stay the entire night; there are other staff members present for chaperoning."
Smiling, she rose from her perch at the table. "I'm going to go check out the band a little more closely. And maybe look for Aesir, I haven't seen him all night."
And with a quick "Happy Halloween," she bounced off to the stage.

Dónall watched the band, trying not to laugh at what he had secretly done for the Ravneclaw girl. If he ignored it, maybe he wouldn't really feel the positive effect that doing something for someone gave him. It felt so strange to him.
At Alora's question, though, he turned to her and attempted to hide his actions. "Me? I haven't the faintest idea how your shoes magically got better. Maybe one of your Housemates decided to practice some Transfiguration or Charms or something, though why one would want to do some practicing and schoolwork at a time like this is beyond me... " He was babbling and a small smile itched to come out, and he was too late to stop it; a smile spread across his lips.
He merely turned his gaze back to the band. The less he said, the less of a chance of her realizing it had been him who tampered with her shoes.

Syhinad was so into the dancing, and he was good at it, or as good as anyone can be at moshing. He also was doing some other single and solo steps, catching the headmistress coming towards, he broke off to intercept.
"Allo me lady, How be you this fine eve'?"
He tips his hat in a silly manner, very much the character of the mad hatter.

Orynn saluted the Headmistress as she walked off. He then exhaled deeply before standing up and pulling his shirt down. he looked around him to see if anyone had their eyes on him. He subconsciously rubbed his tongue over his elongated fangs and then shut his lips over them again.
He then lowered his gaze, scratched his forehead and began walking heavily and quickly towards the exit.

Towards the front of the Hall, where the band was playing Seven Deadly Sins was a small area devoted to moshing. It first began as an area dominated by some of the older Weasley boys, but soon grew to a larger group of young men and daring girls and even a singular Mad Hatter. The song continued on directly into another one, judging by the chorus to be the Drunken Lullabies tune as requested by an audience member. The bassist was grinning the whole time. Once the song was over, the guitarist put down his guitar and picked up an accordion while the banjo girl stepped up alongside the bassist, to where they quickly set up another mike. " Alright, ladies an' gents. So, this next one ain't gonna be as rambunctious as the others but never fear, there's plenty more ter come. So don't fret. This next song is one that I particularly like, strikes close ter home, so without further ado," the bassist said for the first time that night, his voice carrying a familiar tone. " I present to ye The Son Never Shines On Closed Doors." The banjo began to play the song, it's pace slow and slightly mournful, the bassist's once rowdy attitude settled to a more bittersweet calm. ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiQ-Q895WmE&feature=related This is the original, obviously it doesn't sound exactly like this but you get the idea ) There were a few moments of quiet from the band as they switched up to their old spots again, along with he guitarist claiming his original instrument. " Alright, now that we;re all done with that, whaddye say we move onto something a little more upbeat?" he asked, his voice beginning to regain some of it's earlier enthusiasm he used so much in his singing. A fair amount of students gave out a cheer and the bassist turned to nod at the drummer. The drummer began to play the drums as the bassist looked over to the other band members. " Are you ready, Steve?" The drummer nodded. " Andy?" The girl nodded. " Mick?" The guitarist smiled. " Alright, fellas, let's go!" And so they began to play Ballroom Blitz, their energy soaring back up to before. The bassist noticed Elsbeth approaching and smiled to her, singing as though it were directed towards her with a grin. " Oh it's been getting so hard Livin' with the things you do to me, aha Oh my dreams are getting so strange I'd like to tell you everything I see..." He looked out towards where Orynn was (or still is if he didn't leave). " Oh, I see a man at the back As a matter of fact his eyes are red as the sun And a girl in the corner let no one ignore her 'Cause she thinks she's the passionate one" And so they continued with the chorus until the next point, which was directed towards Zea. This time, the grin was a little more than a leer. " I'm reaching out for something Touching nothing's all I ever do Oh, I softly call you over When you appear there's nothing left of you, aha..." The song continued on until it was finished and then moved onto one more before the band went onto a well deserved break. The banjo started playing until the rest of the band roared to life playing Black Betty. ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWBi2jg7SiU ) Once done, the band put their instruments down, saying they'd be back in twenty. The girl moved through the crowd to get to the drinks table, the guitarist heading out towards the washroom, the drummer to go and grab some snacks and the bassist stayed on stage. He pulled off his helmet, showing a clean shaven face and black hair that had been swept back by the helmet. He went about on stage fixing up some things with a rather familiar gait.

Nicholas managed to persuade Althea to allow him to go out and "chaperon the Weasley boys" who had begun to mosh in front of the stage. He followed Syhinad's suit, disenchanting his armour to be less lethal in such close quarters (back into a long black trenchcoat with brown vest, black pants and red tunic) and soon was caught in the fray with the rambunctious boys. He also began to sing along with the songs as he did so, grinning like a kid as he did so, laughing.
He stayed in the front chit chatting with Syhinad, reliving old times from their last year at school until the band dispersed.
"Well, if you'll pardon me, I'll need to be returning to my wife and children. I think it would only be fair to let Althea go moshing for a bit while I watch the kids, don't you think?"

"Indeed! She'll be a dangerous one out there on the floor, and I'm not joking."
He isn't but he smiles anyway.
"I'll stop by some time soon Nic, do take care, i some more talking that needs to be done."
He waves Nicholas off and looks up to the stage, straight to the singer/bassist
"Hey! Any chance for a showdown?"
He winks at him knowingly.
"Old school London rules, down Main street.."
Hopes to God that everything is what he thinks then this person should know what he's talking about.

The familiar face split into a devilish grin and winked back. "Tip yer hat and don't be shy; there's plenty more where that came from."
He took a few gulps from his water bottle as he let Syhinad on stage. "So what'll it be? Pistols at dawn?"

Syhinad hops up, tossing his hat aside, and removing the silly coat. He twists his wand a few times and they become a black long sleeved shirt and black pants, with a leather jacket on. His hair is now instead of thick auburn locks, long and white, down to his shoulders.
He smirks, hoisting the guitar, and tossing the bass to him when he's had a bit more time to rest.
"Indeed, pistols...I'll see you in the After life?"
The last word lingered, and he looked at him, hoping he'd catch the hint.

It took a second or two for the man to catch on before he grinned. "Agreed. It's your funeral then. But, the Afterlife it is."
He set up his bass and checked the equipment to make sure that it was still properly tuned. Everything seemed in order and some students began to amass around the stage upon seeing one of their teachers, Syhinad, go up on stage to play with the single band member.
"Ready when ye are."

Syhinad checks his own instruments out, tuning it as only he could since he needs it to be perfect by his standards.
He plays a few experimental chords, nothing hard, his fingers moving a little clumsily, but then he smiles.
"I'll be kind when i read your epitaph...any last words?"
He winks again, and waits for the kickoff.

[Don't godplay my character, thanks.]
Althea doesn't fell like moshing in an expensive costume with children. (Students or her own.)
