Althea nodded and then proceeded to find her spot at the staff table. She slipped Edward into the highchair and he quited down, knowing now that there was the prospect of food in his very near future. Isabelle to stopped crying, now that the pain had gone away as well as the source of it, her brother.
Althea waved to the professors seated to far away from her to actually say hello.

"Well, Edward's in a bad mood- He can probably sense I'm a little stressed out... And Vincent keeps resorting to violence... Though it doesn't help that Isabelle taunts him..." She sighed heavily.
Vincent shrunk back at his father's glare, knowing full well he was in trouble. Isabelle clung onto Althea's pant leg, wiping her wet face with her mother's trousers. Althea bent down to assess the damage done to her daughter. Her cheek was a little red, but nothing major. She wiped her face with her sleeve.
"Could you take Vincent back to the chambers and give him a little speech on why he shouldn't hit people? Make sure the house Elves don't let him out of his room until we come back from dinner... I'll take Ed. He's probably hungry... Thank you love..."

Althea entered the hall, looking rather worn out. Her hair was frizzier than usual and she continuously tried to push the rebel strands out of her face. She held a squirming Edward in her arms, his face was red, contorted and wet as he screeched heavy sobbing tears.
The sound caught the attention of the majority of students and faculty as she made her way to her seat at the head table. Needless to say she was embarrassed to bring the screeching baby to dinner, but rather found that she had no choice. Vincent and Isabelle followed behind, Vincent making faces at his sister and vice versa.
There was an audible 'smack' followed by a child's cries when Althea spun around to see what was the matter. Isabelle was in full blown tears and she caught Vincent making faces at his sister while crossing his arms.
"Vincent! How dare you hit your sister!- That's it- no supper for you. You've been bad all day... You are going to your room and to bed right now." She grabbed him by the wrist with one hand as she balanced Edward on her shoulder with the other arm and began to make her way back towards the Great Hall's door from which she came.
She looked over her shoulder at Nicholas, giving him a desperate look. Please.

Althea quietly mentioned to Nicholas, "Tell me what happens, please love" before closing the door behind her, going back to tending to her little ones.

Althea sighed heavily, realizing what was done to Orynn's sister. "Look, I think you should just get her to where she needs to be... Perhaps we're all just over reacting here- Once she talks to Orynn, she can be on her merry-" She looked around at the crowd that gathered. "Just kindly escort her to Orynn's office or wherever- and be done with it." She looked to Orynn's sister- "Seriously next time send an Owl, it's only polite... Then people won't be so jumpy. Oh and speaking of polite, you should pick up some manners, you don't have to like us, but you can have the decency to be civil with your fellow wizard-"
Althea unlocked the door again believing that things seemed to be under control and began to step back into her and Nicholas' chambers.

"She's lying about being wandless... She's carrying a cane- I'm sure it's in there, since she clearly doesn't need it to walk... She refuses to tell us who she really is, and she's lying about being 'unarmed.' Why are we putting up with this? Escort her off the premises..." Althea had little tolerance for the snobbish woman claiming to be Orynn's sister. Not only was she absolutely sure she was lying about concealing her wand and generally being rude, but Althea just wanted her gone even if she was telling the truth about who she was.

Althea grabbed shooed her daughter who also decided to investigate the commotion in the hallway back inside the chambers, closing the door behind her. "Isabelle, no, back inside." The three year old glanced at the mysterious woman before practically being shoved into the room by her mother. Althea locked the door behind her with a brass key. Althea stood guard at the door. She let out a quiet "Oh." When Elsbeth mentioned who it might be and recognized the familiar features of the woman.
Well, then, Miss Novim... I should still lock the doors...

Althea stepped halfway into the hallway, still leaning a bit on the door frame. "What's going on, love?" She caught the serious expression on on Nicholas' face, the one that he put on when he meant business. She discreetly slipped the wand off of her belt. "Who's our visitor?" she asked an attempt to be polite, feeling the tension in the air, hoping that things might deflate a little.

She nodded at Shyinad's comment, "That's a good idea, together we should be able to figure this little mystery out..."
She turned the page of the London Times, and continued to read the paper. Vincent pined for the comics section, despite him not being able to read yet. She extracted the page and flattened it out in front of her son.
Edward who had lost interest in eating his cereal, began to try to throw the morsels at his father.
Isabelle was quiet and continued to eat.

"Ok, you should definitely tell the headmistress... Even if it turns out to be a bunny rabbit, the point is we're making sure that the kids are and staff are safe... that things sounds scary- In pain? Hun... This is probably a job for Shelly. She's the vet." She smirked. "Good morning, Syhinad. You look chipper and hungover... Another night of too many rounds, I see. I will kick your butts if you two flew home afterwards... It's not a good example for the kids." She pointed to an Article in the London Times. 2 killed in drunk driving related crash. "Point and case." [MORAL ALERT! ]

Her tone definitely shushed, "What did it look like? Was it big?" Althea was itching to know. She was curious about what Aesir was talking about, but was hoping he was either hallucinating or that whatever he saw was completely harmless. She munched on another spoonful of soggy cereal.

"I can't say that I have, the only weirdness that I've been witness to is her." She nodded in the direction of the divinations professor, and keeping her voice down, "She seems out of place to be teaching in Hogwarts- She's kind of callous- but then again, so is Orynn... Anyway- I haven't seen anything..." She was more curious now, "Did you see something?...If you did you should tell the Headmistress, especially if whatever it is is hostile."

Althea turned to greet the flying professor. "Good morning Aesir, is everything alright? You're kinda jumpy... Did you manage to get some sleep?" She smiled to herself, thinking she knew the correct answer, "You went to drinking with Shyinad, didn't you?"

Althea entered the great hall with Ed in her arms and Vincent and Isabelle following shortly behind, like a mother duck being followed by her chicks. She nodded hello to Nicholas, who was currently engaged in a conversation with a Slytherin student, and took her seat at the staff table at the far end of the hall. The children climbed up onto their chairs and Althea placed Ed into a wooden high chair which she pulled closer to the table.
She helped Vincent spread jam on his toast and buttered Isabelle's share for her. Each of them had some oragne juice and milk, as well as a banana. Althea spread out a small handful of dry cereal onto the tray in front of the baby who picked at them with his pudgy digits.
Althea poured herself a tall glass of orange juice and a bowl of cereal as one of the Hogwarts owls swooped down, dropping a copy of the Daily Prophet as well as the London Times. Althea pushed the copy of the Daily Prophet aside for later and unfolded the London Times and began to read the front page news, while she waited for Nicholas to eventually join her.
