Neville returned through the fireplace. Behind him, through the smoke, emerged four forms, three of which were in white healer's robes.
The pretty brunette emerged first, and immediately crossed the room to Isabelle. She was followed by a young blond man, who accessed the situation and stepped over to Aesir, whose condition looked considerably worse. A black man with a shaved head emerged, and began going through Althea's stores of medication.
Lastly, a man emerged, dressed in Muggle clothing, leaning heavily on a cane.
He let out a low wolf whistle.
"Well, this is a mess," he said. "Alright, kids, get to work."
"We're already working," the brunette said, rolling her eyes.

In reply to her newest staff wizard, Elsbeth tried to sound put together and calm. Her voice faltered for a split second, but she spoke clearly. "There was an attack in the castle; a few... creatures breached security and went on a rampage. The situation is now under control, thank Merlin!"
With a slight smile, she jokingly continued. "Seems like you've missed all the excitement tonight."
Her eyes then shifted to Neville and the St Mungo's healers who came out of the fireplace. She let out a sigh of relief when they began working on the patients.

'Hmm... It seems that Hogwarts never ceases to end bordom around here. ' He said to himself and looked at the head mistress. His eyes seemed to turn to look at those that arrived from the fireplace he watched them carefully. He then looked at the head mistress again and spoke with no emotion.
"I trust no one was killed?"

Elsbeth let out a breath slowly. She was unsure of her answer, but would give it nonetheless. "I wish I could be one hundred percent sure, but all I know is that there were a few injured in the attack, some very seriously."
"I trust the staff will be doing a head count in the Common Rooms right now as we speak. We'll know all the details later, I'm sure."

From her response he stood silent taking in the information but during that time he was emotionless. His face was the same neutral eyrie tone. He looked one last time to the group in the wing and to those present aiding their wounds.
'Yes... A shame I wasn't there...' He thought again to himself and then averted his gaze back to the head mistress. He raised his hands to lower his hood and looked to her.
"If you wish for me to do anything I am willing to aid in anything." He said calmly exposing his bald head his face now showing a hint of sadness.

"You can begin by moving and ending by helping me get her some help..." Nicholas said, as politely as possible as he and Daviv arrived, levitating Althea's body into the room. Nicholas looked a sight paler than before, the adrenaline gone and replaced with abject fear. Blood crusted the cut on his forehead but determination kept him from falling over.
"Quick, where do we put her down, I need to find my children!" he asked, panic bubbling beneath the surface.

His eyes averted to Nicholas as he watched him. From the moment he was still and stood firmly planted with his feet he was off with a speed that many would not think possible for this tall man of his stature. He was quick indeed when he swept to an empty bed and prepared it for the woman who was suspended in the air by magic.
"This one is free use this bed." He said calmly watching Nicholas carefully. He stood at the bed and pulled out his wand to help suspend the female.

She lazily opened her eyes and looked to the blurred faces floating above her. Her completion was pale and ghastly, her eyes red from crying. Her breathing shallow and her skin was cold and clammy... She heard Nicholas' voice as if it echoed from afar... She answered in a whisper. "Ed- Edward...is...with...Shy-" She swallowed hard and choked... "Shyinad-"

When Althea was brought in, the Australian man stepped over to her, and immediately began to check her vitals. He smiled at Nicholas.
"My name is Dr. Hunt, I'm a specialist in critical care. I'm going to do my absolute best to set her right again," he said, as he pulled out his wand.
"Gravis Demonstro," he muttered. A light began to glow on the end of the wand, at first green. As he waved it over her abdomen, it gradually changed to yellow, then to orange, then to red.
"It's not as bad as I thought. I suspect her spleen is damaged and is probably bleeding, which means we need to fix it," he said. He began muttering a series of incantations, sweat beading on his forehead.

The pretty doctor stood over Isabelle, performing the same spell as her colleague. Her wand remained green, and she lowered it.
"No internal bleeding," she said over her shoulder to the man with the cane. "She will have some nasty scars, and I think one of her ribs may be broken. She also has a concussion. I'll do my best to minimize the damage."
She turned to Lilianne.
"Are you her sister?"

"Yes mam, I am. What can I do to help?"
Lilianne was standing next to Isabelle's bed on shaky legs, now moving her sister's hair from her face.
She looked pretty pathetic. Her front was splattered with food from Aesir's crash, her clothes were torn in places and she was covered with blood, most of it not her own. Her face was the messiest part of her, covered in scratches, blood, and tears.
She had pretty bad scrapes visible on her arms and face from being thrown and sliding on the floor with her sister on top of her, but as far as she knew, the creature hadn't managed to touch at all. Isabelle had successfully shielded her from harm.
She kept glancing over at Nicholas and Althea nervously ever since they got back.
She was starting to shake visibly, and her eyes were filling up with tears again.
She needed something to do, or she would soon lose it.

Nicholas, with help from both Daviv and the newcomer moved Althea to the nearest bed. Slowly, he helped ease her down until one she spoke. He moved along beside her, gently clutching her hand and listening to what she tried to say.
"Ed- Edward...is...with...Shy-" She swallowed hard and choked... "Shyinad-"
He quickly tried to hush her, but silently was thankful for the bit of information. "Rest, love. I'll find them. Save your strength, I'll make sure the children are safe."
Nicholas nodded to Doctor Hunt as he began his work, taking a step back and waiting for the doctor's prognosis.
"It's not as bad as I thought. I suspect her spleen is damaged and is probably bleeding, which means we need to fix it," he said. He began muttering a series of incantations, sweat beading on his forehead.
Not as bad as it looks, it isn't as bad. She'll be fine, she's with professionals.
Nicholas gave Althea one last long look before his senses kicked back in. The kids, his student, Syhinad...
Nicholas walked away from the doctors, knowing from the many times he'd been around them when they were hard at work that they needed their space, pulled his wand out. He took a few settling breaths and focused on a memory; he and Althea dancing at the last Hogwarts Ball where they'd first kissed.
"Expecto Patronum."
The burst of silvery light brought forth a massive ghostlike horse, a clydesdale with a long and shaggy mane. It moved towards Nicholas.
"I need your help, friend. Go to the Gryffindor Common Room and tell my Prefects I'm on the way. They're to remain there until further notice. If any of them have any word on my children, that should tell you so I can know as soon as possible. If you see Syhinad anywhere, tell him to go to the Gryffindor Common Room and to acknowledge he's going as well as his whereabouts at the time. Go." he said quickly as he unfastened his torn cloak and held it in his right hand. He also unbuttoned his coat and loosened his scarf some more.
The horse galloped off quickly. He turned around to look at the room one last time; Aesir lying in a moaning crumpled heap, Althea bloody and flitting in and out of consciousness, Isabelle out cold and torn up, as well as countless other innocent students. His eyes wandered at last and caught Lilianne looking at him for a minute.
The poor girl looked lost, alone. He sister was injured protecting her, the girl was shaking like a leaf, and looked like she was torn between balling her eyes out or fainting.

When Nicholas caught her eye Lilianne quickly looked down. As the events of the night were slowly dawning on her, she found herself unable to face him.
She concentrated on the doctor, hoping she would give her something to do to help.

This wasn't a place for a young girl such as herself. The doctors needed to focus on helping her sister, not keeping her calm.
Nicholas quickly walked over to Lilianne and crouched before her.
"Lilianne, I'm heading to the Common Room. I think it'll be better for you to be there until the doctors say you can come visit. It's in their hands now and they'll do a good job. We all need to leave them alone to do their work so our loved ones can get better. Would you mind helping me again, watch my back?" he asked, sounding like a nice police officer.
He gave the doctor a quick look of "Mind helping me out here?".

Lilianne stared at her hands as she wringed them when Nicholas addressed her.
In a very weak voice, she muttered "But I don't want to leave her, Sir, she hasn't woken up yet and she looks so bad and I'm worried..."
Lilianne drew a few gasps in quick succession and went on, her tone rising and her speech getting more and more hysterical...
"...and what if something happens and she doesn't get better and what would my parents think Sir it's all my fault she got hurt because I panicked and froze again instead of just running for cover like everyone else and I was too scared to move and she had to come for me and now she's not waking up and your wife got hurt too trying to help us and it's really bad and what if she dies Sir, then you and your children will hate me forever cause it's all my fault!"
Tears now running freely, Lilianne choked up a bit from talking too much without breathing, then she finally looked up at Nicholas, exclaiming in a high-pitched voice:
"And now look at me I'm freaking out again and being a burden for you and you don't need this right now!"
Lilianne shut her eyes hard and started sobbing softly, swaying on the spot, as if she was concentrating very hard to calm down but not being much successful at it.
"It's all my fault..."
