"Orynn? The surly fellow from slytherin? Looked like he always woke up on the wrong side of the bed? I think i remember him, I never really was his friend, nor was I his enemy, so...I don't really think I'm worried about him."

Sipping her Pumpkin Juice, and with her gaze firmly to the floor so there was no repeat performance of last time, Alora didn’t notices that Donall had decided to come over, and actually talk to her, before he spoke. Looking up slightly, she didn’t dare to catch his eye, he would only laugh at her.
Although, from what she saw, he did look rather good with his long green blazer and dark forest shade of green trousers. She wasn’t exactly going to tell him though. ‘He’s being civil, that’s all it is. Do not think too much of it.’ She thought to herself.
Hearing his comment about her shoes, she didn’t really know how to react. “Yeah, I was thinking exactly the same thing” She smiled weakly and looked down at her shoes. ‘Wasn’t expecting a nice reaction actually’

Isabelle was distracted from bragging about her costume as she noticed Alora and Dónall in the distance.
"Is that Kennedy with Alora?"
"Uh. Looks like it is. And they're not at each other's throat. That's odd." said Sera, squinting.
"I'd expect better of her, she's smarter than to mix with those kinds of boys... I swear, if she starts dating him or something..."
"Well, they're just talking. Nothing wrong with being polite."
"Arrr, I dunno, landlubbers! Ye Ol' sea snake looks like he changed skins, and fer the best! Besides, he be quite the feast fer the eye, don't ye think?" said Mary, who was really starting to sink in character.
"... What in Merlin's name did you just say?"

Lilianne sneaked away from her sister and her friends as they were busy gossiping about things she didn't really care about, and she went over to a table to get herself a glass of pumpkin juice, giving a shy smile in passing to Professor Lannsman, whom she had finaly recognized when his family joined him.
After getting her glass and grabbing a few treats on the table, she noticed Keladry, Neoma and Stevie hanging together. She approached them cautiously, as if afraid to bother them.
"Hi!... Er, I mean... Avast, ye scallywags!" She said in her shy voice.

"Hi! I don't know Japanese." He said, with a shrug. It would be pretty awesome, and he would be more like a ninja, bu this would have to do.
Wait.
He looked at Lilianne. A pirate. He was a ninja. There was a ninja and a pirate in this room.
Pirate.
Ninja.
But Stevie didn't do anything, he figured he wasn't a real ninja, and Lilianne was a friend. But, he WOULD probably end up going crazy. After all, he just ate something with sugar. He went back to the table, stashed a couple cookies in a pouch on his side, and started eating another one, coming back. Floyd scampered out of his pocket, and jumped headfirst into the pouch. Luckily, Stevie caught him with the hand that didn't have a cookie in it. Though, that resulted in him crossing his arms and generally looking awkward. Floyd had a miniature ninja suit of his own on, but nothing else.

Neoma could barely contain her giddyness. She was having a lot of fun. The refreshments were great, the music was tasteful, and the whole student body being together like this was just great tons of funs. She bounced in place to the music, looking over to Lilianne.
"Good to see you Lilianne..." she then addressed everybody. "How's everybody doing in their classes?"
She knew that school would probably not be a favored topic to discuss, but Neoma couldn't deny that her studies were on her mind. The mid-terms were only a couple of months away.

"Hi Lilianne! Or rather; good day. Or maybe I should be panicking and calling the police because a pirate just came up and greeted me. . ." Kel returned, grinning. She laughed when Stevie went to get more cookies and managed to catch Floyd the ninja with one hand and still keep hold on his treat.
"I've been doing good. I think I got the hang of turning things different colors!" Kel beamed, answering Neoma's question. She had been practicing on her slippers, which had come in a garish pink color. Since she couldn't return them because her grandmother had given them to her, she had changed the color until she got a lovely green color that matched perfectly with her favorite pair of fleece pajamas.

Dónall could tell that Alora was uncomfortable, and decided to leave the subject of her shoes alone, after he did a sneaky thing. He pulled his wand a little out of his sleeve and muttered a quick spell under his breath. Her shoes would, hopefully, fit better now, and she wouldn't wobble like a penguin anymore.
Looking for something, anything else, to talk about, Don said the first thing that popped into his mind. "So... wicked band, eh?"

Still looking at her shoes, Alora noticed movement within her shoes, not alot though. Shrugging and constantly telling herself she was just being stupid. She looked up at Dónall and felt more confident, she didn't know why or how, but she did. I think it's the shoes She thought.
"Yeah, it is rather alright actually. Don't you think?" With a smile she got up, and stood next to him looking over at the band. "I swear my shoes have got better now" She told him afterwards.

Don looked inquisitively at Alora. "Really, just like that? It's like magic or something!" He said, with a playful smile.
Taking a step in the direction of the stage, he said, "I think I'll get a bit closer to the stage, to enjoy the music better." He walked a bit further, and then, turned around, "You coming? Your shoes can't be an excuse now."

Lilianne looked a bit uneasy at the discussion of classes, and she rubbed her arm nervously.
"Hum... Well I guess it's okay. Well I haven't gouged anyone's eye out yet, have I? I think I'm doing pretty great with the theory, at least..."
"I really like your costumes. There's so many nices ones here too, it's pretty fun!"

"Oh, come on Lil! You're getting so much better at everything! And you always get tons of extra points because you're so smart." She grinned at Lilianne. "And you're really nice." Kel added, giving Lilianne an one-armed hug. She followed Stevie's example and went over to one of the snack tables, but she only grabbed a cup of juice and a sandwich with some unidentifiable substance inside it. As she walked back, she took a hesitant bite and discovered it was delicious! She munched happily as she rejoined the others.

Orynn smiled as he pocketed his sickles once more, having just risked them in a bet. He had not told the Headmistress of the bet, because having been staring at the disguised knight, he thought it was plainly obvious who would be under the guise. He wanted to challenge this theory, and see if Elsbeth agreed. The Deputy wasn't at all a gambling person, but it was a festive celebration, it was good to have some out-of-character fun every now and then.
Orynn was pleased to see that many of the students, and staff, seemed to be enjoying themselves. The music was not his taste, but he was the 'few' in this hall-filled room of people. However, the growing crowds started to unnerve him, and he shifted and fidgeted uncomfortably. Not particularly at his best in a room with this number of people. A classroom was a piece of cake compared to a ball.
When he noted that the night was with the Lannsman family, hugging the children and being cute-sy with Althea. Orynn snickered and looked back to Elsbeth, smiling knowingly. He didn't say anything though, wondering if the Headmistress would have figured it all out by now.

Elsbeth chuckled to herself as she saw the dark knight creature socialize with Dr. Lannsmann and her children. It was obvious who the creature really was. She turned to Orynn and spoke, jokingly. "It looks like our resident knight and Defence professor plays a mean game of dress-up!"
"I hope the band's alright. The music's good for the students, surely, but I wasn't so sure the staff would like it so much. Then again, the music had been left up to Aesir, and he hasn't even showed his face, yet..."
She thought for a moment, then spoke again. "Orynn, is the Ball to your liking?"

Orynn moved his head from side to side, trying to search for the right words to respond to Elsbeth's question.
"The ball is thus far a success Headmistress, there is no question of that. Look at all the smiling, albeit disguised, faces around you. That being said, this is not, to use a muggle phrase; my scene." Orynn shrugged in an 'oh well' kind of manner.
He didn't really intend on staying much longer. Of course, he'd ask the Headmistress for permission to leave before doing so.
