Andréa nodded to the doctor, then to Zea. Harvey was just about to say something, breaking out of his trance, when Lilianne started stirring at the touch of her mother.
"M.. Mom?"
"I'm here, Cocotte."
"We're both here!" Gasped Mr. Wesker as he rushed down to one knee to hug Lilianne as she raised herself from the edge of the bed, feeling rather sore from her bad sleeping position. "How are you? Are you hurt? You must have been so scared..."
"Humm... Dad, you're crushing me..."
Harvey pulled himself away from Lilianne but still held her hand, taking a good look at her. She had cleaned herself up at her common rooms, but her face and arms were covered in scratches and bruises.
Andréa kept her arm around Lilianne, who leaned against her, looking back and forth between both of her parents, letting the fact that they were with her sink in.
"Cocotte, how did you get hurt? The letter told us about Isabelle getting attacked, but you look like you went through a bad time yourself..." Lilianne's mother spoke to her in a very soft, soothing voice.
Lilianne's eyes suddenly filled with tears, and she couldn't look her parents in the eye anymore. She stared at her hands, hesitating for a while...

Hearing what Dr. Lannsman told her pet, Lilianne whispered to the hedgehog hidding in her hood.
"Hear that, Dins? You should probably stay where you are..."
She kept her head down on the bed as she resumed observing Nicholas watching over his beloved wife, and it wasn't long before she fell asleep right where she was.

Done fixing Isabelle's hair, Lilianne looked over at the Lannsmans. It looked like Dr. Lannsman was awake, and Nicholas was talking with her.
Lilianne looked back at her sleeping sister. She felt the urge to stir her, to wake her up just so that she could hear her voice, just to be reassured that she would be okay.
But with the gravity of her wounds, she understood that Isabelle needed her rest, and waking her up might cause unneeded pain. So Lilianne resisted the urge, gently stroking her hair for a moment, before she pulled her chair closer to the bed and rested her head down next to Isabelle, staring at the Lannsmans in silence.

Lilianne looked up to Nicholas after their escorting students had left.
"Thank you for letting me come back, Sir."
She walked back to her sister's side, dropping her bag at the side of the bed and pushed a chair next to the bed. She sat on it, looking over her sister.
Isabelle was still lying on her stomach. She appeared to be sleeping soundly. Her wounds were dressed and though she still looked pale, her cheek seemed warmer to the touch than before.
After staring at her for some time, Lilianne reached into her bag and took a hairbrush out of it, setting herself to work untangling Isabelle's hair, being very careful not to pull on it.

Lilianne was a bit guiltily relieved when Nicholas turned down Zea's offer to take her to her common rooms. She didn't really want to leave her perch for the moment. She felt safer than she had all night.
She looked back over Nicholas' shoulder at her still unconscious sister until she lost sight of her as they left.
She rested her head down and remained quiet, her eyes still leaking but not sobbing much anymore.

Lilianne peeked back from Nicholas's shirt and saw that the doctors were calming down around Althea.
She calmed down a tiny bit, and looked up at Nicholas. He didn't look right.
In fact his expression was probably the scariest thing Lilianne had had to face that night.
"Sir?... Professor... I think... I think you should go see your children. Please."
Releasing him from her hold, she grabbed his arm instead, using all her willpower to force her legs to move and try to nudge her head of house towards the exit.

Lilianne's anguish was about to increase when Dr. Castle adressed her, but then Dr Campbell calmed her down, a tiny bit.
Then the commotion around Althea happenned, and Nicholas bolted upright. If even he was scared, how could she even begin to handle it?
She grabbed Nicholas's shirt and buried her face into his side, eyes shut hard, trying to ignore what was happenning.
"I... I w-want to leave, Sir..."

Lilianne stared at her hands as she wringed them when Nicholas addressed her.
In a very weak voice, she muttered "But I don't want to leave her, Sir, she hasn't woken up yet and she looks so bad and I'm worried..."
Lilianne drew a few gasps in quick succession and went on, her tone rising and her speech getting more and more hysterical...
"...and what if something happens and she doesn't get better and what would my parents think Sir it's all my fault she got hurt because I panicked and froze again instead of just running for cover like everyone else and I was too scared to move and she had to come for me and now she's not waking up and your wife got hurt too trying to help us and it's really bad and what if she dies Sir, then you and your children will hate me forever cause it's all my fault!"
Tears now running freely, Lilianne choked up a bit from talking too much without breathing, then she finally looked up at Nicholas, exclaiming in a high-pitched voice:
"And now look at me I'm freaking out again and being a burden for you and you don't need this right now!"
Lilianne shut her eyes hard and started sobbing softly, swaying on the spot, as if she was concentrating very hard to calm down but not being much successful at it.
"It's all my fault..."

When Nicholas caught her eye Lilianne quickly looked down. As the events of the night were slowly dawning on her, she found herself unable to face him.
She concentrated on the doctor, hoping she would give her something to do to help.

"Yes mam, I am. What can I do to help?"
Lilianne was standing next to Isabelle's bed on shaky legs, now moving her sister's hair from her face.
She looked pretty pathetic. Her front was splattered with food from Aesir's crash, her clothes were torn in places and she was covered with blood, most of it not her own. Her face was the messiest part of her, covered in scratches, blood, and tears.
She had pretty bad scrapes visible on her arms and face from being thrown and sliding on the floor with her sister on top of her, but as far as she knew, the creature hadn't managed to touch at all. Isabelle had successfully shielded her from harm.
She kept glancing over at Nicholas and Althea nervously ever since they got back.
She was starting to shake visibly, and her eyes were filling up with tears again.
She needed something to do, or she would soon lose it.

Lilianne watched Professor Longbottom set her sister down on the bed, then leave. She walked to Isabelle's side. She was lying down on her stomach, since her main injuries were on her back.
She silently prayed for the St. Mungo doctors to make it in quick. Isabelle had lost so much blood... and she was still loosing some, since Dr. Lannsman didn't have time to completely stop the bleeding before...
Lilianne sniffled and blinked hard, trying to chase the tears away.
I still need to hold on a bit longer...
Chocking up a sob, Lilianne set to work cleaning out her sister's wounds the best she could, removing the bits of torn clothes that were stuck to them.

Lilianne looked torn for a second, as if as though she wanted to keep by her sister, she didn't want to let go of Nicholas.
She finally let go of Nicholas' cloak, grabbing his hand and pressing it for a second, before she left with Neville, now holding on to his own cloak as if her life depended on it.

Lilianne followed Nicholas quietly, holding on to his cloak and keeping a lookout for his back as he asked. She felt relieved as the Ravenclaw Head of House covered them. It look as if they'd be safe.
She could only pray it wouldn't be too late for Isabelle and Dr. Lannsman. They'd both lost so much blood... Isabelle could barely breathe... What if...
Move now, panic later... don't be a burden, Lilianne... He doesn't need this on top of everything else...

Sir Lannsman was asking for her help. He was trusting her, again. Even if she was nothing but an unexperienced child who could barely hold a wand...
His wife might be dying, just like Isabelle, but there he was, composed, firm and determinded. He would have every reason to lose it, but there he was, caring for Isabelle and her, even when it would be quicker to just take Dr. Lannsman away from them.
How could I ever dream to be as brave as he is?
Lilianne felt Isabelle's hand squeeze her own, and her sister gived her a soft push.
She let go of Isabelle, and stood up on wobbly legs, staring at her shaking wand.
She took a deep breath, wiped her arm across her blood and tears covered eyes, and nodded silently at Nicholas.

Lilianne screamed again as Dr Lannsman was torn away from them, the beast savagely ripping into her.
Still grasping her wand with a shaking hand, she tried to think of something to do to help the doctor, but she couldn't think straight.
She joined hands with her sister, making Isabelle hold her wand together with her, hoping her smart sister could do something to save the doctor.
But Isabelle was weezing, she looked as if she could barely hold her eyes open anymore.
Lilianne didn't know what else she could do...
Then, as if straight out from an adventure book, Nicholas lept into her sight, defeating the beast with a brilliant display of both magical and physical might.
She blinked a few times, as though to make sure she wasn't delusionnal.
Nicholas was now heading towards his wife.
Oh... please... Don't let this story have a sad ending...
